You are partly right and partly wrong. If that was a one-off incidence (that is, if that was the first time such incidence ever happened and the husband was not at home there would be no basis to arrest him. But if that was not the first time, if it has been happening and the man was aware of it but did nothing to stop it or made no attempt to report the wife to authority then he deserved to be arrested.

I understand that most of this abuse happen when the man is not at home. He only hear the story when he returns from work. However, both husbands and wives have responsibility of reporting abusive partners who maltreat and dehumanise anybody under their care to authority otherwise, they would be liable for the offence too.

There's no basis to arrest the spouse of the culprit in a domestic violence. It's just like saying that the spouses or relatives of those who commit crimes should be arrested. That doesn't make sense at all! When I heard of the husband of the Anambra woman being arrested, I immediately knew it was people like you who are always quick to call for the heads of men in every unpleasant situation that must have triggered his arrest. This is because, unless the woman was not there at the time and perhaps the police decided to hold the man pending when the woman gets arrested, there's no basis for arresting the man when the child already identified the one who abused him.

If Obi win the forthcoming election I don't expect him to contest again in 2031 though since he has told the world that he will only rule a single term. Changing his mind after winning the election would amount to dishonesty and crookedness and that should not be supported by any man or woman of conscience.

By the way, if Tinubu or any southerner win this election the South will have ruled for two consecutive terms of 8 years and it will definitely be the turn of the North to rule for another 8 years. Let's try and be fair in all our dealings to avoid creating unnecessary problems.

I didn't say banks service withdrawals alone but I get your point though.

Sure, there are some rare transactions that are better done by going to the bank like when you need the bank to fund your business or some big projects. But such transactions are less than 10% of what banks do. Over 90% of transactions people go to bank to do are things they could have done at the comfort of their home or office.

Banks are not meant to service withdrawals alone. Brick and Mortar addresses do a whole of lot of other businesses.. just think contracts alone amongst all other numerous things. A whole of lot of people have reasons to walk into bank branches to conduct, finance and expand their businesses and ventures.

If majority of Nigerians were like me banks would have shut down most of their physical branches. I can't remember the last time I entered the banking hall for any kind of transaction.

I do 100% of my transfers via mobile app. 100% of withdrawal via ATM. 100% of my complaint via email or the bank's social media handles.

I only go to bank if they insist my physical presence is a must before the issue can be successfully resolved. And that happens ONCE IN A DEEP BLUE MOON!

This is the kind of thinking that is keeping Nigeria underdeveloped up till now. Your only concern is that the person must have held a political position before but the person's achievement and track record in whatever field he work should be the most important yardstick.

I see no reason why a brilliant medical doctor who is well-known for excellence and have achieved some breakthrough in medical practices should not be voted for irrespective of whether he has held a political position before or not. The same thing applies to famous engineers, academicians and any famous person in any field of endeavour who is known for excellence, hard work and integrity. They all deserve to be voted into any political office of their choice. Prior experience in a political position should be immaterial unless the person has a track record of excellence and integrity.

I always wonder, between a governor or president who have built little or not infrastructure to his name but leave office without any debt and the ones that build massive, world class infrastructure but with debt that will take eternity to pay off; which one is better for the citizens? But I like to believe the owners of eNaira were being overconfident and unrealistic about what would be the outcome of the judgement otherwise they should have been the one asking for out-of-court settlement knowing that CBN has a upper hand in the case because of the name 'Naira' they are using there.

The Judge is right to make those observations. The judge is however wrong to make eNaira payment solutions pay damages to Cbn.

Cbn should have been made to pay compensation to him as the first and legally named user of the portfolio and afterwards they retract the name from him. That way no hard feelings.

This should’ve been an out of court settlement where all parties quietly resolve things

Akwa Ibom State always stand out when it comes to cheating and marginalising the minority tribes. Why would the government move the port from the original location in Ibaka whose people are one of the minority tribes to another location belonging to one of the majority/dominant tribes and rename it? Why is Akwa Ibom like this?

Anytime that someone mentions the Lekki Deep Sea Port, someone will mention the Ibom Port and claim that the government or some unnamed people are "frustrating it". They don't name the people, but you have an idea of who they are referring to.

Those people do not know what they are talking about. The problem with Ibom Port reminds me of the issues that stalled the Olokola Free Trade Zone in Ogun and Ondo States.

The community in the original location (Ibaka) then sued the Akwa Ibom State Government and everybody involved in the project in order to stop the relocation. And that's actually what is delaying construction of the Ibom Port.

China Harbour Engineering Company, the company responsible for both the Lekki Port (remember that I told you that Governor Tinubu went to China and Singaport to seek for investors in the Lekki Free Zone in the year 2000) and the Ibom Port says that it is still interested in the project, but it can't do anything now due to the lawsuit.
