TV/MoviesRe: FG Asks Multichoice To Suspend DSTV, GOTV Price Increase by BigSteph(m): 10:30am On Aug 27, 2020

But this same government has increased fuel price, increased VAT and are now talking of increasing electricity tariff and they are here talking about dstv sub. After easing lockdown, which we all know has wrecked this economy and rendered many jobless, the government increased passenger service charge for air travellers by 100%.

They suggested palliatives in form of suspended electricity bills for us during the lockdown, we both know the result. So what are they talking about?

They are just looking for means as usual to appear like they care about us. If they truly did, it is not tv they will be tackling. How about tackling unemployment? How about insecurity? They ignore all these and face tv people who are struggling to keep their business afloat in a business environment that is working against them.

NBC's harassment through its new code is discussion for another day.

A government that wants to regulate charges of private businesses is one that provides an enabling environment for it to thrive. Then we can query incessant upward review of prices. Until then, the government should face bigger issues like school reopening! Our kids don dey forget ABC!
PoliticsCOVID-19: Lagosians Blame State Govt For Hike In Transport Fare (video) by BigSteph(op): 4:37pm On May 31, 2020
Some residents of Lagos State have said the state government and not transporters should be blamed for the hike in fares.

Most commercial transporters in the state have increased fares on their routes, due to reduction in the number of passengers they now carry over the social distancing guideline, necessitated by the coronavirus outbreak.

Car TalkRe: Car Talk Chat Room by BigSteph(m): 7:05pm On Dec 27, 2019
Hey guys, please my Toyota Camry 2010 is trying everything possible to kill me. I have serviced the injector twice this month alone and it still keeps rough idling. A mechanic told me its a wiring or battery issue while another said its the injector. He's insisted i change it altogether. Please i'm confused. This car runs well when i'm speeding but has a terrible idle in traffic, which is inevitable in Lagos.
A trick i deployed last week is to switch to 'Neutral' when in traffic. it steadies the engine but goes rough again when i switch to 'Drive'.
PoliticsRe: Border Closure: Other Countries Need Us More Than We Need Them by BigSteph(m): 10:05am On Nov 07, 2019
Hmmm...i agree with this but why not empower local producers to do more first shutting the borders. We as Nigeria must reclaim our place in Africa and indeed the world as the heavyweights we once were.
Shooyie:
They said we are the poverty capital of the world. Our President decided that we should just close our poverty stricken borders to the outside world so that we can manage on our own. Suddenly, scarcity hits Benin republic. Demonstration hits Ghana. Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines envoys all came calling. Their economy depends on our poverty. They are begging the most corrupt nation on Earth to do business with them. They have no buyers for their commodity. In our neighbors domain, scarcity have hit them hard.
Meanwhile at home we are coping just fine. Our markets have not been hit by scarcity. It turned out they need us more than we need them. We have all it takes to stand alone as a nation. All we need is a plan and a willing leader.
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by BigSteph(m): 4:21pm On Aug 22, 2019
Hello. I drive a Toyota Camry 2010 model (Muscle). I recently filled my AC after about a month of not using it. On the day it was filled, while driving back home, i noticed that my car's idle was rough.

On Monday on my home from work, the car went off in traffic and took a while before coming back on. I've called my mechanic but i don't trust him anymore, he seems to always be interested in 'eating' my money.

Please what could be the problem. Please note that the car runs normally when i don't use the AC. Also i noticed my headlights now shake slightly. I noticed this lastnight on my way home. When i rev, they get brighter. and the tire pressure light won't go off even after ensuring my tires are well inflated.
PoliticsRe: Coalition Of Nigeria Entertainers To Protest Against Babatunde Fowler by BigSteph(m): 11:00am On May 10, 2019
All these mushroom groups formed by desperate people. That aside, when will we mature enough in this country to shun ethnic sentiments? If a man has done well, at least by his stats, why must we attack him because he belongs to another tribe? Nigeria will not grow like this!
