I must admit that this is a very complicated topic with a long history, but your argument contains a number of misleading claims and omissions.

I will break it down. First is the history and ownership of the land.

The land we’re talking about, what is now Israel and/or Palestine, has been home to many different people for thousands of years, including Canaanites, Hebrews, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, and Ottomans. Nations and borders change over time, but one thing remains true: people who have lived in a place for generations naturally see it as their homeland.

You can argue that Jews have the strongest claim to the land because of ancient history. But the same logic applies to the Palestinians, who have lived there continuously for centuries. Saying that Palestinians are not a “real people” ignores the fact that national identities evolve. By that logic, Israelis didn’t exist before 1948 either, since “Israelis” as a nationality is a modern concept.

Secondly, you mentioned about the Nakba. In 1947, the United Nations proposed a partition plan, giving 56% of the land to Jewish settlers, even though they made up only about 33% of the population. Palestinians rejected it, not because they hated Jews, but because it felt unfair. Imagine if a foreign power came and handed over half of Southern Nigeria to Fulani herders to prevent farmers-herders comflict, just because these herders claim that southern Nigeria has always been part of their grazing route. you’d probably be upset too.

Then came the 1948 war, during which 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced from their homes. This event, known as the Nakba ("catastrophe", was not just a case of "losing a war". Zionist militias carried out massacres and destroyed villages to ensure that these refugees could never return. This isn’t speculation; Israeli historians, including Benny Morris and Ilan Pappé, have documented it extensively.

Furthermore, losing land in War doesn’t Justify OPPRESSION. Some people argue that when you lose a war, you lose land- end of story. But international law doesn’t work that way. If it did, should Germany still be under Allied control after WWII? Should colonial empires still exist? The UN and international courts have repeatedly ruled that land cannot be taken through war.

Yet, Israel has continued to expand, settling Jewish citizens in Palestinian territories in violation of UN Resolution 242. These aren’t just empty lands, people already lived there, and now they are being forced out.

Now to the crux of the discussion- the reality of Gaza and the West Bank.
Many say, “Why don’t Palestinians build Gaza into something great?” The truth is, they can’t, because Israel has enforced a strict blockade since 2005, controlling everything that enters or leaves- including food, medicine, and electricity. Gaza’s economy can’t grow when its borders are sealed.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Palestinians live under military occupation, while Israeli settlers live under Israeli civil law. That means two people, living in the same land, have completely different rights based on ethnicity. If that’s not APATHEID, what is?

This is my own personal opinion. Shouldn’t Jews, of All People, Understand This?
Jewish people have suffered immense persecution throughout history, especially in the Holocaust. That’s why it’s heartbreaking to see Israel engaging in policies that look very similar to what was once done to them- forced displacement, segregation, and collective punishment.

This isn’t about denying Israel’s right to exist. It’s about recognizing that Palestinians also have a right to live with dignity and freedom in their homeland.

If we condemned apartheid in South Africa, how can we turn a blind eye to it in Palestine?

Finally, this conflict isn’t just about history, it’s about what’s happening right now. If we truly care about justice, we should be advocating for equal rights for both Jews and Palestinians. It’s not about choosing a side; it’s about choosing fairness.

So, let’s ask ourselves: Do we support Palestinians having the same rights and freedoms as Israelis? If not, why?

Firstly the talk of apartheid does not come up in the case of West bank because apartheid is supposed to be racial segregation of people in same country.palestinians in the West bank are not citizens of Israel and they have their own government in the PA,both are separate countries and there are borders which had become very stringent in terms of checks because of constant and incessant terrorist attacks on Israel.,even citizens of Mexico that is not at constant war with the US can not just stroll through the Mexican/US border into the US.Now is there apartheid on the Arab(Palestinian) citizens of Israel in Israel?,you know the answer to that.

Secondly,You were so m quick to bringing up the Palestinian Nakba while ignoring the Jewish Nakba.before Israel's declaration of independence in 1948 there was strong,viable and prosperous Jewish communities scattered all over the Middle East and North Africa,they were slaughtered, robbed of all they had and displaced.they lost all they had acquired for generations and returned to Israel and started afresh,no international organization was setup for them to help them like UNRA yet they overcame the obstacles and thrived.

While the Palestinian nakba victims are still refugees after more than 75 years even to a 3rd generation and a UN body was set up exclusively for them so that they will continue to be refugees milking money from the UN.

Thirdly the talk of Israeli blockade not making Gaza prosperous is utter nonsense,did you see Gaza before the October 7 attacks? Does it look like an open air prison like they said it was? The blockade did not just start in a vacuum it was after consistent and incessant terrorist attacks from Gaza on Israelis in Israel.
Israel left unanimously and unconditionally the Gaza strip in 2005 taking along even Israeli remains in cemeteries and left them thriving green houses and other economic assets which Hamas promptly destroyed to make rockets.

Gaza got more money in aid than the whole of Europe after WW2 yet they did nothing with it but buy rockets and build terrorist tunnels bigger than the London metro,ask yourself if the blockades was so effective how did they manage to get all the equipments into Gaza?

Fourthly admitted land can not be taken through war but not when it is a defensive war,the wars that have led to Israel taking those lands where defensive wars, Israel was attacked and they defended themselves and won.If it can be proven that the continued retention of that land will help in it not be subsequently attacked then it is permissible by law.like the case of the Golan heights Israel will never relinquish it because of the strategic position because a loss of it to an enemy force will be disastrous.

As much as 14 states of what is today USA was once Mexico but we don't hear Mexico clamoring to take it back or do we hear Germany clamoring to take back lands they lost to both France and Poland.The biased UN has not made any nonsense declaration to have the US or France nor Poland return those lands except in the case of tiny Israel,ask yourself just like Golda Meir said if the 1967 borders were so holy why did the Arabs go to war with Israel in 1967?.

Japan lost more than 3 million souls to the US,100 thousand in a day to the US nuclear bomb but do you see Japanese carrying out terrorist attacks on American civilians? They moved on and they built an economy that is amongst the top 10 in the world..the Palestinians have remained stuck on the supposed wrong they believed was done to them continuing to claim refugee status going up to 3 generations now and asking a right to return to where you might wonder,they want to reap where they did not sow,after the Jews made the desert bloom they want to return,the Jews will fight to the last man.

Nobody is against the Palestinian right to live in dignity like you are claiming but the Palestinian leaders themselves.the Palestinians have been cursed with perhaps the worst leaders in the whole universe,the country they are asking for now has been offered to them 6 previous times and every single time they regected it.
The most annoying one is the one brokered by Bill Clinton at camp David where Gaza and more than 80% of West bank including east Jerusalem as capital was regected.

I'm in support of Israel not allowing the creation of any Palestinian state because it would be suicidal having a terrorist state so close to it's border until a generation of Palestinians will come that wants to live side by side with Israel in peace ✌️

Israel is not interested in a land grab of Gaza and i doubt that you even know that Israel offered Gaza back to Egypt in it's Abrahamic peace accord with Egypt when the Sinai desert captured by Israel from Egypt in 1967 was returned, Egypt flatly regected having Gaza but took back the Sinai because they know how belligerent the Arabs(Palestinians) were and didn't want to have any thing to do with them that is why like you pro Palestinians refuse to acknowledge they have a massive concrete reinforced wall on their borders with Gaza.
