Please I Need Help; What Viable Business Can #500k Start In Portharcourt

I lost my bank job of over 4 years early this year. My efforts towards securing another job since then has been futile. I've invested in all sorts of online business but none yielded reasonably.

I have resolved to set up a business with my only savings of N500k here in Port Harcourt.

Great Nairalanders especially those resident in Port Harcourt, I've come for your advice. What business (NOT ONLINE) can I start with my 500k savings here in Port Harcourt?.

God bless as you advise
Dear,
With 500k, you can do much even in this economy.
What if I tell you that you can make at least 100k each month by investing 350k.
You might think it's a scam or not possible.
It's 100% legit and possibly!
Exportation will surprise you.
The most important things you need here to start include;
1. A good Knowledge of the products and business (I can get you ther).
2. A registered business with both CAC (corporate affairs commission and NEPC (Nigerian exporting promoting council.
3. Register with any b2b platform of your choice (but I would recommend globalbuyersonline to fit your budget).
4. A mobile phone to answer calls
5. Internet enabled device (your Android device can do the work needed)
6. email address.
7. Business or personal bank account.
If your are interested, I will explain more in detail.

Ok. I understand your dilemma. The Poco's camera is ok but far better when gcam is installed on it. I will advice you go for poco because it is far cheaper than the MI9.
OK. But I just wish the mi9's price will reduce

Hello. Have you decided on the phone to buy? If you haven't, research on the pocophone f1 or wait for the f2. Watch YouTube videos on it too. It is the best phone I have ever used. No regrets.
Poco f1? I am considering it since note 7pro's price went from $200 to $300+ now on about same price with the flagship device (poco f1).
I really need a good camera display but poco offers less with dual rear 12 + 5mp while 20mp in front.
However, a friend pushed me into mi 9 and after checking the phone out, am now in serious dilemma.
Mi9 is too fucking smart with; NFC, on display finger print, glass case, fast wireless charge, 48+mp and 20mp rear and selfie cameras, sd855 among others
My problems here goes to the battery but, with quick n wireless charge abilities I don't have mush worries accept the price which is above what am willing to spend.
I might go for poco f1, for poco f2, I don't really need to add to my dilemma unless it has good features and affordable too

Messi £7+m? I won't buy it. I don't have anything against the player but, the figure is far from reasonable

Go for the Xiaomi product and have peace of mind. However, you can state your budget and let me help you find better phones in that price range.
OK. Not more than #75k

This is how i make my comparison.

1. Camera- They have the same rear camera sensor. The difference of MP in front camera is insignificant. I almost never snap a picture at anything more than 5mp. Its the sensor size and aperture i care more of.

2. Battery - At 5150mah and 4000mah respectively, I prefer the latter because of the Snapdragon soc which is more power efficient and has quick charge technology reducing charging time drastically. The power efficiency may match the battery capacity of the former.

3. Both have the same RAM and ROM

4. Fingerprint sensors are available on both

My preference is the Xiaomi for this reasons

1.Antutu benchmark is higher

2.187g of Xiaomi is much much better to the 217 on the Umidigi

3. Even though a little larger in length and width its much slimmer at 8.1 vs 8.5mm
Helpful. Thank you

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is way above the Umidigi S3 Pro in performance, the Redmi Note 7 Pro has a Snapdragon 675 chipset with a 48MP Sony IMX586 Sensor which would produce better quality photos than the Umidigi S3 Pro has a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset with the same Sony 48MP IMX586, because Snapdragon chipsets comes with a dedicated Image Signal Processor(ISP) embedded in their chipsets.
Redmi Note 7 Pro uses Qualcomm Adreno 612 GPU which is better than the ARM Mali-G72 used on the Umidigi S3 Pro.
Although the Umidigi has a slightly better battery, but the Redmi Note 7 Pro battery is also very good.
Redmi Note 7 Pro would receive more software support than the Umidigi S3 Pro.

If you are one of those guys planning to buy a new phone and you are really confused about whether to buy a phone running on Snapdragon or MediaTek chipset this post is for you.

As against what many of you think, Snapdragon and MediaTek are not just processors, they are called system on a chip or SoC in technical term. So what exactly is an SoC? It is a single chip which contains your CPU, GPU, cellular modem, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth modules etc.

Now if you are wondering why your old phone doesn’t support 4G that’s probably because it doesn’t have the necessary radio sensors built within its SoC. So it is important to know what SoC is used in the smartphone you are planning to buy. The two leading SoC makers at the moment are Qualcomm with its Snapdragon range and MediaTek with its MT chipsets. That leads us to a question.

Which SoC is better?-MediaTek Or Snapdragon
.

To answer this question, we need to compare the chipsets and find out what’s the difference between them. Considering the CPU, both Snapdragon and MediaTek processes are based on architecture. It is an architecture that is designed primarily for low energy consumption, for example, a typical quad-core processor has two high power cores for high performance and two low power cores for low energy consumption.

Now you may be wondering if both chipsets use the same architecture what’s the difference? The main difference is that MediaTek doesn’t tinker with the architecture whereas Qualcomm modifies architecture to optimize its chipset for better performance and low power consumption.

Considering the GPU, Qualcomm uses its own Adreno GPU in its chipset while MediaTek uses Arms Mali GPU. Both the GPUs are great but developers usually prefer Adreno to develop and test their games, so some apps and games will not be compatible with phones running on MediaTek Mali GPU.

PERFORMANCE
.

When it comes to performance. There is no comparison since MediaTek concentrates mostly in the budget segment whereas Snapdragon, on the other hand, is the standard chipset for all high-end phones. So how does Snapdragon chipset achieve high performance? The secret is heterogeneous computing.

Let me explain with an example, if we use the camera app on a Snapdragon chipset there is a separate camera module that processes the images and this utilizes less battery whereas in MediaTek processor both CPUs and GPUs are involved in image processing, this leads to more heat dissipation and faster battery drainage.

MediaTek believes in profit from volumes rather than bigger profits from selling lesser units. This is what has made the company the go-to chipset manufacturer for low-cost handsets, on the other hand, Qualcomm Snapdragon is all about cutting-edge technology and is a bit pricier.

Due to this reason, phones using Qualcomm chipsets are usually much pricier than the MediaTek counterparts.

So, finally which chipset is better? There is no simple answer for this, it really depends upon your usage and the price you are willing to spend. Go for MediaTek based devices if you are looking for budget smartphones. On the other hand, when your budget is higher going for a Qualcomm port smartphone is a better idea.

Thanks op for initiating this thread.
I am looking to buy a new phone but, am confused which one to buy with two phones topping my list, they include; umidigi s3pro and xiaomi note 7pro which run on media tek and snapdragon chipsets respectively.
From my scale of preference below, I list the main features that I so much desire my new phone will be equipped with;
1. Camera. I need a very good camera for taking pictures and videos of my products to display them online.
2. Battery. l really don't like charging or am always lazy when it comes to charging. I manage to charge just once a day.
3. RAM and ROM. I need a 6gb or more RAM that processes at a lightning speed cos, hate it when phone hangs and a huge ROM to save files, videos, and movies.
4. Finger print sensor. Like my phone to be more secure.
Having listed this, could you please help by telling me which one has the best performance and would wonderfully suit my desire.
Many thanks again as i look forward for your reply.
