uuspace: Let me share with all my little knowledge, i hope i will not be called a monkey hunter.
I am not as sophisticated as the TA and FA guys. But what i used to know that there will be a bear is, i went to FT.COM and checked the trend of most stocks in the NSE.
Lets use FBNH as an example, there you can see the 5 to 7 year price movement in a graph and there is something similar in all the years. between November to second week in January there is always a bull. From the second to third week in January the bears appear FBNH normally loses close to 20 to 30% value of the January peak. The bear and the consolidation continues till second week in march then there is a little appreciation of value. till the mark down date. The lowest point is always the mark down date. From march/April the bull will start slowly till mid may where it will peak. From may nothing fantastic will happen till November again where big bull will come.
I checked this trend in several companies they are the same. So expect FBNH to touch N11 or below before rebound. After that is the right time to jump in and plan to exit around may. After may nothing will happen again till November.
All the doubters you can save this and prove me wrong. You can go to ft.com and check what i said, pick any stock you like. I have nothing to loose. But i will be happy if i helped save money for someone. @johnok the above is an example of what am trying to say. We share info here to help one another. #justsaying |

onegentleguy: BUY ...I'll say it again, BUY. Buy into fundermentaly sound coys and ACCUMULATE the guys still 'trekking some 50-65% distance away from their intrinsic value'.
...and for those holding DANGOTE FLOUR, DANGOTE SUGAR, CAVERTON, ACCESS, FLOURMILLS, ETERNA, CONOIL, FIDELITY, FCMB, DIAMOND and ZENITH, hold on very tight people. ...in fact, be overprotective of this coys and never let go in the short term. (...my definition of short term here is for a period of 3-11 weeks). ...For Mr TIME is already on his way. ...and for some, our foreign brothers are already there !!
DD always advised pls.
#THERESULT #BELIEVE I am very sure you have good info on this. Thanks boss |

ImperialCovfefe: Hello house,
Can someone please point me to a site where I can obtain historical price charts of Nigerian equities, extending more than 5 years?
Most importantly, though, I am looking for a resource where I can get historical P/E ratios of Nigerian equities. Or, alternatively, a place I can get average yearly traded price of the equities.
Thanks . Easykobo.com |

Dreamflyin: Good day house. Please I need help to a few questions. I do more of TBills, and about to divest to Stocks and MMF. My risk appetite is a bit low since this fund is a family money which I had ran for 3years at minimum of 12% per annum. Could holding good stocks for a few months give a 20% profit? My target is keeping it at 20% per annum. Is stocks the best for me, or MMFs? Everyone seems to be discouraging you. Well, I am relatively new here so the advise I am giving would be that of a beginner with few months experience. The truth is Stocks could actually make 100 times what u presently making in MMf. You only need to ask questions, do you own research as well. The market so far has been amazing this year. You can make more than 20% trust me. The truth is also that you can lose as well. My candid advise again is that Stock trading is not for the faint hearted. U can do it man. |

onegentleguy: Except for the 10% holding I decided to keep for some personal proof of stake reasons, am already out of the SKYE. ...sold off 90% holding after meeting my set out target. ...I did inform the house of my exit then. But if I would ever consider buying more, I would prefer to do so at below N1. I still know that Mr SKYE will spring some future surprises. ...For now he is still involved in some key discuss with Mr TIME.
Pls do well to read thru my signature below. ...DD always advised pls. Appreciate your response boss |

kolaish: That is why we are traders via our online platform. I will never wait for a stock to take me down with it. The moment I buy a stock base on sentiment/probability, I usually monitor it every now and then. It has work for me in C & I, caverton, amongst others. Mind you, it is not compulsory I buy transcorp again, but my eyes are on it from monday (bid & offer). The most important is to know when to press the button for buy or sell. This strategy can give me 60% profit in 2 months while someone holding on will still remain at the same place
However, pls note that no strategy is perfect Absolutely sir. The truth is everyone knows what he or she wants from the NSE. So there is no need waiting once you know you are ok with the percentage increase. We all have our different destinations, hence the different strategies. I agree with you sir. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by bestidafa(m): 11:22am On Jan 06, 2018 |
kolaish: My investment strategy varies depending on the stock I am holding. It has favoured me at least 75%. Let me give you an insight:
I bought 1m units of Transcorp @ 143k two weeks ago = N1,430,000 sold yesterday @ 1.86 = N1,860,000 That means profit of N430,000 - N15,000 (txns charges). A gain of N415,000 is to me a good investment on the above. Mind you transcorp does not have good numbers supporting it and may/may not go down to the same price I bought it, but a bird in hand is more than 20 in the bush, my gain is already in my account. Mind you, I keep monitoring it again when it has bottomed out around 165k or less, that means I will be having 1,120,000 units rather than the 1m units I am holding before, Or I may decide not to buy again and buy another stock.
But for other stock in my portfolio like DF, I decided to leave it even when I saw it going down because I know their is nos to support it and it can still go up.
Please note that no strategy is perfect in the NSE, but experience sometimes, is the best teacher. I like this |

Zhirinovsky: The only thing I don't understand is why a bank will make illegal deductions from a customer's account to the tune of millions of naira? That's a criminal offence! What if the account wasn't audited, how would the customer know that his bank has been stealing from him. Somebody in the bank needs to go to jail for that! If SARS kills robbers for stealing a couple thousands what about these criminals on suit. You would be surprised to see how much your bank has stolen from you if you contract external auditors. As we cannot afford auditors due our tasere account balance, we will keep overlooking the illegal deductions and taxes the banks impose on us. That's really terrible. For me it's unbelievable. It means they knew what they were doing. Really bad |
