Prologue.
in a big Catholic church, The Choir, men and women were standing and singing a Coronach from a white file. The atmosphere is gloomy it was easy to note the catafalque and the coffin from the interior angle everyone watched as the candle placed round the coffin burns out. The bereaved sat in the front roll three young ladies and a boy sitting in the middle. The fairly older woman sitting beside them continued to cry with convulsive catching her breath. Her life is gradually getting empty nearly two Weeks she lost her husband. It was a gory experience she never wished to tell the police who had been looking into the case. She brought out the third white handkerchief wiping out tears from her arching and itching eyes.
For twenty eight years, she had lived with her husband. His sudden death left a huge vacuum she feels terrible about. Every one listen in sobering as the priest continued with the cortege. The old man putting on a dim eye glass wasn't the only one that had been grasping at the gold plated coffin. Many sympathizers could not stop but admire Fred's coffin. Some had forgotten why they came to the pay their last respect. Oga Sunday, Fred's gate man kept his eyes fixed at the coffin. He debated the worth of the coffin, fighting the different amount that came sharply to his head. He had worked with Fed for twenty years. He knew he select the best item in the store. Two weeks ago he visited the shopping mall with Fred. That wasn't his first time but it shocked Oga Sunday to the bone and he flustered at the price of the Hold wrist watch Fred meant to surprise his wife on valatine’s day. Sunny had rated Fred on high esteem. Lots of people do. He was rich, famous and influential most especially in the two big cities in Nigeria, Abuja and Lagos. Now, Sunny sees Fred the same as he is even worst. He was no expectation. But he concluded his thought knowing not everyone would be buried in a ground style with a golden coffin.

The Requiem ended and benediction was called. All sympathizers stood on their feet while they watch as the undertaker carried the closed coffin while the Cross cross-bearer was followed by members of the clergy carrying lighted candles. Three Priests walked immediately after them and the family and then friends of the deceased and others walked behind them all. The final burial ended at the Church cemetery where the remains of the Mr. Fred was finally laid. A small luncheon was held at one of the expensive hall in town. All these were not planned by the immediate family but Fred’s younger brother who felt the need to appreciate those who honored their invitation.

Chapter one
The table alarm went off. Tamara Badmus moved on the bed. She felt sleepy like crawling back into bed. Flash from the sun peep through her cotton, she moved to the other side of her Mattress shielding her eyes from the sun. She closed and opened her eyes again and again feeling drowsy. She groaned as she sat up from her bed yawing widely as she scowled and hopped out of bed. Her work had been onerous lately, she was not willing quick. Working with NCI had been her dream since she was ten. Back then, when all her family lived in Montana, her Godfather was a top officer at the Crime Information Bureau; A sector that served as a link to FBI. Grey was involved in the Computer Crime Sector particularly cyber crimes and terrorist attack. Though he never discussed his work with his family yet he was most times on the news each time underground terrorist sect was discovered.
Lots of times, Grey had escaped death narrowly. Twice he escaped bomb explosion. He had been short three times on his left arm. At a time when Grey ascends the peak of his career, his only son was kidnapped. Lucky for him, the FBI were able to track down Spence, he was a though drug dealer at the same time stealing money from different accounts. Grey was able to get hold of him with the help of his teams. Spence was able to escape with other hard criminals from the prison. He came out of the prison, tracked down Grey’s family for months; He was smart enough for Andrew to believe the flux and hoax. He got him kidnapped but the FBI was smarter. Andrew narrowly escaped death and it became a family war, Grey's wife filed for a divorce after her son was rescued. She filed for a law suit, Its either Grey retires or she leaves. His job had constantly acted as threat to her life and that of her children. That’s her alibi for wanting to part ways. She got the support of the jury. Everyone expected Grey to be sober but he was more cheerful than ever. He told his colleague at work that he was tired of commitment to any woman and he could give his children support they needed without anyone watching his late night time. .Those gruesome signals did not scare Tamara off her dream. She insisted on been an undercover agent. Everyone including Tamara's mother warned that the job was demanding yet she persistently ignored all comments to discourage her dreams.

Tamara got some strength into the bathroom, It's was almost the size of a Master bedroom. She quickly turned on the mixing valve from the shower. She had a cold shower with a bathing jell which filled the air with a prodigious fragrant. She was used to staying long in the bathroom but today was not like those usual days. It was past 7.am and she does not want to keep everyone standing for the proposed meeting. She took out a red fitted red T- Shirt from her wardrobe filled up with expensive shoes and clothes. She loved Armani but lately, she had changed into wearing Marc Jacobs. She dressed up wearing a light but attractive make up. Her brown blue pant matches well with the red Stilettos. She heard the sound of her stomach churned while searching for her ID card from her dressing table.
‘I am famished she grinned.’
She got sight of herself in a full length mirror preening if she had not missed any time out. Being a detective had not stopped her from being fashion freaked. She looked round to see that she left her room in perfect and tidy shape. She then descends from the stair into the dinner room to have her breakfast. Her mum and younger sister where already seating. above them is a Gold chandelier hung high up.

“Good morning mum…’’she flashed a smile wrapping her arms round her mum who
Gently sip coffee from a small mug.
Hello… she causally greeted her young sister Fara as she gave a wink. Fara waited hoping to hear her sister say something. She gawped at her as she took her seat

“I said it mum she always forgets. Fara grunted wiggling her eyebrows

‘‘What is it this time again?’’ Tamara scowled as she sat and the same time picked a piquant quiche on the stainless tray.
It’s there anything you remember aside from your work? You are such a freak

Tamara gawked at her sister ignoring her sullen expression; she took a bite of the quiche it taste great. I am resuming to my new office today… she whispered to break the silence.
‘‘I wish we don’t have to know about your ugly experience. Fara cut in sharply meaning to provoke augment. Their mum gave a warning look which made both of them called for silence.
She had barely nibbled the quiche when a miniature measure of nervousness ran through her spine wondering why Mr. Jide had suddenly called for a meeting on Thursday she gulped all the tea in the mug.

“Thanks mum... this breakfast taste good…but I am running late.” She stood up and bowed kissed her mum by the cheek. She then moved to her sister with a gently kiss on the forehead.
Fara watched as her sister exist the door. For months now, they haven’t been on easy terms. Tamara had issue with forgetting things more importantly important event about the people she cared about.
Two years back, when Fara graduated from college, the Tamara did not mark out the date on her calendar to make it down to New York. She also forgot to honor her first debut. It took much energy and late night practice for the show. 'WHOES GOT THE AMAZING VOICE". For so long Fara felt Tamara has been selfish noting there was no conviction that could make her accept Tamara attitude to forgetting things.
From aged three she attended Summer Music Camp, in California; A Cappella Academy. She also went to Manhattan School of Music in New York where she graduated with a 4.7 GPA. That didn’t count much as she had won two different awards with her group at the college. At the international Music Award, she did a duet with her Spanish boy friend Alex; they made it to the top final but where evicted. She had always made it to the final in all the shows yet the crown never fell on her. She was nominated for the Junior BET awards but never won the award. In all her sister’s shows from secondary to college, Tamara had never attended any of those shows and concert. Her job had always been on top priority. Fara and the rest of the family had accused her several times. The only one who couldn’t care less about all these was her father, Senator Badmus. He perfectly understood the task involved in Tamara’s job. He too is a very busy man with much social responsibilities.

As a cardiologist, in the hospital of Chicago, he thought one of his three children would have interest in medicine he was somewhat disappointed when none choose his path. He nevertheless imposed his will on his children. He had often appreciated their effort towards their studies. At least none came out with poor grade. Two years back the president offered him a ministerial post in Nigeria and he was working in the second tenure. He tried his best to make the medical sector favor the children and for his effort, the Nigeria Medical and Dental Association had benefited a lot. Olufemi Badmus made sure his three kids, Ife, Tamara and Fara had the best education any child could ever want. It's been three years his family moved back to stay with him in Nigeria yet Fara was the only one who abhor everything about her country.

She had little excuses to stay out of the country but lately she had been making contacts to start her music career in full length. She was good at playing piano and a good lyrics composer. Racial disparity had been a gap that poses challenges for her career in the US, though she had managed to create a good impression about herself. She composed songs for likes of Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes; she featured with Maddies and Tae in their song “Why they’re Hot. She wanted more and the only way she believed she could do this is to get signed by a big record label
"I can’t... Believe Mara forgot my birthday mum... she is just too annoying

You… Know Tarmara have got lots she is thinking... Her mum tried to make excuse

“Are you trying to defend her seamy attitude? You know mum…Dad sent me message this morning and Ife too but you know Mara don’t love anyone but herself. She is just a selfish

“I know you are angry… but this is not the way to celebrate your day. Her mum ended with a smile and embraced her. Holding her palm tightly to hers she looked into Fara striking eyeball. Of course she knows her children well. Fara is usually a tough girl to please and for Tamara, she is a though lady to deal with. Most times she seems to get a clear excuse to escape her fault.

“Well…But I know what might cheer you up. Her mum managed to force out a smile from her angry face. She watched as her mum lifted up a small sized white envelop from the table. She stretched and handed the white envelop over to her.
What's in it? She asked curiously
Well... When you open it… she responded still holding up the smiling face.

Fara softly unsealed the envelop, the title of the letter head first infused a smile out of her already disturbed mind. She began to scan her eyes through the bold letterings letter. Mr. Lara Badmus noticed a palpable sense of happiness flowing through her daughter. For quiet sometimes now, she has been on happy. What she wanted was not just to be a famous musician she wanted to make a niche in the world. To impact and change the world through the power of lyrics and voice.

Oh…My God… You must be kidding me… She jumped over her mum almost knocking her to the ground.
I can believe this mum…You did this for me mum. Thanks so much mum.

I can believe it. I thought my singing career was going to end up being a pipe dream. I was a total jerk to the judge at that talent show in Atlanta… I thought no one will want to sign me in.

Never… are you great to be ignored… well… I sent three of your demos with your resume and they loved it.

‘Thanks mum… I love you. This is the best birthday gift ever… ever … she kissed her mum after which she ran into her room. Mr. Badamus love to see her children happy… she had always supported her children in the choice of their career.

Tamara drove through the streets buzzing with life and the passing cars. Within twenty minute she came into NCI compound. There were about five buildings in the massive compound. She checked up her make up from the front mirror gluing her lips together correcting her stained lips. She was right in time. 7:53. the meeting had been scheduled for 8.PM. She got down from her car, locked up the doors and step into the entrance door. She responded to the greeting from the hefty security man by the door. It has never happened in her four years working with the NCI; the elevator suddenly took a break from function. She had to use the stairs, by the time she reached the sixth floor, she was gasping for breath. She came into the large office used by the typist and the secretary. She was surprised with the welcoming smiles and clap. The large crowd comprising the entire Unit gave a big surprise. Two days back, she received a wonderful promotion for a job well done in napping a suspected cyber criminal who had existed for eleven years. Four friends who had made it in defrauding and blackmailing married women where eventual brought to book. Tamara never gave any of her colleagues her clue. She has her special way in getting to the root of any crime. Even the toughest trained at university of South Florida; she was the top of her class.
It was difficult getting into the FBI, when she return to Nigeria for a one year service, the Police offered her employment. She did not see herself manifesting with them. The opportunity to work with the NCI; National Crime Investigation came she hoped returning to America was the best choice. Lots of crime and the desire to get to the roots of it came. Though, few of those cases had been sweep under the carpet. Tamara had the desire to expose political crimes even if the corrupt government will used their power to overrule it.
"Congratulation’ ’ the crowd cheered into the air with a warm welcoming smile.

Oh... My God... She chortled; she wasn’t expecting any surprise of such. Everyone loved her at the office. Aside hard working, Tamara has a knack for making friends. Her team sprite made everyone at the office to find their way to mingle with her though she was the linchpin in getting hold of the toughest criminals in the country. The NCI had worked with the Police and the EFCC but their part of the government force had undercover. Their name is usually not mentioned to the public. Everyone just attribute credit to mostly the EFCC. The NCI are well equipped and funded by the American government and the country. They had successful hid most of their tricks in catching the notorious offenders from the police and the EFCC
...I can believe this... Thanks so much… this won’t have happened without my term members; Kizito, Grace, Tobe and Kemi. Pointing to them all

“…Well you deserve it…” Tobe mentioned and signed with a flashing smile. She hugged her term mates one by one also appreciating everyone. After few wine and dine every one returned to their offices to start the day’s work.
Tamara got a call from Mr Jide call last night. He called for important meeting and this morning. It was not only to surprise Tamara with a minor feast. For three months, the Police had been investigating Fred’s murder all effort had proved abortive. The case has now been handed over to the NCI for proper investigation. Fred’s wanted more and the Police wanted to prove their worth. They have sort a pact with the NCI to get the root of the bizarre

…..To be continued.

Big Boys

The giant Elephant of the forest
Standing straight and tall
Mute the challenge rule of the Empire
Silent the rules of our rights

When we place our rights
One Dollar equal to Naira
Then did our heart rumbles as babe
Esual we were to quickly sell our raiment
Only for a day crummy meat

The Master of our Master gives his verdict
Our Master dare not bite the finger
He dares not contest but bow low
He comes back shaving our bald head with razor
He dried Up the well in our compound
As commanded by his master

Who will kill the Master of Our Masters
The Big boys
Who will take into captive The Master of our Masters
The Big enemy of my Empire.

Who am I

My name dazzling on a crystal paper
I gazed upon the letters
One two three four and five.
If only I wore the face of Keke pamper
If only I were a breed of Bill Gate

I wish I wish was my constant prayer
Dreaming
A world never existing I lived
Then I wish since my teen
I wish for the delight of Preti zinta

If only I were the breed of Adenuga
Love will be fantastic
Dreams fulfilled
At Thirty I was still wishing
for the wishes of the whitches

I drifted off wishing
I woke up wishing
I look back wishing I never wish
I looking forward to knowing

Culture / How Bad Are The Ijebu People by bezzus(f): 7:14pm On Jun 14, 2015
Until recently I have never encounter this. Though I often see it in movies but I can see it truly do exist

A friend of mine from ondo state is deeply in love with an ijebu lady but his family are strictly against it.

According to them ijebu ladies always dominate their husband
They always want to be richer or famous than their husband

They restrict families of their husband from visiting

They are diabolic

I asked an Abeokuta woman and she did not deny it

She even said her family refused her from marrying an ijebu man

Are ijebu people that terrible?
Education / Common Among The Yoruba People by bezzus(f): 8:31am On Jun 06, 2015
I am not trying to discriminate. I am a Yoruba lady so I know this too well.

Yoruba ladies like to bring an hoax, pretending they can't Yoruba fluently or correctly which is rather creepy and stupid.

Growing up in the north, I met lots of Yoruba girls, we all speak Yoruba fluently even some igbo girls speak but coming down to the west I was filled with shock when I met some Yoruba girls who claimed they can't speak.

This is surprising as My nephew born in the UK can speak and my other family in US speak fluently.

A cousin of mine who grew up in Akure told me she couldn't speak Yoruba . She started by speaking English with me which at first I accepted. Later I got to know she was lying (not that I believed her in the first place) but later I refused to respond in English (I don't understand why I should speak English to my family even at home).

It's good to speak good English but speaking ones mother language doesn't stop coherent English.

Judging by all, I still pick lots of errors swimming in those ladies English.

This is a thing A hausa or igbo will not do.

A Spanish woman will not rule her language for English

Crime / Child Abuse In Great Degree by bezzus(f): 2:42pm On May 28, 2015
I was In town today when a girl started up a conversation which made me wonder if child 's right law exist in this country.

The girl told us an event which happened between her 15yrs old friend and an older man.

The Man had for long been having illicit affair with this girl. He invites her to his home, sleeps with her and gives her a thousand naira

This time the Man decided to increase it by giving her 2 thousand naira in advance. The girl went as usual to pass the night. After two Round of sex. The girl excuse herself to pee but left.

The Man now is angry and reported the said girl to her friend whom he had bribed with a bottle of drink to convince the girl to come back.

He said he is angry and wont even call her for night again if she continue that act.

I told everyone it was child abuse but they all said she gave her consent and had a grown up stature like a married woman.

I wish could find the Man and report him to appropriate body. But do we even have law that protect the right of children in our society?

Career / Students Are Ignorant Of True Career by bezzus(f): 10:18pm On May 22, 2015
I thought this might be helpful to someone

When I was In secondary school, most of us in Art department dream of becoming a lawyer and every science student wants to be A medical doctor. Only few talk about mass communication and other courses

I know a friend who rejected dentistry for Agricultural science. She was ignorant and now she feels sad

Many who see dentist feels they only treat teeth. Removes it and that all. But that's not it.

Dentistry is the branch of medicine that is
involved in the study, diagnosis , prevention, and
treatment of diseases , disorders and conditions
of the oral cavity, commonly in the dentition but
also the oral mucosa , and of adjacent and
related structures and tissues, particularly in the
maxillofacial (jaw and facial) area. Although
primarily associated with teeth among the
general public.

Seeing the movie Gray's Anatomy open my mind to a lot about medicine.
For instance a baby who had cleft was brought to the hospital, now a plastic surgeon could perform this operation but it is mainly the work of Dental/maxillofacial surgeon which was assisted by a prediatric surgeon.

When you see an accident victim injured in the head through his face, then, dentist, with other doctors will attend to such victim.

Only few schools offer this in nigeria but it is important to know that they have the same right and all benefit all other people who study general medicine has.

Literature / Every Character In A Novel Actually Exist. by bezzus(f): 9:01pm On May 22, 2015
Lots of time, when you see a movie or read a story we only imagine the characters which we only see in our head

other times we get emotionally involve, draw into it but it later fade away. Going through my anthology I came across one very famous character Mrs Malaprop in The book : The rivals.
She is a typical example of Our Wonderful out going first lady. PEJ.

Mrs. Malaprop is the chief comic figure of the play, thanks to her continual misuse of words that sound like the words she intends to use, but mean something completely different.

I happen to know a man who the typical description of Wole Soyinka 's Lakunle. He teaches in a Private secondary school but with a weird and creepy attitude.
This man is over 50 still single but very intelligent. He wears tacky clothes to school and carries lots if books which is not even related to the subject he teaches.

Lakunle is the village teacher with big grammar. He wanted to married the most beautiful girl (sidi) in the village without paying her bride price. To him paying of bride price is babaric, outdated, rejected, degrading, unspeakable,..... But in the end, he lost her to balee Baroka

Education / Many Are Educated But Archic And Paranoid by bezzus(f): 8:45am On May 20, 2015
It's really annoying and more devastating whenever such happens. I have had great encounter with lots of educated people who exhibit such attitude.

Many have a faux conception of idea or should I say mistaking a brand for a product. Not only that, when you speak correct English or pronounces an English word the way it should be lots of Nigerians have their skin crawls.
Yet they never cared to know if you are right

For instance I went out to buy drink from my usual customer along the street. It was hot and I asked for any soft drink. They all laughed and said we have just coke. As I was leaving I heard the younger daughter saying I am full of my self. Which one is soft drink again. 'She should have called it hard drink'
Later in the night I went to buy milk and a asked for a sahet(saying it as sae$. ei) they laughed along with the guys there. I ignore it still feeling confident.

Other things I found is some people , making attitude when I want to buy things like nooodles and I did not call it idomie
Or when I ask what seasoning cube they have and then. they laugh

My contemporary at the church once laughed when I told her I was having igzaem (exam) to write. She laughed and said you and this English.

Well all in all I am glad there are lots of people around who still understand and acknowledge the fact that many of those words are right.

Chapter six

In Fred apartment with his children, he woke up not long after Kemi left the house. He did not know when he drifted off from his awful thought. Life is too short as he hear people say but why cant the short time he has to spent on earth gives him the greatest happiness he desire. His sibling kept him at arms length, the thought of straggling Bose ring through his mind. He envisage if that, would solve is problem or bring back the trust between himself and Kemi.

He checked his wrist watch, glanced and dart his eyes around the room, the voice from the living room echoes rigidly. That must be Dammy he thought. He got into his pants and made a way through the door, but why is she calling his mum this early, the sight of the living room was void just the furniture.

Dammy? He called out looking out for her.
She appeared from the kitchen with tears all over her; he could sense panic and fear in her trembling voice.
Where is your sister? Holding her and trying to cuddle her to himself.

She is sleeping she whispered quivering

Her face had gone wide and her eyes red. He looked steadily and intensely at his father. Fred knew she must be worried, she obviously wants to say something. He stared back into her eyes with an assurance countenance in his voice.

Angel, you can tell daddy anything I promise to be here.

She busted out crying; he too became more petrified worrying why a seven years old girl would wake up on a morning like this into tears. He held her too himself petting her.

Is mum dying? She suddenly coughed those words.

she asked again this time in a louder voice

He became confounded. He knew his daughter to be a curious prying girl but such question arose his fears.

I saw mummy die in my sleep... And she is not in her room.

Its only a dream no body his dying no body... he invited a smile trying to reassure her.

He had barely finished petting her when he cited a note on the table, he made a quick step towards it. He glances at it over again.

Dad is everything okay. She asked waiting for a quick respond

Yesangel your mum went somewhere, she want me to take care of you..
She smile looking at him,

So, mummy is not dying?

Sure you mum is healthy.

He went into the kitchen, just as he knew it to be, it always look neat and tidy. The plate sparkles, the gas cooker white and the sink neat. He opened the fridge, he was glad. His kid loves to have bread as breakfast. He brought out the bread, heart a kettle of water.

Dammy went back into her room, Clara was up rolling on the bed, and she feels a little weedy or lazy to stand. The girls knew the morning was going to be the best theyve experience in the past one year.

Every morning, they watch their parents struggling to greet each other, other times; they watch the nag departing anger bewitching them, providing a way for the worst goodbye. They were happy to be with their father this morning.
He served the bread with the omelet egg he prepared, He placed a cup of tea each beside them. And quietly, he took a seat next to Clara

Its been a long time we had breakfast together Clara told his dad picking into his eyes.

Yes and mum is not withus someone is always left out Dammy quickly added looking away to evade her eyes meeting with his

Someday I believe it will be I want you too to be happy... he told her faking a sincere smile

Are you happy? Dammy asked his father in a less beaming voice.

Im happy... he denied changing the topic...

Eat your food... He snapped. You both know the rule here table manner uh.. So, you too, just have you breakfast. We shall have a nice chat later. He lied knowing he needed to find a way out of the house as soon as his wife returns

He let them have their breakfast maintain the table manner rule. He had his eyes fixed on his food. The trauma of breaking off with their mother would damage the love between him and his kids. He wasnt ready to sacrifice that for any thin. He also needed to be happy. He considered for a while things that might happen if he dissolves his marriage.
His children will grow up raised with a different idea; they will never be close as family and it could cause a psychological breakdown.

He assured himself that his wife suffered a fathers affection as a child. He will do anything to protect his children for facing the same course.

He has pretended for a long time, acting happy to protect his childrens happiness. He still loves them and would do anything to keep his marriage. Loving his wife for the sake of his children is hard but he know it will be a bitter pill for him to swallow

He took his phone. All he has in his gallery been Kemis picture, their time together at the beach, series of dates, the visit to the museum and the movies altogether. He smiled as he glance through forgetting he was at the dining table with his kids

Daddy? Clara shapely called out to him awaking his from his dream world. You are smiling all to yourself.

Uh not really finish with your food. He kissed both girls in the forehead and head up to his room dialing Kemis number.

More often, Fred hate getting attach to people, he fight getting them off his life when the need come. He cries even as an undergraduate student when he was ready to resume back to school.
Whenever he cousins visit, he tries to hide the tears feeling their absence even before their departure.

He sought to call Kemi for the last time, not to make things up, but to apology for his breach of trust and for taking advantage of her. He agreed with her when she said he used her to buy his happiness. He had much happiness been with her but his children gives him more joy. He wished she was the mother of his kids but, he believed fate has dealt with him and he needed to face reality.
He wasnt; ready to get back with his wife. He tried all he could in the past to make things work. The increasing bizarre behavior of his wife, strike a dead end. He will not dissolve the marriage but he concludes never to act as a husband but a loving father.

He dialed the number several times, he wonder whom she might be speaking with. For hours, the line was busy. He waited lying on the bed with the puffy pillow over his head. His bones were weak he tried to suppress the weakness reaching through his hand. The sudden weakness scares him much. He remembered he hadnt taken his drug. He aim to the half bottle of nestle water on the table, he opened the box of drug and swallow three tablets with the water.

His doctor warned him just barely three weeks, ago. His blood pressure had risen to a high degree. His doctor complained, warned him to desist from whatever might be causing a serious depression. He is likely to suffer from a dysthymic disorder. Doctor pat feared the risk of having to treat such patient. Most of his patients with the illness die after long treatment. His hospital have only been able to manage view. Fred stands the risk of having a cardiac arrest if he didnt take caution.

Fred lay on the bed still dialing the number after thirty minute; the phone rang constantly with each ring sending more hope. At the fourth ring, she heard her phone ring from the bath room, she was just having her bath after a long sweet sleep.

Hello she answered with a smile that was glaring.

Hi... How... Was your night... he asked her stammering with fear.

We need to talk please dont turn me down. He added feeling on easy tapping his feet quietly

I have a flight to catch up this evening I am relocating back to Texas

Oh... Can we talk before you leave? He voice changed he wasnt too happy to hear her leaving but he was thankful he made the call

Uh... I hope all is well...

He was confused what to say. He kept a minute silent before telling her how much he loved her; he needed to see her before she leaves and he would appreciate if she could accept the invitation.
They struck up a conversation and finally decide to meet at lick lip eatery. The one close to Kemis office opposite her of office

Even still, Kemi knew their relationship was over she felt pity for Fred after thinking over his ordeal. The love between them was a memorable one. She would have done all her best to keep the relationship going but for his marriage, she didnt want to be the one to dissolve it.

They concluded and planned to meet at the eatery close to the Kemis office. She hanged up smiling. He thinks of Fred sometimes. He is has a unique voice and he loves to hear him play the piano on weekends. He is one of the reasons she resigned to live in Texas. She need to get him completely off her head.
Her mum advises she comes over to start a new life. She ignored it at when she brought up the ideas but after thinking through she decided it was time yield to her mothers advice.

Chapter seven

Kemi entered into her apartment, she looked round the house, her eyes capturing every detail in the living room. She was weak, she had cried all the way in her car home. She begged God to give her a second chance. She sincerely wanted another chance to make things right with Fred. She wanted to avoid all the trouble of his wife like plague

She came into the living room... nobody was there, he glance around with her eyes picturing all the future in the house. Her girls ran quickly and they with a big welcome. They told her how their dad took care of them before she could ask any question. She needed not to ask any more she had all the information she needed. She compel up smile, asking the girls of their father.

She lifted her head up, it met with Fred, he looks handsome as usual, she need not ask; he must be going out, she thought greeting him in a loud whispering voice. She took time to observe him. He looks tempting, his hair naturally curled back, and she could sense the fragrance of his perfume in the air. He must have changed his perfume. The one she had never preserved before now.

We need to talk she told him breathing through her mouth. She wasnt going to pick a fight with him, she sense in his countenance; the thought that must be flowing through his mind. She looked at the girls, cajole them to go up into their room.

Mum and dad need to talk.. we will call you when we are through. She smiled at them stretching out the chocolate bar in her pocket. The girls grabbed it then hurried out of the room. Fred let his girls out of the room before reacting. He will not give into her fight, never again putting his hand into his side pocket to watch the drama she is about to display, he oddly squealed into her face.

What do you want from hang me arent you tired of frustrating me She was prepare for it. Nobody would believe shes changed. She was willing to take the sacrifice. She knelt down in his front.

Please... Fred... hear me out... she get close to hold his leg as she pleaded sobbing..

She had repented, but with the doubt she sees in his face, her pleading wasnt going to be the simple answer. She looked at Fred as he shook his head in disbelieve.

Dont be dramatic Bose a leopard ant wash away its sport. He bent down to whisper in her ears. He walked out on her leaving her weeping, pleading for forgiveness he still did not believe she was sorry for her past.

Chapter eight

Fred got out of the house. He was getting confused, he turn back, look at the house. He remembered Dammys dream.

Is this woman going to die? Her behavior is creepy and suspicious he soliloquies to himself. He is beginning to get scared, afraid to start his car. His hand trembling, he took a deep breath resting his head on the steering. He needed to catch up with his appointment.

He narrowly starts his car and he drove out of the compound into the busy street. His mind flashes back to the last scene. For the past years, his wife has been an upsetting wife. She never at any time apology or plead. When they got married, she was a loving sweet woman, he knew her to be submissive. But the night she pointed out, that she was only nice to get him to marry her, he had lost faith in her completely. Other women still try to hide their noxious act from their husband but his wife was the opposite. She was ready to fight him when trivial issues ensue between them.

He came into a very busy street. There were two lane on the busy road, the weather was sunny and the road was dry. Fred was lost in thought. He forgot to Trafficate He was about entering the Odutola Street. The coming lorry was close, he turned the steering towards right to avoid collision, it was too late. There was a head on- collision. He had no intention of bumping into his coming car. The lorry met with his car sharply. His car went high up over the lorry, it hit the lorrys bonnet and It land on the road. The two coming car that had no knowledge of what was ahead also hit his car to a side leaving it totally wrecked. The scene was horrifying. In a spade of time, the policemen had surrounded the place. Fred was in the car laying unconscious helpless.

The road safety men informed the government hospital who came to rescue Fred and the other three injured victims from the other vehicles to the hospital. He was rushed to the hospital almost dead. His blood was cover in his blood. The broken glass had paired into his eyes and his noise bleeding.

Kemi became worried; she was there at the eatery waiting for Fred. She was beginning to get upset.

How the hell could he stand me up again thought angrily biting her lips. She stood up, pick up her phone. She dialed his number. It rings continuously she waited angrily to bust out her anger when he finally picks it.

What is the problem with you? I have been waitin...

Sorry madam this victim was involved in an accident. She rushed after the doctor told her he was at the state hospital.

Raising her head high, her eyes met with Bose who eyed her. She looks pailed , worout and frustrated.

I want you to stay off my husband I love him and he loves me I mut have made some mistake in the past, but we will pass through it. She wishperd avoiding others from hearing them.

Some group of doctors are in the operating room cutting your husband in the heart trying to save him. And all ou think about is ayour failure as a wife. To have have shame? She almost scream out on her.

Time of death 5:25 pm, the senior doctor whispered lodudly. Making way out of the room.

Fred left his wife in the deliberating mood. He was not going to fall for the fight she wasnt plan on her part to throw at him.
One lesson she learnt in this past few month is submission. It was too late to change what has been done in the past but it could be corrected. Her mother advised her.
It will be a bit hard for Fred to come to terms with her since altitude. She only needed to give him more chance and she hope he would also provide the venue for this new turn-up.

She stood speechless as Fred declines her good gesture. Fred I am talking to you. You should give me the courtesy of responding to my good gesture.

Are you trying to pick up another fight?

I am not in the mood to fight. I

Then let me know when you are in the mood. He took a deep breath.

Bose begin to wonder how wild both of them have grown apart these years. All she wanted now is a happy home.

Fred... she called his attention. I am trying here to be a good wife. I have changed.

Oh....change uh... he snared. Imposing a smile.

May be you now have a different meaning to that. Bose you can never change its who you are.

She fined his statement discouraging she stood speechless, thinking through, he watch as Fred walk away nodding his head. She could hear him faintly.

She's change. Liar Can the devil really change?

Mrs. Chiamaka explains this, Fred will misjudge his action. She mustnt fight as warned but he was losing patient with him.
Tomorrow is another day. She compose her anger, went back to the living room, she helped her girls with the box and sent them to bed.

All night, she kept her eyes opened thinking, her eyes permanent on the turning ceiling fan which runs with her thought. All her thought echoes through the room and the vibrating fear of losing her husband make her quiver.

She imagined what Fred must be thinking about on outside that room, she could hear the slow music from Freds telephone.

A solemn music Fred loves to listen to each time they have an argument. He is definitely angry with her. She thought standing up from the bed.
She feels absolutely itchy. Its hard to wink her eyes. Not at this time she meant to make peace.
My God Fred thinks Im nothing to turn good. Im so confused. She aims her hand to get the tissue paper on the dressing table.

All through the night, her mind travelled back to her first meeting with Fred till the day they finally knot the tie. It was the only memory she could give credit to. No matter what it takes she was ready to have Fred back but she wasnt sure if Fred wanted it

Chapter five
****************************************************************

The next morning, Bose woke up early. She spent the night thinking. Her marriage is about to end. She did not need any prophet to tell her. Unlike other women whose marriage wreck havoc pending on their husbands sexs scrape, her marriage has been blessed with a wonderful man. She stands at the eager of losing it all.
Exactly 5:53, Bose alarm giggle, she touch press a small bottom at the top of the table clock. She left a small note on the table; it reads more of an apology message then a permission note.

Bose
I am so sorry for leaving home early I have to see my mother and its very important. Please help me take care of the kids.

She drop the paper, she open her small brown purse to drop her black pen. She knows for sure, Fred cant ignore the last sentence. She recognizes the love he has for his kids. That was one of the weapon she used to work unfairly against him.

She needed to talk to her mum. The only person she belief could help her out of the mess she created gaudily for herself.

If she knows a better way to solve this mess she could have done it all alone. Moreover, she need a second advice.

The gateman was surprise when she called him. It was Saturday morning and her Madam always spent most of her time at home on this day. Even if she means to go out which she solemn do, it wouldnt be so early
Her attire was actual, simple but elegant. She did not wear any make up not even a lip stick but her hair is well dressed and neat.

MadamI hope all dey well. His looks tells, he was confused and from the tone in his voice,
She knew he was confused but she wasnt ready for small talk

I am going to my mother. He mutters as she drives close to the gate.

She drove out of the compound. For all the years she spent in her marriage, she never cared to make her husband happy. she never been worried in all life. This time, she feels unsecured than ever. She prays she get the solution to solving the problems.

She drives along the road. Few cars travel along with her. She sobs in silent continue driving, beaming bitterly she want her life to be back to life.

She finally arrived at her mothers a beautiful building in the country side of Lagos sate. The compound looks quiet as usual. It was quietly different today.

She alighted from the car, not to happy, she knock on the door gently, but hard enough to call her mothers attention who was expecting her call. She calls her up at night, their long talk called for the meeting. Mr. Salami need to tell her the secret she been hiding for so long. She could no longer keep the secret within her.

She came out from her room still in a night ware. Her face is swollen and her eye red filled with tears. She tries to hid it from her daughter the moment she walked in, it was not easy hiding her express.

Good morning mummy she greeted staring into her swollen eyes... Mummy what is the problem youve been crying she asked surprised to see the thoroughly red eyes. She only saw her mum in that mood years back. That was at the time her parent still lives together.

Could it be her crisis with her husband that is causing sorry for her mother? She stood waiting for responds as she asked her mother why she had a swollen eye.

Thank God you came in time, I need to tell you something, its very important before we talk.
Kemi was confused, looking at her mum pointing into one the couch in the living room, she gently sank into it.

Mum, you are scaring me I hope all is well you look sad, an your eyesmum

You dad did not leave us I cheated on him..

Mystified, thinking she didnt hear her well. She asked her mother to repeat what she said. The only story she knew and the only one her mother told her which compelled the hatred she feels towards her dad so. Any time any one refers to him, she fleered up with anger. He is definitely the part of his life she hates to mention.

Yes your father did not cheat on me I did surprise she sat on the couch looking into her mother eyes. She listens to her story her eyes were wide open. She made several attempt to speak, but no word came out. All this years she was kept in darkness. She scrunched her eyebrow together; she took a deep breath to hear the truth

The truth

Three years, after I got married to your dad, he lost his job. Before then, your dad was a wealthy man he was envied by his friends and my friends also envied me. Your father cherished me so much. He never cheated on me.

We lived like king, I was a house wife at that time, and I knew I could do better as a business woman. My friend introduced me into a big dress selling business. Even though your father didnt consent with me, I went into that business. That marks the beginning of our failed marriage. I started travelling to Dubai to buy cloth and bags.

I travelled several times and then, I had a son who was just a year old, Magi the house help was always home with him. I took that advantage to. I was selfish not putting your fathers feeling first. I became a nagging wife that wanted to have her way. Money became my idol and I worshiped it with all passion.

Things went on vicious between us for years; I didnt want to get pregnant again. I was making lots of money and sometimes, I slept with the custom officers to have my seized goods realized.

After my business grows to its climax, your father lost his job. He became so depressed. in spite of not been ignorant of the suspicious business, he invested all his saving. I became the bread winner of the family. I suddenly became proud, arrogant and. I particularly made his life a hell.

Things got worse when my son fell ill, my husband was away for one of his interview, I didnt return from my business trip as I thought. The house help was gullible. She said she got the expired paracetamol she gave from my son from a racked chemist shop.

He died before I arrival from my journey. Despite all this trouble, my husband didnt stop loving me.

Later on, I notice I was pregnant, I did not want to put your father into the, but our family doctor called your dad, informed him of my intention to abort the baby. When he came home that evening, he confronted me; I picked up a big fight with him. I wanted to end the marriage but your dad wanted to keep it.

When I had you, your dad became happy. You both have the same smile. He had always told me he wanted a baby girl.

Months, I decided to venture into exporting of raw African foods to London. I knew your dad wouldnt support me so; I approach my friend to help me convince me.

I saw the look on your dad, that day, he stare like a lion waiting to devour me with curiosity. More furious with me, He screamed out on my friend, warned her not to see me again. He said she was a bad influence on me.

I also became angry with your dad. He had no job, his business had completely botched and I was the one supporting the family. I started provoking your father. Every step he took in the house I made a chance to create a big fight I wanted him to be the one to end the marriage.

Your father is a very aggressive man unable to control his anger, anytime we argue, I make sure it ensure into a fight. In as much as he tried to control himself, he still battle with it. He beats me giving me burs over my face. Sometimes, I end up at the hospital.

I felt this pain but I had to let him out of my life. The next morning, he would come to the hospital begging me, with profuse tears. My parents were angry with him they didnt at any time listen to his side of the story. But they love him and their reaction didnt help me. My parents wanted my marriage to work out as my husband feels.

When you became clock seven, the love between me and Mr. Richard had grown. He was your dads business partner, the same one who cheated your dad of his money.
I was at a trip in London when we met; he was not scared to approach me even when he knew he had cheated your dad.

My friends advised I date him. They assured me I wasnt going to regret any action.

I started dating him, saving all the money I had the opportunity to get from him.

He is spending me back the money he cheated my husbands money I thought every second I feel culpable. Time pass, then the guilty went off. Your father became suspicious but he had no idea whom I was dating

Your father got an emergency call one afternoon; he needed to travel to Kaduna. One of the companies he wrote out application called him for interview. I laughed, making mockery of him.

In that year he was invited to six different oral interviews but wasnt called up for any appointment.
Still, your father loved me; he was willing to keep the marriage.

For two days, I was home alone; I invited Mr. Richard to visit me. I ascertain him my husband had gone to Kaduna. He wasnt going to be back in two days.

That nigh was a night that my life became a nightmare. I had sent you to bed before your father arrived. I had no idea he was coming home that evening.
After you had gone to bed, Mr. Richard arrived our home. He came with lots of gift as promised.

We fell into the chair, he was over me we started kissing. We nuzzled over my breast when we felt the door opened. I had forgotten to lock it back the moment Richard entered. I saw the look on your dads face. He was disappointed and furious

Mr. Richard took his shirt, he ran outside the house. Your farther took out his belt and begin to beat me. He was furious and he continued to hit me. I fainted in the process. He rushed me to the nearest hospital. He became afraid I was going to die. When my parents visited, they were both mad at him . That was the end of the marriage. My parents threaten to sue him.

That was how your father left the house, the company he got appointment with, offered him a job in Canada. It was easy as he had a degree from the county.

I was miserable but I couldnt tell anyone the truth I am so sorry. I didnt know his reasons for not telling anyone.

Mr. Salami coughs clearing her throat after revealing the truth to her daughter. She has been hiding this for so long saying it makes her feel a sense of relieve. Bose sat on the couch staring at her mum in total disbelieve.

You did all this? And you lied to me... you are a wicked woman she accused her.

Im sorry I knew I... what I did ...was bad, evil but Im still your mother she came close try, to touch her.

How could you hid this from me all this years and you want me to forgive you I should not be here to listen to your advice... she stood up from the couch and made her way to leave.

Bose step back avoiding her mum from touching her

All because of you I was evil to my husband. I treated him badly. I was you you saw it but kept quiet...

Please... Listen to me... she tries to console her.

There is nothing to listen to I hate you! She yelled out, bursting threat of murder if her mother came closer. She became frustrated with high tension; she took her purse and stridently rushed out of the house.

She went straight into her car, starts the engine, then she zooms off ignoring her mother call.

chapter 3 CONTINUES

Three weeks have passed since she saw Fred. Kemi gradually begun to put out all the thought of Fred, which was rather not easy as she thought would be. She planned to engage herself in her work if possible, bury herself to her work than ever.

Going over to her two friends to apologize was a bravery step. Even though she said much words which cant to taken back.

She called both her friends on the phone making a conference call. She is so good at apologizing and it was easy for them to accept her apology. They have been friends from childhood and they promise to stick together, to be one anothers keeper.
Often times, they would have series of argument and this can elapse into rift. But then, they settle it in no time.
After she had apologized on the phone, she was still afraid to look her friends in the eyes at Yemis house.
I am sorry for putting my feeling before you too. She sincerely apologizes

Come on to err is human and to forgive is divine Becky quickly drop with an assuring look

Besides we both understand. Yemi assured her

Really! Kemi mutters looking at them both

Yes, we could have done the same you are a women with a good heart. Lara came closer giving the girls a friendship hug.

I thought I had lost you friendship... She sighed

That can never be. We stick together for life. Yemi warn snapping her thought.

Oh now that we are in the house lets celebrate our reunion.. Becky suggested with an express amusement

Hmmm well, I think... I still have a bottle of Champaign my Mugu brought me last night. Yemi proudly told her friends.

Uhh.. Yemostick you never seem to surprise me. Which Mugu again this time?

Kemi teasing her

You should know my sisters... the guy is in lust and girls I have to play along.

Come on let us forget this talk and celebrate. Becky interrupted with a speed of delight

Then, you should get three glasses and a bottle of Champaign from your latest Mugu.

Kemi swiftly told Yemi flushing a smile.
She rushes to the long-standing two-door fridge, opens it and reveals out a Bootle of

cold Mark Ross Champaign. She gets three wine glasses from the kitchen walk back to

the two friends in the living room.

Now here is the bottle of a delighted Champaign waiting to digest. She opens the cap and it went up with sound.
She pours the wine into the bottle, held out the glass of win to the girls.

So, whom do we toast to, Yemi asked looking specifically at kemi

We should toast to the future and three sisters love.

Hmmm sound interesting. Becky mumbles. The three ladies raises their cup up in the air.
To three sisters love and a bright future.

Two hours later, the girls were still on the conch. They have add a long talk most of

each includes relationships. The relationships that have failed and those they have managed to survive.

Honestly, Fred was the last person I thought could cheat on me. I could beat my life on him

You will find love I promise. Becky assured her with hope in his eyes

Love! It seems to me that true love doesnt exist.

If true love doesnt exist then it means there is no God

Then may be there is no God in my life.

Dont say that. We all know that love exist and we cant hid from falling in love no

matter How counts we are disappointed

Yemi who had silently watched them talk felt the need to contribute her idea

Do you think I will find true and sincere love?

Kemi turn aside to ask Yemi as she zip

the last cup of Champaign

Yes you will. We will all find true love.

Yemi knew on her part how much Kemi loves Fred judging from her emotional breakdown.

The worst thing she would get is to continue the affair. As a true friend, she could only advice he let go of him completely and waits for the best to come.

Three hours have passed; they are lying on the tied floor with the resting pillow on their head watching a TV reality show at the same time.

She had long thought she could let Fred completely out of his memories but every

time she closes her eyes it comes in flash of a picture.

This time, it came quickly. The very night she came across Fred in a party. It was Marks party. Lara first cousin boy friend and a friend to Kemi only but not to her other two close friend.

The usual ritual performance for bachelors a night before the weeding, she made her mind not to disappoint Lara who did not want to attend the party alone.

Not that she had much makeup on her, just a touch of make up. A light but attractive Makeup to catch any once attention. She wore a sexy red gown her mum got her for her last years Christmas . Her mum reminded her how she saw and eyed the gown the day they had both gone to Kelx galaxy boutique to pick up a bride wedding cloth for a friend. The gown had a nice fitting on her body. It brought out the nice curve.

The dance time was called up she was having a chat with another Lara when she

Notice with a side eye view the handsome young guy stealing a look at her. She obviously sense it not a spiteful look but an admirable one. In thought, telling her she Looks sexy and dateable.

She manages to ignore the look in as she feels completely like her a fish out of water.

Few minute later, she turns to see a figure she had earlier tried to ignore standing next to her, she didnt know weather to smile or get upset as it was sudden.

Hi? He said aiming a smile

Hmm. So finally, she replied looking at him to get all the detail in his head

Finally, what? I. he stammered with a finger over his mouth.

I could tell. I saw you over there stealing a look at me.

Hmmm. I must say I like your sense of humour

Its.. not funny Your look makes me unconformable Kemi enraged

You mean to say the way I was steering at you?

Are you in any way related to basket mouth? She asked looking into his hazy eye

I do look like his brother. right? Flushing a temping smile at her.

No, you sound more like his younger brother but in reverse

Then, I am a guy to be with.

uhh not exactly

Why am my so confident you like me. He told her feeling more relaxed.

Excuse me Mr she shrieked harshly feeling more irritated.

You look prettier when you are angry. He slots in a more soothing conversation

to easy the already tense atmosphere.

I like your smile and I like you. Im in love with you.

Oh just like that you just love a lady over a short inviting conversation?

Honest claim I suppose

I dont even know you

Well then, Im Fred he starch out his hand for a hand shack

Im Kemi she replied responding to the gestures

From then, they begin to talk. Having a long chat, this resulted in the exchange of

Numbers and later series of dates.

One thing surprises Kemi more and she hasnt been able to actually tell how tricky

Fred was. He has an apartment close to Lekki a well-furnished three-bed room duplex

with a massive compound fit for a rich bachelor of his type. They see often and Fred

wasnt one of those guys that have his cell phone password. He allowed her access to

his phone, laptop and most of the things going on in his life.

She sometimes feels all the worst incident of recent could be a nightmare probably,

She was dreaming and sooner she will wake up, and then realize she was married

to the good guy in Fred.
The same thing happen over again she woke up on the couch, she was right in Yemis

Living room with the TV still on and the movie ended

Six months has passed, Fred had constantly visited Kemi at the office but she gave a

Stern warning to her secretary not to give attention to Fred whenever he came around.

Just tell him I am in dispose. That was the instruction she told Chima.

He knew he hurt her so badly.

But he couldnt tell her he was married. He enjoys her comfort and her love, submission and humility. Not that he hate his wife, but he found what he wanted in his wife and stick to it.

Paul, his friend tried to talk him out of it but the more he tried to convince him, the worst the situation gets.

Kemi can never be yours. You are a married man bro. Paul sweetly assured him and tried his best to talk sense into Fred at the bar last weekend.
He will face it, Kemi had ignored him for long now, he must take the bull by the horn.

This afternoon, the secretary informed Fred as usual.

She is indispose
Did you always deliver my message? He asked with his voice trembling.

I always do he whispers. Just as these two were conserving

She appeared from the entrance of her office her face shown with shock and surprise

She was not expecting any visitor not even Fred at this time.

Hi Fred quickly mumbles under his breath as Kemi eyed him.

She ignores him and makes her way back to her office. Fred followed her calling her name

With a sound his hasty movement. The dark seated secretary stood up to block his way but it was rather too late.

Fred opened the door after Kemi and found his way toward her. She was already standing by the widow looking down the bottom of the office her flashing with anger

The office wasnt the same has he saw it six months ago. The furniture has been change, the walls repainted and the fragrance smells nicer this time.

Just like he reads in the foreign books, people change things in their life when things change. He presumes he was part of that change.

Kemi please just hear me out. He almost got to his knee pleading

What do you want you cheat? She glare with tears in her eyes

I know I hurt so deeply but I love you

Oh love, did you just say love. How can you talk about love? When you lack the first thing about love.
She yelled in anger moving away from the

Widow. She seems to be arranging the untied papers on her table but her attention

Completely out of it. She continued talking; avoid looking at Fred in the eyes

You are married.. You lied to me... I trusted you, gave you my love.

I know... but He made a step confused if touching her was a good idea

That it... you messed up with my body and my trust and you come back hoping I will dance to you musi.

I never said I was right all I need if for you to understand.

Understand what Mr playboy. You toss my heart like a coin and you feel that is forgivable? I am not a call girl neither am I a piece of meat meant for your feast

Its true I am married but for what is what it I am

Then go back to you wife... she yells . This is an office not a venue to explain your misdeed

She made her reason for Fred to leave. Freds eyes became red with pity. Tears filled
His eyes.

Oh god why is all this happening. For so long he suffered from his wife and now, his
Only happiness has turn into a nightmare.

He waited for long hoping Kemi will look at him but she completely gazed her eye on the ceiling. She turns aside. She wasnt willing to settle an score with him.
There was nothing to discuss. It is no point trying to give him chance. He belongs to someone else. She will only be a fool to build a castle in the air with him.
The memories they both share was thoughtful but not a one to hold on to.

Down at outside Kemis office, Fred felt frustrated in his car, he was much confused what to do at this moment. He left home for so long now, though he paid just three different occasional visits to his children spending a day with them and the two other occasion hours with them.

During those visit, his wife tried to be good. Fred wasnt in the mood to listen to her. He only still keeps her as his wife to save his children from any truism

He promised himself even as a little boy not to marry two women or divorce is wife but the worst wind of life his trying to change his plane.

The last visit he paid to his children. They were so much happy to see their father, they missed him so much and the daily constant question of when he was going to come back has nearly aggravated their mother. She tried lots of time that she didnt try her best to keep her promise of bring their dad home. But her effort has been fruitless.

Fred had a long missed chat with his children he is a good moon light storyteller. He tells his children stories from his head without having to sit and think. It will just come up the moment he sits to tell it to them

When he left home, his wife tried to feel that space but she wasnt such a good children story teller.

He got home this night, he was confused all day what he would do with his life. His life has been more complicated. Seeing his children, he knows will take away his sadness. He then decided it was time he went home not to see his wife but, to make up for the time he lost with his angels.

The moon was bright that night so, the night wasnt as dark as usual.

Bose was sitting in the dinner room busy with her apple laptop. She was engrossed with the proposal, which she has to submit in few days. She hasnt been able to concentrate more on it. Her husband absence gives her so much trouble .She never thought she would miss him this way.

For so long, the love she never thought she has for him has grown deeply and she is beginning to feel she cant do without him.

It was nearly 8 pm, Dammy and Clara had their dinner an hour ago, the were not much interested with the program me on carton network. They fight over the remote control on who should be in possession of it. Clara wants to watch nickelodeon while Dammy like to watch Disney channel. Sometime, the two never agree on one thing.

Bose struggle to concentrate and ignore both of them, but they were both calling her attention into it, asking her to intervene.

As the elder, Dammy always want to have her way just Clara wouldnt give her a bit of a chance.

Mummy calling out to Bose who was watching in anger deciding on what to do with the two.

They struggle with the remote control turning out the channel increasing, raising the volume of the channel.
Bose was a way yelling at them when the horn of a car, which drove into the beautiful elegant house, suspended all actions.

The girls rushes to the sliding widow, it was a big surprise indeed the one they were not expecting at all. For weeks, their questions have been to irate their mum and they too had try given up asking the same questions they will obviously not receive an answers to.

Fred drove in. the house he left for so long. Many people wonder why he often says he is going to his house and not he is going home. The car finally halts.

Dammy and Clara were already standing in front of his door. He gently opens it to avoid hitting either of his loving kids.
Daddy they both shouted out in joy waiting for him to lift them as usual.
Like they expected, he lifted them up one after the other, kissed them on their fore head.

We missed you so much daddy. They both chuckle
I missed you too. My little angels.

The gate man was standing behind the car quickly greeted his boss as he turn to open his boot.
Welcome oga We don miss u for here sir.
Thanks okoro I hope youve been doing fine.
he grim a smile.
Okoro would have missed his oga. though, he misses him a little. His salary that would have been a problem is always paid into his account immediately.

Daddy what did you buy for us?
Well daddy got you the best of the best. He opened his boot, the kids were happy to see two medium size box and two big hairy pink teddy bear.
He brought the teddy bear out and handed each to them. He gently, presses the stomach of each.
Muumuu. I love you and I love you... the sound of the teddy bears makes the girls giggle a smile.
Thanks daddy

From the widow, Bose watches all this display. She loved it.
How loving he is she thought to herself. Could he ever forgive her for all her wrong? Will things be right between them again she thought as she watches the gateman, his children and her husband coming into the house with the boxes smiling

She adjusted her cloth, and face. She trying to make herself look nice and presentable before the man he had less cared about.

Thank you okoro Please drop the box and leave. I will see you later.

You are welc..ome his Bose greeted trying to be homely with him.

Hi. He barely answered back.

Fred fiction what the night would be, from past happening, his wife could have jump at him the moment he appears from the door. She quizzes him with tons of questions and alleged him for seeing other women

Why was she nice this time, could this be one of her tricks
He imagine as he tries to open the box for his children to unload the clothes and other gift he got for them.

Can I get you something to eat? You must be tired. She whisper under her breath
Fred on his part became confused, he never for once had such dream of this good gesture flaunt at him by his haughty wife. and he believes he could never dream such. He pay no attention to her, offloading the gift in the box.
Often times, he came home like this, his wife would thwart him from sleeping in their room. He was prepared this night, not to make trouble with her.

What is happening? he ultimately blink up.

I am your wife and its my duty to do this?
You mean screw up our marriage.
Dont be paranoid. You may
Thanks for the gesture but I am fine. He swiftly interrupted her in a flare, ignoring the honest smile now over clouding her.

Bose I know you. I am no longer falling for your tricks. Arent you tired of making me miserable?

"I am trying to be nice here end here you are reading meaning into my action. She almost yells hiding her anger beneath her breath.

Bose knew within her how hard it will be to convince her husband that she had become a better person, He has not iota of her repentance which she was willingly to show. She struggle to fight the combat battle she passed through in the last five month. Her in-laws put her through a rough time. She couldnt blame them much. They are completely aware of the live she lives with her husband.
