Politics / A Letter To Peter Obi by bestofthisyear(m): 6:10pm On Jan 02, 2011
Happy New Year and compliments of the season. A new year brings reflection of the previous year for everyone. With reflection comes perspective so I hope your reflection of 2010 gives you the right perspective needed for 2011 because it won't be easy. Your plate is full this year and recent events just earnes you more responsibilities should you choose to accept. Anambra has great prestige anywhere you go so attention has always been on the jewel of the east but with the recent developments in the senetorial race many eyes are on you to see which side of the line you choose to stand on. Is it the side of old Nigerian politics where we talk from one side of our mouth and do the exact opposite? The side of old politics where free and fair only apply to allowances given to politicians? The side where Nigeria is used as the play toy of those who feel fit?? Or are you on the side of the new Nigeria. Where the days of old oppresive politics are outdated and unwelcome. The side where the voice of everyone is important and accounted for. The side of the new generation who are sick and tired of seeing Nigeria rotting from the inside out? We in Nigeria must begin to live by the words we say and let our yes be yes and our no be no. If you truly believe in free and fair elections the world will be awaiting to see how you handle this senetorial race. Let the people, not selfish interest, be the focus of this race. We will be anxiously awaiting your decision and seeing which side you represent.

Respectfully yours,
A concerned Anambra citizen

If traffic isn't managable in Naija, how will guns be any better?
