Emmanuel Eghaghe a 27-year-old man, is on the run after he beat his mother to death for allegedly refusing to give him a sum of N20,000 after he visited the 61-year-old woman at her shop on Jinadu Street, Ajangbadi, Lagos State, on July 6, 2018.

According to reports Emmanuel told her mother, Helen, that he needed the sum for pocket money.

He reportedly resorted to violence when the elderly woman said she could not afford the amount, slamming her head on the wall while he was struggling to get the money by force.

She was said to have sustained an injury in the head. While blood gushed out of her head, Emmanuel fled the scene.

A resident, who pleaded anonymous said:
“The sister of the suspect has a hotel in the community. He gave their mother a room in the hotel. She also opened a shop for the woman in front of the hotel. On that day, the suspect approached his mother and asked her to give him N20,000 pocket money.

“The woman said she did not have that kind of money. He pushed her to the wall and broke her head in the process.

There were bloodstains everywhere and the woman eventually died in a hospital. He ran away immediately and has yet to be found. His sister was abroad and she was planning to relocate him there. A resident informed the woman’s brother and he travelled to Lagos from Benin. I was surprised why a child would do such a cruel thing to his mother.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, confirmed the incident, noting that the command had launched a manhunt for the suspect.

The Borno state Police command has arrested 8 persons suspected to have taken part in the April 14, 2014, kidnap of the 276 Chibok schoolgirls in Maiduguri, the state Capital.

The eight suspected Boko Haram terrorists who are among 22 persons paraded, were said to have been arrested by operatives of the Inspector General’s Intelligence Response Team (IGP’s IRT) in Borno, Adamawa and other adjoining communities.

The suspects are alleged to have masterminded over 50 suicide bomb attacks within Maiduguri and Adamawa.

They (suspects) also launched several other attacks leading to the death of thousands of Nigerians.

The Police in India has arrested a Nigerian woman named David Blessing, after she caught with LSD blots and cocaine in her private parts..

The Kolkata unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Kolkata, India intercepted the 30yr old when she landed in Kolkata from Mumbai at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at around 9.20 PM on Monday.

Confirming the news NCB Kolkata Zonal Head Dilip Kumar Srivastava said:
We had prior information about the lady and accordingly planned our arrest operation. Last night our officers got a lead that she was arriving from Mumbai-Kolkata Jet Airways flight. We rushed there and intercepted her.

During the search, our lady officers found only 20 LSD blots from her bag. But later she took out 12 grams of Cocaine from her private parts.
She was having pain in her lower abdomen and revealed that more contraband substances were concealed inside her vagina. We immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital where her trans-vaginal USG report confirmed our hunch.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Blessing was staying in Mumbai for the last two years on business visa and the consignment seized from her possession was meant for a person in Kolkata.

“We have a few more leads and we will interrogate her once she will be released from the hospital. It seems that she is a part of international drug racket,” Srivastava said.

Nollywood Actor Jim Iyke has revealed the reason why he hasn't been seen in recent Movies, And according to him, its because they can no longer afford him.

Vincent Uche Mbanefo a fresh student at the Anambra State University, Igbariam has died, after been struck by lighting in Achalla,.

Eyewitness says Uche who's a student of Agricultural Extension was killed in his room after the lighting struck during a heavy rainfall..

He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

His heartbroken parents later conveyed the corpse for burial in their village in Aguleri.
