I thin we need a general guideline. Every deal should have a transaction time limit. A deal without escrow shouldn't last more than 5 minutes( except bank causes delays).

A deal with escrow Max 15-30 minutes (max). Agree all terms with ur fellow trader, before inviting escrow. Escrow shouldn't be the one to negotiate terms for d both of you. If escrow has policies, escrow should just copy n paste it like his wallet address. Every party involved agrees to it, b4 consulting him. ( saves valuable time).

I believe its ur right to demand proof of coins/Skrill/whatever.

When i started trading newly here, Someone "reputable" here has once damaged my reputation to my client, because he advertised what he didn't have, instead, started using my money to source for coins. If not for the intervention of another "godsent" trader, too much story would have entered.

Please, for those who use ussd to transfer, note that proof of payment may be needed at anytime.

PS: this is only a suggestion. Its not infallible.

There are also special cases where ppl even give u coins that you don't have money to buy on credit, n pay them back when UV sold. (Yes. Its been happening behind the scenes. Don't be surprised. High trust levels). In such special cases, that one go dey outside the jurisdiction of Nairaland. (But u can still mention it sha if its beginning to go sour. ).

These are not rules.

The case between me and Hazzantazzan boils down to misunderstanding.
Your own case is different.
You wey be potential scammer.
You received payment finish and started saying all sort of things which only you can understand.
Having paid you, you didn't send what you were paid for but kept mute.
After wasting my time for several hours, you started abusing me as if I borrowed money from you even when you're still holding my money shocked

By advertising what you don't have.
By scolding me and turned me to a liar who doesn't know the difference between receiving money and money not received even after telling you about my next two payments after your own.

This will serve as a lesson to you and other people advertising what they don't have only to be forming bosses with no iota of remorse when they know that their money is not at stake.
