You paid back more than the loan you took because you’re expected to pay the principal amount plus interest.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Got A Job In Saudi Arabia But Am Scared To Make The Move by Bigkenny: 7:26pm On Dec 31, 2024
temmybaba:
Hi guys...

So I got a job in Saudi Arabia as a heavy duty equipment electrician 2years contract but renewable but am very scared to make the move cox of the fear of the unknown...

Firstly I work with a reputable company here in Nigeria in the maritime sector as a FTE and I get approximately 400k monthly and I am being offered a salary of 3500sr(1.3m) for the Saudi Arabia job. I will only visit my country once in a year, am not married and am 33, n pressure of marriage dey my neck.

Though accomodation and flight expenses will be catered for by the company but I don't know if it's really worth taking the move though I don't know the cost of living in saudi Arabia.... I don't know if you have a saudi Arabia experience.. please I need your inputs...

Thank you very much
Many Nigerians now live and work in Saudi Arabia, especially health professional workers. Go for it
PoliticsRe: Yahaya Bello Released After Meeting Bail Conditions by Bigkenny: 6:03am On Dec 21, 2024
The federal government and EFCC are just wasting public funds because the majority of the public officials they have prosecuted were all released scot-free with no jail time or refund of public funds, which they stole while in office.

Anyway, this is Naija.

CrimeRe: Why Do Nigerians, Who Have Relocated To Better Countries, Still Commit Crimes? by Bigkenny: 1:09am On Nov 28, 2024
Greed.

They are similar to our leaders, who, despite holding better positions in various offices and earning more money, still steal our resources.
PoliticsRe: Yahaya Bello Controls Supporters As Judge Frowns At Court Room Crowd by Bigkenny: 12:52am On Nov 28, 2024
I can't just imagine that some jobless individuals went to court to support this criminal.

I now believe that Nigeria is a shit-hole country, and we the citizens are the ones who are encouraging our leaders to steal our resources.

Yea. I didn't itemize those expenses individually but I assumed 1k could take care of them.
Nope, he or she will pay at least 1686 pounds tax on income of 21000 pounds.

See income tax rates below.

Band Taxable income Tax rate
Personal Allowance Up to £12,570 0%
Basic rate £12,571 to £50,270 20%
Higher rate £50,271 to £125,140 40%
Additional rate over £125,140 45%

He or she will also pay the National insurance.

Don't forget about rent, feeding, and phone bills. Even if you rent just a room and live outside London, it will cost you more than 4000 pounds a year.

I read through the thread and observed that many people are thinking the lawyer made a bad decision to have relocated to the UK. Now, let's do the Maths on the matter: considering that the man remains a cleaner throughout or in the next 10 years, he'll still be a cleaner.

Average hourly rate in the UK for a cleaner is £11.

For a day, if he does £11 x 10 hours (whether cleaner work or something else on the side).

That's like £110 a day.

Amounting to £110 x 25 days monthly (taking 5 days to rest).

That's like £2,750 monthly.

Let's say £1,000 for rent, food, and other expenses, which may not be up to that.

In a year, he'll make £1,750 x 12 months

That's like £21,000 per annum saved.

If he decides to stay in the UK for 10 years and return to Nigeria.

He'll be coming back with at least £21,000 x 10 years.

That's like £210,000.

Covert that to Nigerian naira.

£210,000 x 2,300 NGN (may be more by then).

That's like 483,000,000 NGN.

Man can build a small house then flex the remaining until death.

Now, I ask you again, did he make the right choice to have left Nigeria?
Your maths doesn't add up. First of all, a full-time job is 8 hours per day. Also, you never mentioned taxes, medical insurance, and other associated deductions that will chop the salary by 30% or over.

Also, you never factor in feeding, accommodation, and other bills.

HealthRe: The Percentage Of People With Hypertension Per Region - StatiSense by Bigkenny: 7:40am On Nov 27, 2024
This is an unreliable statistical number. More than half of the Nigerian population doesn't go to the hospital; they use herbal medicine to cure whatever ailments they have.

Do the people who compiled these numbers go to the native doctors to get a list of their patients?

The OP was talking about the US DV Lottery, popularly known as the visa lottery, not the Canadian or US monetary lottery winning bets you were referring to.

Mitchel Dyck, or whatever you called yourself. It is obvious from your writing style and English usage that you are not the person you claimed to be. You're just a regular Nigerian guy who wants to take advantage of or defraud someone else.

For those who have scheduled or rescheduled an appointment this week, does the appointment calendar still show any available spots in March, April, or May?
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Bigkenny: 7:06pm On Nov 15, 2024
Milito:
Yes of course. You should have opportunity for 3 reschedules.

Though in my own case, I rescheduled only once and the system is telling me I can only reschedule only one again. The system has eaten one of my reschedule opportunity cheesy.
I raised a ticket to complain about this, but as usual, nothing was done. It's just there, opened.
I checked my account a few minutes ago, and I think the opportunity to reschedule per applicant is limited to 2 because my account shows that I have 2 reschedules available.
