ismailaja:Depends on what motivates you. Money? Fame? Making a mark? Happiness? Freedom? You need to answer a lot of questions, the right choice would come naturally when you do. |
What if we all advice you to become a Doctor? I think you should hold off a bit and decide for yourself what you are good at and what to expand on. I won't live your life with you so I don't know how my telling you what to be would help. |

Jokay07:Have you noticed through time beautiful women get what you sweat for on a platter of gold? It's even in the Bible. Brains are given to us for a reason, to work hard and acquire beautiful things. |
Beazy:Because the Brilliant debater should be able to use his brains an the laptop to buy brand new cars. |
These are the things people should discuss during dating, not making s*ex or money collection which they'd do forever if all works out a priority |

Export Crude, Import Petrol. Export Gas, Import Electricity. |
BoboYekini: Nice thread. I had The Millionaire Fast lane eBook from maybe last year, but getting round to reading it is tough. I don't like when books promise a lot and the first 3 chapters is just anecdotes and personal stories...I doubt anyone would tell you do this, this and this. Personal stories let you draw from experiences of who've been there, done that. I personally love biographies |
Denn: How do you catch a monkey?Ask the monkeyhunters, @mercilicious should know better ![]() |
tooltip: ahah! I finally found one of my kind......Lol I tried bolded last year, had to cut my trip the system I put up wasn't perfect. I've read the Tim Ferris Book. I doubt he works 4 hours, lol. I can't get my mind of work even on vacation. It's an addiction. This month, I've read the Star Principle (highly recommended) and 80/20 principle by Richard Koch, Currently reading Built to Last by Jim Collins. I'm a Business person, right from Uni, what about you? |
tooltip: I remember a certain bigx from the auto section, specifically from the league of lions, howz your 307?*winks*....I read a book that radically changed my mindset about hustling....lol, its called "the millionaire fastlane by mj demarco", you can google it and find a copy on 4shared though....you could visit the forum with immense resources too at fastlaneforum.com....... I like the OP's determination, but he is on the slowlane, he needs to use his web dev skills to build a sustainable web-based business, people with non-technical skills are not left out too as you can outsource your tech work or get a co-founder....I look forward to hearing your success storiesLol, I've semi-dumped the 307 o, I left it and travelled out and someone bashed it and did one kind shoddy cover-up panelbeating. I use it just once a while now. I've the Millionaire Fastlane, really insightful book. Another that would help is the E-myth by michael gerber and Ready, Fire, Aim by Michael Masterson. Those really where motivating when I first started business. I'm sort of a bookworm, lol. I've a huge bookshelf where a tv should be in my bedroom |

Becoming a business person is a matter of choice, I became one because I wanted the challenge, I wanted freedom, I wanted to do things my way and I wanted to help as many as I can through employment and the rest. What I see nowadays is people reading Forbes and going ahead to create lousy, me-too products and expecting to break even with that. You see people frustrated by job hunt and all of a sudden they say they are entrepreneurs. You see people unwilling to solve simple challenges in their jobs and they rather resign and jump into entrepreneurship which to me is a series of daily challenges which must all be solved for you to meet payroll and still have something left. You see people annoyed with small salaries and they all of a sudden are entrepreneurs, if money is your motivation I'm sorry for you, you won't last. Entrepreneurship is something you go into deliberately with a plan band not jump into or get pushed into. |
True, As a result of the numerous charlatans using the title I stopped referring to myself as "entrepreneur" long ago. I'm just plain businessman. The term "entrepreneur" nowadays evokes an image of a below 30 unshaven young man with a laptop bag(and an archaic laptop) and worn-out shoes dragging for change with a conductor and most likely getting a job 2 years later. It's being misused. |
databoy247: Thanks for your advice but i didnt accept the partnership. My business is still young and i believe i need to find some footing before i start seeking investors. No matter how small, i believe i can make it grow and when that happens, better offers will come. I also received an invitation from a french mobile company that specialize in powerful android smartphones and they need outlets across the country to partner with for their mass roll out anytime soon. I have submitted my data and currently awaiting further communication. If my office becomes one of the major outlets for Delta State representing the company, investors will knock on my door. You know how it is with TECNO major outlets. And from what i have seen so far, this company is far better than TECNO. I still keep my fingers crossed sha.Sounds Familiar... And they are the type that scream "No jobs!!" the loudest |
