No Sauron, Aquilani is actually more attacking compared to Alonso and that also worries me becos Mascherano might be left alone to do defensive midfield job when Aquilani becomes fit. Alonso was our playmaker but he was also a defensive midfielder. I'm not sure how defensive Aquilani would be.

Chelsea had better goal scoring opportunities, other than that it was an even game and we controlled the midfield. Reina was great and was more threatened all day compared to Hilario.

Riera was the poorest player on the pitch. I'm hoping he sits on the bench for 2 weeks or more. Its time to give Babel more chances, its the world cup year, and every player wants to be there so that should be extra motivation. Benayoun was also impressive when he came on. my only disappointment was that we lost 3 points,our team was okay.

I just hope Aquilani can return soon enough before we face the scummies.

Chelsea took their chances, and I think they were the better side.

but we also improved from our previous games. the defence was clearly better .

No offense to Lucas ,he has really improved but he needs to be more creative, he needs to create more assists. he needs to play more like Alonso.

Chelsea are another strong team we should beat.  this should put any doubts on title hopes to bed.

Torress over Divin' Drogba. the only advantage Drogba has over Torress is physical strength.

Torress over Villa too!

I'm anxiously anticipating tommorow's match. Hope our biggest players step up, and if they are marked out, the other players should take advantage.

Losing to Fiorentina is not a new thing, every team can struggle. Rafa must have got it wrong in terms of tactics but some of the players did not do well too.

Honestly, I wanted this kind of result becos I feel the Chelsea game will be more important. A loss or a disappointing draw at Florence will make us stronger against Chelsea.  But we missed Mascherano last night.

I just heard we'd be missing Benny and Masch. but we will come through all the same.

Our team showed determination, they just didn't have the ability.

also, Siasia has nothing to prove, he has already proven himself as the best coach in nigeria.

I'm strangely confident of beating Chelsea on Sunday. But a game at a time lads. Fiorentina is next; thank goodness Gilardino is suspended for this one and Mutu hasn't been playing well lately.

Hopefully Kuyt gets rested for Chelsea with Babel or Yossi starting on the right. I think Aurelio will start on the left as Riera has played 180 mins in the last 6 days. Agger won't play as it's confirmed he'll return to the team on Tuesday night against Manchester City reserves (Can't wait to have him fully fit ).

P:S- I hope Drogba damages certain ligaments against Apoel too!
