TravelRe: Canada Spouse Family Sponsorship Visa/appeal Process by bigmills: 9:02am On Sep 22, 2025
I submitted the marriage certificate and also pictures we took at the registry.
We also submitted our chats since 2019 we started dating till the day we submitted the application..and tickets, visas from the time we have travelled together..
Jenykech:
Did you submit a marriage certificate? The marriage certificate is important because from what you’re saying it’s only pictures you provided, if you did not provide a registered wedding certificate it will definitely delay the process.

I didn’t do a white wedding. I did only civil and trad. I provided the pictures and the marriage certificate. By God’s grace our application was approved in August, we submitted in May.

I Tap into this.
I submit for my wife April 29th, Medical and biometrics confirmed passed June 19.
We have not heard anything since.

We had our church and big party in August 9 although we did intro and trad December last year and we provided pictures from those to them.

Do we still need to send pictures from our church blessing and wedding party to IRCC?

our VO as we know is currently Sydney in Canada.

We requested GCMS notes since July 22 and yet to receive it

Charityjunkie:
We submitted my husband’s application on the 25th of April and got the PPR letter on the 25th of August.

Send the below to your school:
Subject: Update on Visa Application Status and Resumption
Dear [Recipient’s Name],
I am writing to inform you that my visa application is still under processing at the embassy, and this may delay my physical resumption.
Please find below the details of my visa application timeline:
[Insert timeline of application here]
I am hopeful that the visa will be issued soon, allowing me to join without much delay. I will keep you updated once I receive confirmation of my travel date.
In the meantime, kindly let me know if there is anything I can do ahead of resumption. Additionally, in case my visa is approved after the official resumption date, could you please share with me the deadline for enrollment/registration so that I can minimize any gaps.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support.

ooouuuiii:
Hello everyone,
Congratulations to all who have received their visas.

For those that have received their visas or decision email, please did you receive the decision email before the weekly decision list? This will help in knowing what to communicate with the school since resumption deadline is nextweek

Today's Thursday and tomorrow is the last working day of the week. Can one still get a decision email tomorrow before list is released on Monday?

Also for those who received decision emails, was it as a result of following up with the Visa office via email/calls? Or it was just due process and them sending the decision email?

Please kindly help those of us still waiting with this info so that we can know what to communicate with our schools accordingly. Thank you 🙏🏽

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know how long a study visa appeal typically takes nowadays? I understand it can vary depending on the circumstances, but a general time range based on experience would be helpful to set personal expectation."
TravelRe: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by bigmills: 11:24pm On Sep 15, 2025
Writ to your school and inform them about the situation.
Also track your application and write to the embassy

Irish embassy use about 6 weeks to process
Judasiscarriot:
IRCC gives a time frame of 30 days to go for biometrics. Biometrics is never immediate. That time should be enough to conclude with the Irish embassy

Hello,

The course you want to do is on critical skills list yea but in reality it is haaaaaard to get a job in that field as from observation and few connect, it is an Irish/European dominated industry more like law here. So I would advice you chose another program but anything in construction...

Nickxander11:
Please I need advice.

I want to move to Ireland for masters with the goal of getting PR after my studies. I discovered that my current profession(Quantity Surveying) and intended course of study (Construction project management) are in the critical skill occupation list, which would increase my chances of getting PR, hence my reason for choosing the country. Please I need clarification on the following

1) The possibility of getting a job as a student. Are there jobs to help offset bills as a student?

2) The possibility of getting a job during/after studies as either a Quantity Surveyor/ Construction Manager/ Project manager (Construction)

3) I want to apply to South East Technological University (Waterford) by next week latest. Is the school recommendable? what is their admission rate, and timeline for processing admission? ( I would like to reach out to anybody studying there)

4) The timeline for Visa approval. My program starts this September.

Thanks in anticipation of your kind response(s).

Hi People,

I have a little issue and I need your guidance or advice.

I submitted my passport at irish embassy yesterday for irish visa. The visa processing time will take about 6 - 8 weeks.

Just today IRCC sent me biometrics request letter.

Does anyone know how I can retrieve my passport from Irish embassy or is it possible to go to VFS with my biometrics request letter and scanned copy of my passport datapae, would that be accepted?

Kindly advice please

Hi All

A friend just got an invitation to apply to SINP provincial nomination and for the part that says "Work Experience during the six to ten year period prior to application" She has 2 years experience there and it was paid in cash.
Can she use a cash certificate as proof of salary payment alongside reference letter from the company she worked for?

I have a friend that did in December and got his passport back within 3 weeks.
Just plan 4 weeks.
cutebear:
I am so worried right now. I presently live in England and did my Canada biometrics in London. I just submitted my passport to VFS for my COPR, but I was unaware of the extremely long wait time to receive the visa stamp until last night when I decided to check this forum, and I saw that people who used the London VFS/IRCC office were complaining that it took 4 -10 weeks to receive their passports compared to the Accra office cry I have a business trip to Europe in early April, and I can't afford to miss it. I think it's so unfair to hold on to someone's passport for several weeks. The U.S returns passports after 3 days. Hearing about the wait times is causing me so much panic. How soon can I raise a web form? If I tell IRCC about my upcoming business trip, will this help?

Accommodation in Dublin: It is easier for a camel to go through a needle than this. All the same, you will always get something but might be expensive and difficult to get. If you know someone, the person can accommodate you for a while.

The program: I advise prospective candidates to always consider employability when picking a program. Don't do MSc in Enterpreneurship please. It's better you do a program that is more specialised or one that's less narrow. Do something closer to economics..like FinTech, International business.

Also cost of living here is getting higher by the day. Overall, Ireland is a calm country and a nice place generally.quote author=Esaraprincess post=120372567]Hi guys, please I got admission to National College of Ireland for a 1 year master.
