GrandCommander: Pls I need help in this. You should try and live in any province for year. If you don't get a job etc then you can move. But not before trying to make it home, for at least a year. try and do your own research on this. |

ZannyShasha: God bless you guys for the good work you are doing here.
Sorry for my many questions but please I'd like clarifications ..
Do we get points for spouse's certificate evaluation? As he is a doctor, won't it delay our application? Though we are about to begin the process to evaluate his medical certificates by the appropriate body ( so he can start taking at least the part 1 exams but they say it takes months) but I'm just wondering, for the purpose of this application, if we really need to at this point.
P.s : we need all the points we can get.. He's doing the IELTS with me Your husband can get points for his Highest university degree. I have no idea about medical certificates, hopefully someone else can come and help you out. |

hoomogh: ok Thanks. I am preparing for my IELTS at the moment. Can I send my reference letter across, please hint me on other docs that may be required. I run a very tight schedule. Thanks I don't understand what you mean, but there is a specific format your reference letter must follow. Here are some documents you need to have when you receive your ITA Employment Records 6 months Bank statement showing the required amount needed Passport Birth certificate Education credentials Marriage certificate (if applicable) Police certificate Digital photos Proof of Medical examination (this is done right after you recieve ITA) Please note that the documents required mostly based on the information you filled on your EE profile. Check this site out for different format for your reference letter: http://www.fsw2014.info/sample-reference-letter/ you can adjust to meet your requirement. |

hoomogh: Hello dears, I recently got a letter from WES stating that my Diploma and BSc transcripts have both been verified by my institution and evaluated by WES. Although I am yet to conclude the transcripts processing with my school as my contact keeps telling me, the transcripts are currently pending with the school Admin. Going by the recent report, is there a need to continue with the transcript processing or the letter from WES simply means,my school has done the needful without me, sending my transcripts over ? Please I need more clarification from experienced minds here. I don't think you would need to send your transcripts anymore, Since evaluation is already in process. If they need your transcripts they wouldn't commence evaluation. |

greetings: Hello, every one, especially the gurus in the house.
I've been following for a week now and am just catching up. The resource here is worth thousands in my pocket (no agents services).
Zandora, irondome, Jesusdway and other gurus in the house. Please help answer this question.
If I choose not to evaluate hubby's credentials with wes and not claim points for it. Can I still claim points for his work experience, as far as we can get work reference?
Thanks. You cannot claim points for your husband's work experience, unless he earned them in Canada. The only place where spouse can help with points is ielts and ECA. |

Doggys: Hello House. I need advice on how to go about Gift Deeds. I have about 1million naira and i have a family of 3(me,wiffy and son[1yr old]). Whats required for me is about 3.5- 4 million for Cad$20,000 and my Sister is willing to lend me the balance but not for a long time or rather when i need it,and i need to make it look like its a gift not to be collected back. Please I need this information soonest to know if i should go ahead for the international session of NewBrunswick in dubai in July. And also, i want to be prepared to apply for Saskachewan province too. Thanks I think even if you get a gift deed, you mentioned not for long. This will not work, as CiC can ask for proof of fund at any point. The money needs to be in your account until you get your PPR request. Mayb other experts in the house can help you shed more light on this. For Saskatchewan the money needs to be in your account for atleast 3 months. After that they might still request for proof of funds. Hopefully others can provide more detail answer to your questions. |

morgan2006: No Sir, WES will reject it once they realize u sent it. just allow the school to send it. U can pressure them to send the transcript but not for u to send. avoid paying 322.05 twice. Anyone can collect their transcript directly from the school and send them together with photocopies, as Long as you don't temper with it after the school must have sealed it. I did mine that way, and I didn't pay 322.05 twice. |

zuriel2016: Hello all, I was wondering how to calculate my Academic IELTS
L 8.5 (CLB 10) 32pts Reading 7.0 (CLB 9) 29points Writing 6.0 (CLB 7) 16 points Speaking 8.0 (CLB 10) 32 points
overall 7.5
will it be correct to claim 32+29+16+32 = 109 , for my CRS score in this section?
Which CLB level will i use for transferability (foreign work experience and foreign education)P CLB 7 i guess?
I intend to write the General IELTS version this time around ( if required) 32 points for clb 10 if your spouse is accompanying you if not. It's 34 Clb 9 31 without spouse 29 with spouse Check http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp |

ZannyShasha: Pls house, Still waiting for answers. Kindly assist If you want to go the pnp route, since you have over 400 you can wait for when Ontario start issuing PT again. There are rumors that they might resume around June might be before then, but if you are invited to apply with them their application fee is 1500 $. Since you are a Lawyer I don't think it is in demand noc in other Province. ( I might be wrong please do your own research) If you don't already have the highest band score ielts then that might be your next step. |

Adiahabasi: Most federal institutions in Nigeria now have an online transcript system, whereby you just make your transcript order online and its sent via courier within a week of request. @ least am sure of OAU's. It costs 19k dhl service charge inclusive. So simply find out online if your school too has gone digital. All i did was google oau nigeria transcript. Hope this helps This is good. I hope other schools follow suit soon. |

justicia: Another question pls: Can WES accept Naija university transcript form a Canadian institution. Am in York University here in Toronto and they have my transcript from my Nigerian school and they can send it for free to any where if I request so. So do you think WES will accept it. Your transcript need to be sent directly from your school. To apply for your transcript, you will need to go to your school and write a formal application of request. In the letter you will need to indicate the address where you want your transcript sent. Since you are out of the country, you will need to ask someone here in Nigeria to help you out. |

JesusDWay: It appears they upgraded their requirement - the Administrative Assistant now has to be Bilingual.
In addition, some group of folks I know are beginning to send them emails for them to consider holding an information session in Nigeria, they have planned to do one in India. So, y'all might join in sending them emails as well, persuading them why they should come hold a session here as well. Thanks. I saw that, I have other past experience that fit another Noc on the list. Tracking down my former employer to get a reference might just be difficult. I hope they consider having one of their sessions here in Nigeria. |

sholemania: Wow... Thanks for this wonderful update.. Ama just send what they require of non nationals of session location first then.
Just wondering if any Nigerian in the house has ever been invited after emailing for confirmation.
Guess u and I are just gonna be an example of the information session thing... I am an Administrative assistants NOC(1241) in a bank, am planning towards the Ember months for the information session.
What about you? what is your NOC? and which country did wanna go for your information session? and if you are planning July session then u should be set to email for confirmation like May if that has not been done already.. Well I haven't seen any Nigerian that indicated attending the information session, So I guess example it is for us. Lol. My noc code and yours is the same, mine is in a law firm. I wil still need to get my ielts done before I can email them. But do update me on their reply when you do email them. I'm looking at attending either the US or Dubai one. But Dubai will surely be less expensive since I and my family might go together. I heard spouse of principal applicants might need to attend too. I'm not sure abt this though. |

sholemania: Hello House...
Do we have anybody that has gone for New Brunswick Information session in any neighboring countries?
We have some scheduled to be held in some closer countries like Egypt this year.. Guess UAE as well
I am looking at going for one... Please how will I go about it... Hello, I'm looking at attending one also by July . This is a quote from their website hope this helps. Important: We do not allow registrations from non-residents/non-citizens without written authorisation from our office. If you want to travel to another country for an information session and you want to use this participation towards your eligibility for NBPNP, you should email us with your profession and language test results in the email body and a full resume in attachement at: promotions@gnb.ca >>>Please do not make travel arrangements before receiving a confirmation from our office, we will respond only to people who we will invite so if you do not receive an answer it means we do not believe your attendance will generate an invitation to apply based on your profession! If you are a citizen of India and you reside in India, please note that we will not authorize you to travel to another country as we are planning to have information sessions in India later this year. Details of the dates will be posted when available so check this website often but don't send inquiry emails regarding the dates. |

MrsM: Hello people! Please I have a question oo. I just got a mail from WES that my assessment is ready. I only sent my certificate to them and I'm sure they received it. But my transcript was just sent yesterday and I know for sure that its enroute. Can they do assessment with just the degree certificate? Should I be worried? I don't think you should be worried. I saw on another site that, sometimes they evaluate with just certificates. I guess depending on the country of study or school of study. |

Hi JesusDWay, Regarding reference letters from former employers. I tracked down my former employer from almost 10years back,he is not running the same business anymore and he his using a different company name now. I told him about him issuing reference letter for my past duties and he informed he no longer had letter head from the previous company anymore. What do you advise I do at this point?
Thanks |

MrsM: Hello there! I will advise that you practice writing examples. ..at least 3 of each..and look for someone to 'mark' it for you. Time yourself (I used a stopwatch to practice) You can write more than 150 or 250 words...dont write too much though and most importantly..dont write less than the required words. Also..take into consideration the tense that was used in the question. If it was something that happened in the past, use appropriate past tense..and if its something that is present..use present continous. Dot your I's and cross your t's. Divide your writeup into paragraphs and make sure your writing is legible. You should also try to take a couple of minutes to write out the points you want to write on and then just develop them. Just refer back to secondary school essay writing. Finally..make sure you read over what you've written before time runs out. There might just be some little little mistakes you missed. USE PENCIL TO WRITE.It just makes it easier for you to make corrections. Oh ...also try to take more than 1 pencil. Two or three will be better..because anything can happen! Here is wishing you goodluck for January! Wow! Thank you so much. Your tips will surely help, come January. |
