Such a tragic and heartbreaking incident. My thoughts are with the victim and his loved ones during this difficult time. We pray for his recovery and strength for his family. Accidents like this remind us how fragile life can be—may they find comfort and support in the days ahead. |
Healthy criticism and clear responses are signs of a working democracy. While Afenifere has every right to voice concerns, it's also fair that the Presidency defends its reforms. The truth likely lies in the middle—progress is being made, but challenges remain. What’s needed now is less blame and more collaboration to move Nigeria forward. |
This case is a serious national security concern. Smuggling a dangerous agricultural pathogen into the U.S. is deeply alarming. *Fusarium graminearum* can destroy major food crops and harm human health. Using a U.S. lab to study it without proper clearance raises major red flags. Allegations of foreign government funding add to the concern. It highlights the growing risk of agroterrorism and biosecurity threats. Research institutions must tighten oversight and safeguard sensitive projects. This incident could strain already tense U.S.-China relations further. The investigation must be thorough, transparent, and just. National security must never be compromised in the name of science. |
Chief (Dr) Ebuka Onunkwo’s profile reflects the kind of visionary and grassroots-connected leadership Anambra South needs at this critical time. His rise from humble beginnings to becoming a major employer and philanthropist shows a deep understanding of the challenges ordinary people face. Importantly, his commitment to community development, education, and infrastructure proves that he doesn’t just promise change—he delivers it. As the senatorial bye-election approaches, the electorate must prioritize proven capacity, character, and compassion. Chief Onunkwo stands out as a credible and impactful choice. |
This is a timely and commendable initiative by NEMA and SEMA. With the growing threat of flooding in Ekiti and other parts of Nigeria, proactive community engagement, infrastructure investment, and public education are crucial. Tackling the root causes—like poor waste disposal and lack of drainage—alongside preparedness measures such as early warning systems, can greatly reduce the impact. Collective responsibility from citizens and enforcement by authorities will go a long way in safeguarding lives and livelihoods. |
Respect brings recognition |
A commendable show of political maturity. Regardless of party lines, it’s good to see leaders engaging peacefully. Hopefully, this benefits Osun State and promotes national unity |

Locals also allege that the terrorists had long occupied nearby forests peacefully, but a military raid during Ramadan triggered the group’s current wave of violence. Fear and panic have forced both the wealthy and the poor to abandon their homes and flee to safer towns like Kaiama and Ilorin. An earlier audio message from the group threatened deadly attacks on Duruma and other parts of the Borgu Kingdom, warning of consequences for any resistance. |
After her stunning performance at the Root Picnic 2025, Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Tems addressed years of invasive and inappropriate commentary about her body. She took to social media to express her frustration, quoting a troll’s comment and calling out the obsessive scrutiny she’s endured for seven years. “Okay 7 years in. It’s time to pack it up. I never thought I’d need to say it but you are all weird. ‘It’s small, it’s flat, it’s fat.’ Dog IT’S MINE,” she wrote. She further challenged the objectification with sharp wit, saying, “‘Show us your bumbum’ lol so me too I will turn and say ‘see,’ Nah show ME yours first??” Tems reminded fans and critics alike that her body is not up for debate or approval, adding, “I will add and lose weight. I never once hid my body, I just didn’t feel the need to prove or disprove anyone.” She closed with a powerful statement of self-worth: “The more you don’t like my body the better for me actually. But it’s enough now. Move on from my bum.” |
Tems’ words are a masterclass in self-love, confidence, and boundary-setting. Her boldness in standing up to body-shaming while reaffirming her worth beyond physical appearances is powerful and inspiring. A true queen who reminds us that our bodies are ours—not up for public debate. Bravo, Tems! 👑 |

It's heartbreaking to see the people of Abraka, especially students and young residents, forced to protest daily just to demand the basic right to safety. That unarmed protesters were allegedly met with gunfire instead of protection is deeply troubling. These are not criminals — they are citizens crying out for help after countless kidnappings. The authorities must listen, not silence them. We stand with Abraka in their demand for justice, safety, and a real solution to this terrifying wave of abductions. Enough is enough." |
