To be clear, this isn't just one record book stored in a central location that is shared by many. There are thousands of copies of this record book, stored on computers all around the world, both home computers and business servers - hence the term "decentralised". This record book can be used to record many kinds of things, however I'll use sending and receiving money as the primary example, as it's the most common one right now.

When John wants to send money to Sue, a new line item is created detailing that transaction. This line item then gets sent off to hundreds of other computers who have a copy of the record. Those computers confirm that this transaction is authorised, and ultimately they agree (or disagree) that everything about the transaction is legitimate before giving that line item a tick of approval. It has to match up perfectly on every copy of the record.

It's as if John and Sue had a few hundred mates stand around them and watched John hand Sue the money in question, and they all agreed that he really did hand her the money, as well a other aspects of the transaction, such as it being the right amount.

The genius of this shared record book is that it requires no bank, no centrally owned company, and you don't have to place your trust in any financial institution... there doesn't need to be any middleman of any kind.

Because of those technology design decisions, fudging line items in this shared record book is impossible. If someone who has one or more copies of the record book on their computers was to try and dishonestly change it, those changes would be rejected by the many computers used in the verification process - things wouldn't match up. "But where is the money stored if there is no bank?"

Here's one of the more challenging parts of this to grasp: when we're talking about digital currency such as Bitcoin, there's no repository of coins - that line item in the record book is the money. Studies have shown that Integrating interventions that address self-care skill deficits in older children may help the children with ASD benefit more from traditional CBT techniques.

And that the treatment approach should consider and address the deficits in ASD that could undermine the efficacy of traditional CBT techniques.

The first step in addressing anxiety using CBT techniques involves the identification of the root cause of their fear.

For example, children may be afraid of being separated from their parents in school. If this is discovered as the root cause, the next step is for the therapist to challenge the anxiety of the child.

The therapist should do this by adopting the exposure therapy technique -where the child is prodded to face his/her fear in a progressive manner -by increasing the period the child spends apart from the mother.

The parent can adopt this technique# at home if advised by professionals.

So, apart from the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, parents should also ensure that they identify the kind of food that may help trigger anxiety.

To show you the importance of food in the management of anxiety crisis – I will share an interview I had with a mother whose son has ASD.

“Hi Peter, my son’s anxiety is related to autism. No medications in his case, but there are so many factors that help him to be more relaxed at social gatherings.

First of all, he follows a special diet, that aims to reduce agitation and hyperactivity, without gluten and milk (which he is also allergic to) and very low in sugar.

He is focused and more open to listening to us when following the diet.

He takes melatonin to sleep better.

He is less likely to have an anxiety crisis when he is well rested.

And then, we try to talk to him and encourage him to try new things. He will say no a thousand times, but I never gave up. Somedays, we just take him and explain the

new activity we are about to embark on, and follow through until we see him nervous. I don’t over expose him, and I try to respect his limits. Quite often -he asked to repeat the experience in the future.”

Three Key Lessons To Learn on Managing Anxiety in an Autistic Child

1. Identify Food Triggers

This is individualistic and should not be generalized. What triggers an outburst in A may be different from what triggers an outburst in child B.
