My question is: where is the money for all these projects? An excuse for more borrowing, I guess.

I always wonder, between a governor or president who have built little or not infrastructure to his name but leave office without any debt and the ones that build massive, world class infrastructure but with debt that will take eternity to pay off; which one is better for the citizens? I am always tempted to think the one leaving office without incurring any debt is best.

What if she is running her mouth in public without self control and saying things that may cause you embarrassment? Yeah, you are making some sense here. But I like to believe the owners of eNaira were being overconfident and unrealistic about what would be the outcome of the judgement otherwise they should have been the one asking for out-of-court settlement knowing that CBN has a upper hand in the case because of the name 'Naira' they are using there.

The Judge is right to make those observations. The judge is however wrong to make eNaira payment solutions pay damages to Cbn.

Cbn should have been made to pay compensation to him as the first and legally named user of the portfolio and afterwards they retract the name from him. That way no hard feelings.

This should’ve been an out of court settlement where all parties quietly resolve things

Akwa Ibom State always stand out when it comes to cheating and marginalising the minority tribes. Why would the government move the port from the original location in Ibaka whose people are one of the minority tribes to another location belonging to one of the majority/dominant tribes and rename it? Why is Akwa Ibom like this?

Anytime that someone mentions the Lekki Deep Sea Port, someone will mention the Ibom Port and claim that the government or some unnamed people are "frustrating it". They don't name the people, but you have an idea of who they are referring to.

Those people do not know what they are talking about. The problem with Ibom Port reminds me of the issues that stalled the Olokola Free Trade Zone in Ogun and Ondo States.

The new port in Akwa Ibom State was originally called the Ibaka Port and it was meant to have been sited at Ibaka Bay. However, the location was changed in 2014 and it was renamed Ibom Port. See here: https://www.nairaland.com/2051694/controversial-ibaka-seaport-relocated-renamed


The community in the original location (Ibaka) then sued the Akwa Ibom State Government and everybody involved in the project in order to stop the relocation. And that's actually what is delaying construction of the Ibom Port.

China Harbour Engineering Company, the company responsible for both the Lekki Port (remember that I told you that Governor Tinubu went to China and Singaport to seek for investors in the Lekki Free Zone in the year 2000) and the Ibom Port says that it is still interested in the project, but it can't do anything now due to the lawsuit.

Hope you know that video that was circulated online which you are referencing is from one ward out of 98 wards making his constituency. If that was Okowa's ward, it is not surprising. There is still a possibility Ned could be the winner if all the results from the remaining 97 wards are computed.

If Ned has valid evidence he should be prepared to go to court which I am sure he will.

Anybody with basic knowledge of economics would know that:

1) the refinery has contributed to some extend in stabilizing the Naira as a result of urge foreign currencies especially US dollars flowing into the country through the refinery.

2) some Nigerians working in the refinery would probably have been jobless or underemployed if not for the refinery.

3) hope you know Dangote group paid N900 billion as tax to the federal government in 2025. The amount will likely double or even triple in few years time thanks to the refinery.

Are you still doubting that the refinery has helped Nigeria economy?

Christianity, the religion that came through Jesus has produced some of the most spiritually developed people who have impacted their generation positively. Although it has it's own imperfections just like everything in life. I can hardly say such about other religion. And don't forget that there is no other human being on earth who have been able to perform the kind of miracles that have been attributed to Jesus!

In the realm of science, my admiration for Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton knows no boundary!

For technology, I go for Edison

It remains to change Nigeria's name to 'Bola Tinubu Republic'.

Btw, I am sure one president in the future will change some of those names to something more befitting.
