The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has arrested six suspected internet fraudsters also known as ‘yahoo yahoo boys’.

The suspected fraudsters were said to have been picked up in one of their hideouts, Kubwa area, Abuja.

The suspects are Ihoeghian Aghasomwan, Precious Osarumen, Enabulele Osazee Frank, Osahon Scott, Efe Ehieorobo and Peter James.

According to Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC spokesman, the operation was carried out on Friday, May 11 by the advance fee fraud section of the commission following an intelligence report on the activities of the suspected fraudsters.

“Surveillance was carried out and the identity and location of the fraudsters who specialize in defrauding innocent citizens both within and outside the country through internet was identified,” Uwujaren said.

“On arrest, some of [the] items recovered from the suspects include – one Toyota Camry 2009, 10 laptop computers, 4 ECOWAS International passports, 17 mobile phones, 2 flash drive, HP printer and Certificate of Award of Asian Professional Security Association in favour of Sun Yaje.

“Also recovered was a travelling bag and air piece check-in bag suggesting Abuja as its destination dated March 19, 2018 labelled with two paper clearance certificate of Custom Controlling Department, International Affairs China, No: 00548 and TDK courier service worldwide express service shipment details with track No: ME103178131.”

The EFCC said the suspects will be charged to court as soon as its investigation is concluded.

A five-year marriage between a 35-year-old trader, Bilikisu Azeez and her husband, Olusesi, was on Friday dissolved by an Igando Customary Court in Lagos on the grounds of sex-starvation. Bilikisu had told the court that her husband, Olusesi, starved her of sex for more than two years, a development which, she said, had affected her health.

“My husband has been starving me of sex since he married his youngest wife; he has turned me to an abandoned property.

“I have been falling sick in and out of the hospital, during my last visit to the hospital, I was told that it was because I have not had sex for long that is why I experience frequent sickness.”

According to The nation she also accused her husband of not caring for her and the only child of the marriage, saying “my husband does not take care of me, I feed and clothe myself.



“He refused to enroll our only child, who is over four years old in school and has failed to pay his medical bills; I always run to my mother for the hospital bill.”

Bilikisu, who also accused her husband of battery, said he had beaten her publicly which resulted in her fainting.



According to her, the trouble started when her husband brought in a third wife.



She continued:

“There was joy, love, and peace in the house until he came with another wife, who has been fighting me also.”

She urged the court to dissolve the union so that she can move on with her life.

Olusesi, in his response to the allegations, accepted that he starved the woman of sex.



“She once denied me of sex and since then I abandoned her.

“Yes, I starved her of sex, it is tit for that because there was a day I entered her room to sleep with her and she left the bed to sleep on the floor.

“I made an attempt eight times to sleep with her, but she refused. So since that day, I just put her aside after all she is not the only wife I have,” he told the court.



The 45-year-old building contractor also consented to the dissolution of the marriage, saying he too was no longer interested in the marriage.



The court president, Mr. Akin Akinniyi, while delivering the judgment said that it appeared that the estranged couple was tired of the marriage as all efforts to reconcile them had failed.

“Since both parties consented to the dissolution of their marriage, this court has no choice than to dissolve the marriage.

“The court hereby pronounces the marriage between Mrs. Bilikisu Azeez and Mr. Olusesi Azeez dissolved today.

“Both of you henceforth cease to be husband and wife, each of you should go on his or her separate ways unmolested.

“The court wishes both of you well in your future endeavour. Any squabble between both of you from now on shall be treated as criminal.

“Any violation of this judgment will be regarded as contempt of court and will attract imprisonment without an option of fine,” Akinniyi ruled.

Nigerian Writer Ozzy Etomi is of the View that as a Responsible Husband that you are or will be, It is only right that you pay your wife for staying at home, If not for anything, for the fact that she takes care of the children, According to her if you want to be a good husband, you must pay your stay at home wife, Because the job she puts in is equivalent to the work you do, Her words not mine. Quite a lengthy post, but it worth it, read below!



''Husband is away, Nanny had an emergency, had to work from home today while handling an extremely precocious 10 month old. I’d pick going to work over staying in with a baby/toddler all day. Stay at home mom’s dont get enough appreciation, admiration or respect. PAY YOUR WIVES.



I truly believe stay at home mothers should earn a salary, paid by their husbands. I dont want to start another twitter war, so instead I will write an article about this because I can ignore medium comments I also believe they should insist on pension payments.



Why? Because more often than not, the exchange that is meant to be occurring is that husbands are “working for the family”, while the woman is manning the domestic/childcare homefront. But the reality, especially in Africa is that husbands are working for themselves.



Wives hardly ever have unmonitored & unrestricted access to the man’s earnings. A lot of us get to enjoy the “trappings” without actually being in control of any considerable assets. You enjoy benevolent gifts & ppl say “you’re lucky your husband is generous”.



But in truth it is not generosity. It is YOUR money too. That is the agreement. The wealth gap never closes because as husbands get richer, wives do not get richer. Stay at home wives do not get their monthly share of their husbands salary as theirs to keep/ save/ invest.



A lot of women with wealthy husbands get tickets bought, houses to stay in, clothes & expensive gifts, and “spending money”. But most times do not have 2 cents to rub together without their husbands despite working together to build up the family for years. It is HIS money.



Thennnnn after years of being married, that nigga dies and lives everything to the kids. And then the cycle starts over with your children handing you pocket money. I’ve already said too much. Men, pay your wives sha. Build up her wealth too. Let her have a retirement plan.



It’s not a curse to stay home and take care of kids, women shouldn’t have to suffer for it.



When she does that, she is still using many considerable skills to keep the home organized, the house finances straight, making sure the kids are good, keeping staff in line, etc. She is doing a LOT OF WORK which is essentially unpaid labor.



You on the other hand are doing a lot of work which you are freed up to do because you dont have to worry about your home or your kids. When you bring home your share aka the finances. It is for you & your wife & kids. Not yours to mete out as you see fit.



Your wife, being someone who is at home, is not EARNING AN INCOME. Therefore if youre income isnt shared fairly with her, she is essentially living a life of poverty only offset by your ‘generosity’ and those are the men who even bother giving their wives an ‘allowance’.



In a good % of this situation, women make money off skimming off the top of household expenses they have to inflate just to get extra money. Which is why when couples break up after years of marriage, or when a man dies, their wives can barely afford to take care of the kids.



Your wife deserves her fair share of your salary. Choosing to focus on the home/kids shouldn’t result in financial exclusion for women as it often does. Suggest to me then other ways in which a full time stay at home mother can grow wealth, have investments and savings?



I have seen too often in many ppls situations how the household budget doesn’t include the wife. Everyone gets taken into consideration except her. There is money for kids. Money for feeding. Money for house expenses. Staff gets paid.



But the woman is doing/supervising the cooking, shopping, managing, organizing, caring, etc, working herself to the bone exhausted every day for FREE, and the general sentiment is “what do you need YOUR own separate money for, everything is paid for” like she isn’t her own person



Man, whatever, examine the lives of many couples around you and you know what i’m saying is true. Men spend the family money whenever and however they please with little or no permission. “Oh i feel like a new watch”..BAM!



But you see women strategizing how best to ask/request money for their husbands especially when it is something that is simply for them and not tied to household or kids. Thesis & speeches justifying the spend. Its such a scam.
