But I think it will be easier to define things precisely

Psychology is too broad

Here's the little i understand Abt the nature of the problem...

-It could be when to move trade to breakeven
-When to do nothing on the chart...
-How long to wait at certain areas before taking trade decision[/red]
-When to use wide stop loss
-When to stop trading after winning or losing
-What to do if you are not busy trading
- What other source of income is bringing in money[/red]

If you are not trading, perhaps, you can keep busy by doing some exercise or playing games on ya phone, just doing sth different.

I believe it is better to focus on solving these issues than calling it a psychology problem

If you had success before with the system, maybe, your stop loss needed to be wider or you needed to avoid trading at certain areas.

Also, how many pairs were you trading?

What is the nature of the correlation between the pairs you traded?

This information will help you and everyone else learn from your mistake.

Zedegit was harsh with his message but here's what I understood from him and how you may apply it....

Imagine you were to give out signals to your friends and family members based on your acct before you trade.

Write down this signal in your trade journal

Don't send it to anybody.


Now, Keep another journal recording your wins and losses.

If you do this, you would notice that you will become very careful to avoid stupid mistakes because you won't want to ruin your 'virtual signal' business and look stupid.

In fact, you will start looking for reasons not to take a trade and areas to avoid actively.

A $10k challenge giveaway would do a lot if one can get to the funding stage.

As you all know that I won a $10k giveaway challenge on Twitter recently even though I'm battling with drawdown at the moment due to some offline issues.
I only need the cash for the giveaway to fund my personal account to trade along with the challenge account.

Doing so would also go a long way to my trading and psychology.
And the offline issues I'm currently facing would take care of itself Sir.

One of the reasons why most hit DD is as a result of this % risk this. % risk that.
When you risk 1% per trade on a $10k using 1 standard lot, 1% risk on such will be 10pips SL. When you trade using this approach. There are high chances that you will go into revenge trading and lose the acct so fast.

But someone that does 0.01 lot, risking 1% per trade will last longer. Will trade under no pressure and hence better decision making. So best lot for $10k in my opinion is 0.01lot risking 1% per trade and no more than 2% risk per day.

For the timing, that there are no time limit does not mean you can not work out a time frame.
So in my view, wit a 2% target monthly. You should be good wit phase 1 in four to five months. And then another two to three months in phase 2
Those are what I think is ideal. But less gives rest of mind. That's why it's better to hustle for as many accounts as possible and it will make the target less.
