Which bank did you use?

I'm looking at the possibility of making cash deposit into the provided account details. It should save some costs. Although I haven't found out if its possible.

Oh! I see...Poor them.

You can do some value analyses to be sure the investment would be worth the transfer or otherwise.

All the best.

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by billtommy(m): 3:49pm On Feb 03, 2020
But the Correspondent bank account provided by fbn quest is that of standard chartered in New york. When i asked, i was told i would be charged for making a transfer into a standard chartered account

tomtom370:
5% transfer fee from where to where?

If you run a dollar account with FBN, there shouldn’t be a transfer fee sending dollar to another FBN domiciled dollar account.

I opened Eurobond account with United Capital, and thankfully, their bank corresponded with my dollar account, so no need for transfer fee.

I feel so skeptical doing eurobond with FBN quest despite opening the account, as I was misinformed not to open a domicillary account.

Anyone doing eurobond with FBN quest here?

My account got ready last week, but I am yet to fund it. I can't bear the 5% transfer cost. I'm looking out for alternatives

Thanks for the teachings sir

Sorry,I can only tell you about stocks I frequently trade on.I understand their technicals.Wapco is one of them, then fcmb, fidelity, Transcorp,Honeywell.

For zenith,I bought it and held it for 2.5 years before offloading.I don't know much about zenith trading pattern.
For UBA,I traded on it once and I don't know anything about it's tecnicals.

All I can tell you about the two now is they are good fundamental stocks and also dividend paying stocks. If they don't poo, they will vomit.

The ones,I understand how to play their games,I cherish them alot.

Keep your Wapco. The fundamentals and sentiments sorrounding it is getting stronger.Their 2018 financial year end result was very poor. They return into profitability in 2019.The result being expected from Wapco this week or anytime will push the price up.The 2019 Q1,2 and 3 results shows an improvement. The Q4 of 2019 will not be exempted.

In this 2020,Dangote cement and Obu cement companies are increasing their share capital. This will give a boost to Wapco price too.sit tight but always book profit before any pullback. The signs of a pullback is always there if you put interest to study the behaviour of a stock you are trading.

We used the virus attack to play a lucrative game in the key stocks that interests investors. This week is a week of restoration.

Enjoy the week and do not panic but never make a mistake of keeping a stock for so long.Always buy a single stock in volume after making your DD very well and Target 10% - 20%.Dont regret selling a stock even if the price continues going up after you sold.Any trader with substantial units of stock always exit when there is good liquidity in the stock. You may not have a good time to offload when everyone wants to sell.

These days are no longer like those days brokers trade for people.Everyone is doing it together with brokers nowadays.Dont expect a stock to go up much except there is serious news sorrounding the stock.

Just feel like disclosing this to you.Have a great week ahead.

You're an angel. Thanks a bunch. What's your take on the zenith and uba?

I was charged 135$ for transferring 13k$, and 3.5$ for withdrawing 7k$. Banks have different charges for cash deposit or inflow into your domiciliary account when you want to withdraw or transfer.

When subscribing for eurobond, will these charges be applicable? Transfer charges seem quite too high....can it be bypassed?

If nahco stock is a good buy, I would like to know why investing.com is recommending a sell. someone should be enlighten me

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by billtommy(m): 7:03pm On Jan 25, 2020
According to what I was told about fbn eurobond, minimum holding period is 6 months. But the bond tenor is 3-5 years.....I don't think it should attract any penalty of you take your money in let's say a year after investing. Anybody that is familiar with this should please enlighten us.

tomtom370:
This is my reality with a twist.

FBN offers about 9.4% on their Eurobond with a lock in period of 3-5years and minimum deposit of $2,500 but United Capital’s rate is 8% with a lock in period of 30 days at $1,000 entry.

FBN would have been sweet but thinking of the duration and the realities that unfold in this economy, I opted for the United Capital deal.

While expecting the best from life, it’s really good to prepare for the worst as well, that’s why diversification is essential for any diligent mind.

God go help us all.

EXACTLY.

For the NEWBIES that don't know how this stuffs works.close your ears to war mongers and monitor your portfolio meticulously from November till April those 6months are the PEAK PERIOD.

EXIT the market in the month of MAY for the so called LONG TERMERS and enjoy your LOOTS in peace.

Even during the dreaded stock GLOBAL MELTDOWN in 2008.I was in Singapore the ASI peaked in March at 66000bpt before it started declining in the month of APRIL after released of 2007 F/Y and 2008 Q1 results by SEPTEMBER it become GLARING there was serious fire on the mountain..

Due to this strategy some of us weren't affected much by the 2008 stock meltdown though I later paid heavy dues with BankPHB in 2011 and OANDO in 2014.

That's why we always preach SELL in MAY and GO AWAY then come back in NOVEMBER to repeat the circle again and again

*ThE OcToPuS*

What about the likes of wapco and other promising stocks? You suggest they should be sold in May too? Or this information only applies to banking stock. Greenhorn trying to learn

Any explanations from them on this development?

comparing the purchased rate with the present low rates, that is even being over subscribed. I think returning investments that were subscribed at high rate shouldnt be a problem. infact, i think they are gaining more.....considering time factor.
