The generation we live in now is filled with so many believers who only profess to love God, but do not act, show, practice and demonstrate the love of God to others.

Matthew 15:8 "AMP:These people draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me."

From the Bible reference above, so many people that think and claim to know and love God are only deceiving themselves because their heart is far from God!

Do you truly and really love God?
Are you keeping and obeying his commands?

One of the way to really show that you love God is by keeping and obeying his commandment.
Obeying the command is not a request or an advise, it's a demand and a command!

Now, you should ask yourself, what are the commands of God that I need to keep and obey?

These commands includes tithing, evangelism, relationship and sex matters, divorce, general christian lifestyle etc.

If you really and truly love God, you will not be selective as to which of his commands to keep and obey!

If your love for God has not been tried, tested and proven to be genuine, then there is no love for God in the first place.

His Command About Premarital Sex

We are now in a generation where premarital sex is rampant, even among some so called believers.

Hebrews 13:4"AMP:Let marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things. And thus let the marriage bed be undefiled (kept undishonored); for God will judge and punish the unchaste [all guilty of sexual vice] and adulterous."

From the Bible reference above, we can see clearly that God is not in support of premarital sex and severe consequences awaits all those involved in this shameful act!

No matter how the world, the devil and his agents may present premarital sex in different ways and forms, we must be wise and be ready to say no like Joseph.

You may be asking, what if I only kiss, peek, hug, and romance without sexual intercourse?
The answer to your question is what is the reason and motive behind your actions?

1 Thessalonians 5:22"KJV:Abstain from all appearance of evil"

From the Bible reference above, we must keep away from everything that appears evil and does not glorify God!

Are you obeying and keeping his command about premarital sex?

If you want to go far in all areas of your life, you must learn to say no to the devil's offer to engage in premarital sex.

His Command About Tithing And Giving

First, we need to understand that there is a difference between tithing and giving, we should not join some new generation churches that says giving should replace tithing.

According to Oxford mini dictionary, tithe is the tenth part of the increase arising from the profits.
Tithe is to paid from profit and not from capital or loss.

Malachi 3:10"KJV:Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

From the Bible reference above, God has commanded us to bring tithe into his house and not to give it to the poor and needy.

The blessings of tithing are numerous, you can check them out by reading Malachi 3:10-13.

Luke 6:38"KJV:Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

From the Bible reference above, what you give is what you get with an added extra!

Do not be weary or tired in giving and helping the needy because you will be duly rewarded and you are indirectly giving to God!

God's word is forever settled and God is not the author of confusion. Let the Holy spirit guide and lead you on how frequently to give, tithe, redeem a pledge and pay your first fruit!

Are you obeying his command about tithing and giving?

Your giving is directly proportional to your lifting. If you give nothing, you will receive nothing, if you give little, you will receive little!

His Command About Evangelism

According to the Oxford mini dictionary, evangelism is sharing news of something in order to convince someone to join or otherwise accept it.

There are several means and platforms that can be used to preach the gospel of Christ.

Mark 16:15"KJV:And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

From the Bible reference above, we have been commanded to preach the gospel of Christ to all creatures in all the world.

The call to preach is not meant for Bishop's, Pastor's, Evangelist's and church worker's alone, it is for every bona-fide and genuine children of God!

However, you cannot offer what you do not have i.e if you are not saved, you can not preach to unbelievers to be saved.

How often do you examine yourself?

According to the Oxford mini dictionary, to examine is to observe or inspect carefully or critically.
It is also to determine the aptitude, skills, knowledge, strength, weakness or qualifications of someone by subjecting them to an examination.

Before any student, no matter how brilliant or smart can progress to another level in his or her educational pursuit, he or she must be subjected to an examination.

The results of such examination depend whether there will be promotion, stagnation or even retrogression.

It is therefore safe to say that, no examination, no promotion!

How should you examine yourself?

In the place of self examination, do not compare yourself with anyone.

Examine Yourself Financially

There is a great need for us to examine ourselves financially.

Ecclesiastes 5:5"AMP:It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay."

From the Bible reference above, we can see the advise and warning not to pledge what we can not redeem.

Many have made a lot of financial commitment, promises and vows but are unable to fulfill it or they have totally forgotten about it.

Again, many are not paying tithes and offering commensurate with their earnings or profit.
There are so many believers, CEO's managers, employers of Labour giving peanuts as tithes or offering.

If you are engaged in the attitude of being miserly in the place of paying tithes and offering, you are only shortchanging yourself!

Furthermore, there are some so called believers who do not have financial integrity i.e, they borrow money, but when it's time to pay back, they always have one excuse or the other.

According to Romans 13:8, do not borrow or owe any man.
Psalm 37:21"AMP:The wicked borrow and pay not again [for they may be unable], but the [uncompromisingly] righteous deal kindly and give [for they are able]."

From the Bible reference above, only the wicked borrows and do not pay back.

Whether you are a believer or not, if you borrow and do not pay back, you are simply a wicked fellow!

You need to seek the help of the Holy Spirit to examine yourself financially and make restitution were and when necessary!

If you are not faithful in the little God has committed to your care, he can not trust you with more resources.

Examine Yourself In Obedience To God

Another area we must not fail to examine ourselves is in the place of obedience to God.

John 14:15"AMP:If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands."

From the Bible reference above, one way to examine yourself if you really and truly love God is complete and absolute obedience to his word and commandments.

All his commandments have been summarized just into two parts.
Matthew 22:37-39"
(37) AMP:And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).
(38) AMP:This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.
(39) AMP:And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself."

The problem with the world now is lack of genuine love, for God and towards our neighbors!

Let the love of God fill your hearts and feel free to express it towards your neighbor!

How much do you love God, yourself and your neighbor?

God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Ensure you are not selfish with the love of God.

Examine Your Salvation

Your self examination is incomplete without including your salvation.

Philippians 2:12"AMP:Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ)."

From the Bible reference above, we have been encouraged and advised to consciously, unconsciously and even subconsciously work out our salvation daily with fear and trembling.

How do you examine your salvation?

First, check your thirst and hunger for the word of God.

Second, check your level of commitment towards the things of God.

Again, check your passion and attitude to attending fellowship with brethren.

Furthermore, check your giving and prayer lifestyle.

There are some new generation believers who fail to examine their salvation because they have been brainwashed to believe that once you give your life to Jesus Christ, you are forever saved even when you sin, God will always forgive you without you asking for forgiveness.

Let the word of God be the benchmark and standard for examining your salvation and not the doctrines and philosophy of men!

However, you can not examine your salvation if you are not saved in the first place.

If you are yet to open your mouth, confess and declare Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior, do so now because procrastination or delay is dangerous!

It is quite unfortunate that many give more attention and priority to their profession at the expense of their salvation. Take time to work out your salvation!

Go with your phone carton and tell them your phone was stolen,they will ask you few questions to get some personal details and other vital information. But they will surely get your imei numbers and the sim number in the phone when it was stolen, and the number they will reach you if the phone is found.

My A3 pro was stolen today at costain, Lagos. i cried without shedding tears after considering what i went through to get the phone. It was even OGA lexus that helped pay 8k for custom clearing fee at the post office. It is well.
