It is no secret that oil importers have been asked to source for forex outside the CBN and it is also no news that Buhari has awarded import contracts on behalf of the NNPC to his affiliates which will easily secure forex from the same CBN.


What we are experiencing today happened during Abacha era where Abacha and his family members and cronies where given juicy contracts to import PMS into Nigeria.


This fuel scarcity won't go until 3mths to the 2019 election and after which it will persist for the next 4 yrs or even 8yrs or more since Buhari will seek for tenure elongation after subverting the electoral process in 2019 to remain in power.

Why we are experiencing the continued scarcity is because the NNPC does not have enough fuel depots in lagos to store imported fuel .

The last time we had such arrangement was during the Abacha era where Abacha and his sons where the sole importers of fuel.
