How is that ever going to happen? Rafa at Juventus? Liverpool and Juventus are struggling, so u think the management at Juve would think of someone like Rafa to replace their manager who is also struggling just like Rafa? It will never happen . Rafa just signed a new 5 yr contract. and we cant get Hiddink, Roman Abramovich will never allow that. Also, dont you all think it is time to Rafa to show more flexibility and ''release'' the players just like we did the last 12 games of last season. when we destroyed Man utd, madrid, fulham and aston villa. i mean we have nothing to lose , why not go all out against teams and worryless about conceding goals. |
@ Ossai famous & arkinses , well done guys, but u should post more often on the liverpool fan thread. that thread is dying. @ topic, I agree with Ossai famous, Wolves could be tricky. they are having a bad run, but we have not been too good either . so i expect them to try to improve on us. Torress not playing is also a major concern. Torress would surely score against Wolves if he played. Strikers like Kuyt may miss 3 sitters before scoring. And with N'gog, u will never know what he will do. I'm hoping to see Maxi too. Riera should start too, he had an execellent game vs Spurs. If the wingers can do their job extensively,we'll have a good chance of winning. WALK ON!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Igbo man ho claim anything. Israel, America, Egypt and now Haiti. seriously, u guys are very deluded. |
this thread is dying, even the Sevilla and Man City threads have more traffic. Anyway, I hope we can compliment the last win with at Wolves. |
no, i dont follow Talib Kweli on twitter. I just got the link from a blog. are u feeling the song? |
Listen to it. what do u think? I think NaS is not finished after all. But I was more impressed with Damian. I hope the whole album feels like this. http://usershare.net/YouHeardThatNew/w91eqm0u17no |
I now hate Spurs, officially. |
@maedan, So u support L'pool becos of Gerrard? Gerrard is fast getting old. so if he retires in the next few years, where would u go? But Gerrard is going no where. be assured. RuuDie:we hope so. |
Gerrard will never leave. All those rumours you read about joining Inter and Madrid are just ridiculous. |
the boys were great against Spurs. Aquilani was my MOTM. Degen ,Kygiarkos, Riera and Maxi impressed. Lucas was also big! no gerrard, no torress , no johnson . can we continue like this? |
it was very nice gettin revenge. |
can RAFA forget 19million and just get the fucck out ?!!!!!! ''thank u, thank u. Istanbul , the fa cup and the rest. but IT IS TIME TO GO!!!''. this is becoming embarrassing. i had a very busy 2 weeks, so once i just went through our results(Reading and Stoke) and it felt like extra weight. our silly players need a new hammer( manager) to set them straight. but at the same time, i still feel for Rafa. seems like the players are out to make a him look like a jackass. |
Eddie Griffin!! the dude can make a corpse laugh. |
Voronin and Dossena out. But no one coming in yet. OK, we should start at Stoke City then. have u all heard that Hicks resigned? |
I'm quite sure we can mount a strong challenge this season. but we would have to start at Spurs. W A L K ON!! |
looks like we are going to sign Maxi Rodriguez on loan. @jairzinho, the new shirt deal will surely come with more money. but it will be strange at first without carlsberg. |
Nistelrooy? i am honestly undecided about that. but here is what we 'd look like next season. maybe carlsberg came with a curse. http://www.lfconline.com/news/tmnw/next_seasons_liverpool_kits_revealed_480205/index.shtml. |
truly the team was disappointing today. we fielded a strong team but still couldn't beat championship Reading. Going by Rafa's post-match comments, i think the man lacks confidence in the team and himself. this might just spur us to victory against Tottenham. |
happy new year!! |
@illusion2, it is down to the boys to win, lose or draw. of course I agree Rafa should also play a part with his managerial abilities. lets just hope he gets his tactics right. but , I dont think we can win tonight. for us to win, Stevie G and El Nino must have a massive game. @A40, we might just feel the backlash. i just hope the Arsenal defeat of Villa will mark the begining of Villa's slump. whether we can take advantage is another question entirely. |
Honestly, if we keep playing like we have done since our slump, Villa and later Spurs will rip us apart. we only scored after Wolves lost a man. |
@illusion2, i kind of believe if Rafa leaves things will get better. but Rafa should not take all the blame , as a matter of fact he should not take most of it. this a season that so far, Lucas , the traditional scape goat has been better than Gerrard. our senior players have simply not stepped up , esp Gerrard and Carragher. these two along with Mascherano started the season very poorly. Mascherano has definately returned to form but those two are still sleeping. if our key players can get back to form , things will get better. |
Now Aquilani is looking like a bad signing. I hope we walk through this storm. |
As much I like and respect Rafa, i seriously think his time is up. I am very sure a large part of the kop also feel the same way. i wish him luck in Spain or Italy or wherever he ends up. the players should take some blame too. Gerrard and Carragher have been woeful . Now, our two stupid owners need to forget the beef btw them and make this much needed decision. |
Rafa should have some ballz to resign now or at the end of the season. when managers resign, they usually get more respect and I think he deserves some. 4 trophies and 6 final appearances in 4 yrs is not bad at all. next year, we would have new shirt sponsors - Standard Chartered. Maybe Carlsberg was the problem. and we should better have a new manager and new owners as well. YNWA. |
2: 1 win over Wigan. this and the next match at Portsmouth are good oppurnities for us to gather points. ynwa! |
yes my team sucks , i know that. we can beat Wigan, i hope burnley brings u back to earth. |
can Rafa get us out of this mess? I'm starting to have serious doubts. i think he should make some difficult decisions. like benching Kuyt. Dossena, Degen and Pacheco should be giving chances especially Pacheco. lets remember Gerrard broke into the 1st team in a time of crisis too. and even if we beat Wigan on wednesday, it will still not cure me of the disappointment of Sunday. @A40, u dont have to agree that Liverpool have been better in recent times. u guys always think u can console urselfs by laughing at liverpool, but the fact is we are all in the same boat. Arsenal might just not win the title for the next ten years and i hope that happens. Fucck ARSENAL AS A FOOTBALL CLUB AND AS A FAN BASE! i actually feel better now. |
In the the last 5 seasons, we have finished above u at least 4 times. so what are u talking about? the season is not over yet. remember that. So u nicked us at home and u think u've won the league already? u should know better. u have a weak team right now. i can list out at least 9 teams that would've taken u out yesterday. the liverpool team just bleeped up. u are in the UCL second round, So what ? that team will not go far. Ac milan, inter and bayern munich are waiting for y'all just like i said the other time., ur motto is : LAUGH NOW, CRY LATER. ur sexy football wont take u any where. it will only get ur B.p by giving u unneccesary a hard-ons. and pls , let the kop worry about the kop especially if u aren't one of the kop! |
i think Rafa should start trying new things. Gerrard has been very far from his best all season. and thats one of the main reasons we are failing. he has so far failed to inspire confidence in the team. this was an ARSENAL team we were better than, they are the weakest team in the big 4, and with the major injuries they had, we still foolishly allow them time after time to shiit on our heads?!! I was so disappointed it was like we lost to Dundee United. i think we are more balanced playing against big teams without Stevie Gerrard. we can't keep blaming rafa all the time. Gerrard should get the blame too. he seems so lazy these days. rafa shouldn't take most of the blame because he fielded the strongest team to face Arsenal. the players just needed to rise up and take it. But instead the just played the 2nd half without resilience and confidence which are the basic things we have lacked so far. Rafa must be doubting himself right now. I am begining to have my doubts as well . Gerrard should be played in the midfield with Mascherano. Aquilani should try playing behind Torres. |
Considering Arsenal's injury list, it will be a huge disappointment if we liverpool dont get 3 points. |
as a matter of fact , we have quite a number of promising youngsters coming up. Insua was given few chances last season , and he took every chance and he is now a regular. Pacheco was very OK against florentina, but would u play him instead of kuyt. Ecclestone, Pleissis ,Kelly, Darby, Ayala and San Jose all look promising but it takes time to get there. N gog has been getting goals too, what the likes of Voronin. he even has more goals than Micheal Owen right now. illusion2:i still disagree that Rafa has damaged the club. i think he has done us some improvement. liverpool were great in the 70s and 80s. in the 90s we just fell off. we might not be in the limelight like we were in the 70s and 80s but we are getting there thanks to Rafa. this is what the other managers- Souness, Evans ,Houlier struggled to do. |
