You guys are a funny bunch of people.....
One minute you are shouting we should leave Tinubu alone because he never said he is contesting....
The other minute you are praising him because an expired political is just giving his own personal opinion on who he prefers to be the next president.....
One thing you should know is that if the North keeps choosing the kind of leaders we should have, this country will never move forward.....
Tinubu will just be another Buhari
I think your people need your admonition more than me,they are the ones singing it in our ears everyday that Tinubu or any Yoruba man will never be president come 2023.

Don't mind these nitwits, mainly Igbos, who never engage their brain that is too soaked with emotion and hate to function properly. Kingibe is 74 now. In 2023 he will be near 80. We are to believe he will be more attractive than the likes of APC stalwart El Rufai even if Buhari has settled on a Northerner?

All these bloggers, journalists and analysts just throw scandalous and outrageous issues out there to retain popularity because they know controversy sells. Right-thinking minds however know their talk is disjointed and lacking factual sense but they know many Nigerians, short of the ability to think critically, will still discuss their ludicrous claims.

Buhari will gamble on Kingibe, out of government for ages and with no traction or visibility like EL Rufai et al, to risk his legacy being ruined with an APC loss while he ends up like Dasuki under a PDP President in his old age? Easy to yank the chain of some Nigerians sha. Hate of others will never let them reason properly . Kingibe ko Shehu Shagari ni.
They cry everyday about the age of Buhari and now they want thesame old Buhari to hand over to another man that would be close to 80yrs by 2023, how can any inteligent person be on thesame page with such senseless people? Sometimes I even think some of them claiming to be Igbos online are impostors because people from that tribe I've had dealings with in the physical are not this uninteligent.

SW 2023 is a done deal!

Before the Nass election you people were saying Buhari would never support a Yoruba at the expense of a Northern,in your very eyes and to your shame Gbajabiamila clinched the position.
As Buhari, El rufai and other Norhthern politicians worked for the emergence of Gbajabiamila, same way they'll all work together for the presidency to return to SW in 2023.

Lol. What this man said is what I have learnt in 3 Northern states.

These guys don't give a shit about equity.

It is not like they love Yoruba but they know we are the only ones that can go toe to toe with them.

But as long as Yorubas don't insist on Igbo getting the Seat...it would NEVER happen.

Hausa see them useful only for....prostitution.

Sad but true... i laugh my eyes out when i see SE boys supporting Atiku. Even if he had entered, it would have been a couple of months before ousting Obi.
In Nigeria politics of today, the SE is the rejected region but people from their are too blind to see this.
Regarding the last election, Some of them are still hopefull Atiku would reclaim the mandate Nigeria never gave him. And this statement from Junaid, who is the unofficial mouthpiece of the average northern power mongering politician is like a pierce in their hearts, all they want to hear from people like Junaid to Tinubu/Yoruba is insult.

Igbo youths should not find this statement offensive because when this same man insulted Tinubu and his tribe most of you hailed him while taunting Tinubu and yoruba at thesame time.
Funny they no longer taunt Tinubu with used and dumped statement again, they now call him greedy.
That means reality is begining to dawn on them that SW 2023 is a done deal.

What do you mean by "who is the government"? The government are elected entities, and has nothing to do with indigenship. You're making it sound like being an indigene accords you some extra rights. It doesn't. Yorubas have the highest population in Lagos which means leaders are more likely to be Lagosians. It's a simple game of numbers. Non-indigenes also tend to be apathetic to politics which gives you the illusion that you have some birthright accorded by indigenship. The reality is in several enclaves in Lagos dominated by non-indigenes, if we really wanted to mobilize votes for non-Yoruba politicians, there wouldn't be a thing you can do about it other than engaging in savage violence. And to be honest, you're not nearly as scary as our Northern brethren.

And provide your evidence that Igbos pay more land use charge than Yorubas. grin
People whose ancestors discovered and first settled down at a place are always incharge of the affairs of the place,by royalty or democratic. There can only be Exemption if they lose the control of their teritory to enemies through war or carelesness. From the days of our ancestors Indigenes were always suspicious of outsiders and always put them under scrutiny inorder to avoid losing power to them or to stop them from becoming more stronger. Pharaoh did it to the ancient israelites. Hitler did it. And it's still common in this generation. The blackman doesn't benefit thesame previlege as the white man in his country. Before you can work in UK as a Nigerian you'll need to get work permit from its govt. Mutiu Adepoju mised the chance of playing for Madrid first team because of the policy of the spanish govt.
This is how it's all over the world, you don't expect the Yorubas to allow what isn't tolerated anywhere in the world in the name of being civil. The message is simple, work but don't medle with our politics.
We have answers to whatever game you may come up with now or in the future, there are truely areas in lagos we have more Ibos than Yorubas but we can neutralise your numbers in such places by constructing verry high buildings and migrating Yorubas there.

Obi1kenobi:

Whether you are outside your region or inside your region, all land is leased by Nigeria's land tenure system. It belongs to the government, not to any "indigenes" (whatever that means). So the emboldened is a rather pointless comment. Yoruba people pay land use charge, just like Igbo people pay land use charge. Your claimed indigenship earns you no special policy privileges.

And nobody is "meddling" in your politics. People exercise their constitutional rights to vote and be voted for wherever they are. You're free to use your superior numbers to defeat the aspirations of non-indigenes, but no one owes you any obligation to disenfranchise themselves. As I said earlier, many of you love to arrogate phony political sophistication to yourselves, but end up expressing the most regressive, primitive mindsets that make absolutely no sense.
You claim land belongs to the govt and not indegenes, and I ask who is the govt?
It's thesame thing to say the land belongs to Indegenes or govt. Afterall, who are the people behind or expected to be behind the govt if not the indegenes. So if land belongs to govt as you alude to,it's safe to say it belongs to the indegenes. Abi Aliens or Angels are the govt?
About the payment of land use charge,it shouldn't come as a surprise to you that Ibos and Yorubas are not paying equal amount in lagos, this is one the ways to afirm ownership.

I'll be back...

where u guys saying this last 20yrs Ago or 50yrs ago. Even the whole Kirikiri was owned by Ibru family. Lekki and VI was CO owned by industrialist which are no yoroubas, all of a sudden since Tinubu leadership began this call for yoroubas to claim Lagos began. Same gave way for consciousness of migrant in Lagos to also have their say. Before nobody was complaining . Have u seen any southerners contest election in Ogun state . Lagos still remains the only state that has equal number of tribe in Nigeria settled inside. Any call to deny any Nigerian their right in Lagos will meet stiff resistance till Nigeria divides.

Hausa is coming, their population doubled in the last 4yrs and will triple in another 4. They are not coming with economic expansion but military and religion expansion..wait for it ..nxt 10yrs u and I will see what we have done to our selves
When you are outside your region, land can only be leased and not sold to you in the real sense. So every land you think you've bought still belongs to the indigenes/govt, this is why you still pay land use charge annually.
About the tension between yorubas and outsiders,it didn't start with Tinubu,it predates him, it used to be the Edo people at the centre of the tension before it shifted to SE folks. I can bet it that no ethnic group in Nigeria can relegate yorubas in lagos politics in the next 100yrs,even if you all join force to challenge us,we'll still come out on top. We know the result of allowing you to medle in our politics, this is why we are trying to stop it for the betterment of everybody.

South is South.. North is North . As far South is concerned we all have equal priveledge here same way a Northern cannot cross boundary to Southern to do anything so we here in the South cant do such to them. But South West think they are the annointed people of the South.
We are all surviving here in the South same way the Notherners are facing the own demon .

Stop thinking that any property acquired by any southerners in the South West will be lost over night. If fight breaks Out in Southern Nigeria, Notherners will not interverne, same way we can't interverne with same happening in Kaduna, Benue.

And for your notice, take away an igbo man source of survival, you will see he is not different from a Babaric Hausa man.
Even Imo indigenes residing and working in Anambra are not enjoying equal bnenefit wih the indegenes, same thing with your people living in SS,especially PH.
Sons of the soil dictate things and setlers have to cooperate to avoid confrontation. It's ilogocal to say every southerner from another region should benefit equally with yorubas in SW,this happenes no where all over the world. You can do your business and thrive as much as you desire in lagos, but stay away from lagos politics.

some of you are just deluded. Even when no Yoruba man is living there you will still want to nominate someone from Bourdillion to speak for them. That place is 75% igbos dominated. And I don't see any bad thing if they vote in an igbo to be their speaker. That's survival ...stop fighting with hate. Even haausa do come out for post in area dominated by them in enugu and Ebonyi. If they have the numbers to win let them win. Politics is about numbers and not about who are indigines of the land. Even Apc gave igbos ticket .
Let me state this, Ajeromi is not 75% Ibos as you eroneously put up there,it's one of the local govt Ibos populated by at least 95%.
Ibos people are every where in the North as much as you are in SW , yet you dare not drag political posts with the hausas in their land because you know the consequences of doing such.
Why do you think Ibos always run away from the North during election period and return to continue doing busines after the hausas might have apointed the candidate of their choice?
What you people can't do in North ,you do it here and get away with it. With your number in the North, you can't influence their politics but in SW you think you deserve equal previlege with yorubas. There are areas in lagos that the hausas are more than the yorubas yet they know there boundary, they never drag anything with us. It's time to let you people know you are crossing the red line.

For us patriotic Nigerians, we will never allow thief Tinubu near our national treasury.

North West 2023 remains sacrosanct.
Since yesterday you have been all over the place typing 4+4+4.
I can feel your pain over the lose of Atiku because you and your kinsmen spent too much time on the social media, voluntarily working for Atiku, only for your expectation to be dashed. What a pity!
As your efforts on the social media couldn't help Atiku to become the president, same way your efforts here won't be enough to stop SW presidency after Buhari.
It's a done deal. Think verry well before you embark on another hate and envy inspired assignment that'll result in futility like the one you did for Jonathan and Atiku. My advice for you is to desist from fighting lost battle. Whether you and your people like it or not a yoruba man will take over from Buhari.

Reno omokri has also indirectly congratulated the president.
Economist is also doing same. More opposition politicians would surely do same in the coming days.
But some people may say over their dead body would they congratulate the president, such people don't know that ability to move on and accept things as they unfold in life is one of the major ways to be happy in life.

How can you live the next for years of your life feeling bitter and sad everyday about what you can't change?

I can't just imagine how that can be posible. The North is often given the power it doesn't posses. By 2023 the presidency would return to the South, and an Igbo or Yoruba would emerge as president. Pls stop taking seriously everything you read or see on the social media.

OP and any one asking this same question should remember that Aso rock is the place one would have expected Buhari to have a free ride, surprisingly he lost all the polling Units there to Atiku.
If you can explain the reason(s) the president lost aso rock polling Units to Atiku, you have the right to demand why Buhari did not perform as expected in SW. If you can't provide answer to that you have no reason asking SW APC leaders any question.
SW APC bigwigs and leaders gave their all for Buhari, that's why he got majority of the votes in the region. If you like you can say he got slight votes ahead of Atiku, that doesn't change the fact that he won Atiku in the region.
