Truth is there is nothing to report from rivers state in term of actual elections. What you have is gruesome killings in the name of politics and the two parties trying to out-write each other with the results.
What is going on in Rivers State is a shame that nobody should be proud of as a Nigerian.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) according to The Nation, has achieved a major breakthrough in the corruption probe of ex Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Reports say the agency has arrested and is detaining Mr. Donald Chidi Amamgbo, a cousin of the immediate past minister.

The arrest of Amamgbo is rated as a major breakthrough for the EFCC in its ongoing probe of the ex-Minister.

The suspect, who was arrested in Lagos, was branded as a “front” for the ex-Minister.

Reports say EFCC discovered that Amamgbo used four companies to lift oil and gas in billions of dollars. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the four firms.

The companies are Mezcor Oil and Gas Limited, Tridax Oil and Gas Limited, Lynear Energy Limited and Bulk Strategic Reserve Limited.

The office of Mezcir Oil and Gas Limited at No.5 , Sannar Street, off Yalinga Street off Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent, Wuse II Abuja, has been sealed.

“During the search, documents, which include payments for purchase of houses and vehicles were recovered," someone familiar with the matter said.

“We are not giving up on other accomplices of the ex-minister who were used to plunder the nation’s oil industry," another person in the know said.

Senator Aisha Al-Hassan of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been caught on camera boasting about her influence on the Nigerian Judiciary.
But in a twist of Event Today thursday 11th feb 2016;

The Supreme Court has thrown out an appeal filed against the election of Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State by Hajia Aisha Al-Hassan, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in last year’s election in the State.

While dismissing the appeal for lack of merit, the apex court on Thursday afternoon affirmed the election of Arch. Ishaku as Governor.

Meanwhile, the court has fixed February 22, 2016 as date when it would adduce reasons that informed the judgmen

The woman minister who contested as the APC governorship candidate in Taraba State is seen assuring her supporters that she has the money and the “rulership” which means federal power to manipulate the judicial system and obtain a favourable judgement.

She also confessed that judges of the Appeal Court called her and told her the judgements in advance of the public announcement in court.

It's only a foolish man like Fayose that wud orchestrate this kind of arrest without knowing the implications.
Aluko is intelligent enough to know he wud be arrested,by even federal agencies, not this kindergarten state magistrate court,for prosecution for perjury.I even suspect he was pushing for it with d number of news channels he visited and number of news conferences he gave with the same story and evidences.He is also aware nothing can be done to Fayose for now due to his immunity.
But this is where he wants to hit Fayose bad and the intellectually challenged gov is not seeing it:convict him(Aluko)for perjury,u then discountenance his tribunal evidence and accept these present version of his story.Whenever Fayose exhausts his immunity,which is just about 2yrs from now,other parties will then approach a court to compel the same police to arrest Fayose for fraud,based on previous conviction of Aluko for perjury, and if d authorities want to really hit him well, to argue that his entire tenure as governor be expunged bcoz it was ab initio a product of a criminal act.
Of course Fayose is st upidly not seeing beyond his nose and is playing right into the hands of Aluko.

Even if he runs to the senate, he will have no immunity seeing that is the exclusive preserve of governors and the president with their deputies.

I repeat, once Aluko is convicted for perjury which Nigeria's laws treat so lightly with an option of a cheap fine in lieu of an equally cheap prison time, then the evidences supplied to convict Aluko will serve for Fayose's waterloo.

You think his outburst was just for fun. He knows the price he has to pay, but also knows what his perjury conviction means to Fayose and his accomplices.

Once Aluko is convicted for perjury with his own assistance with credible evidences, Fayose would have succeeded in investing in his own future jail returns.
