Based on my experience, I think it’s okay to go over and beyond in representing your case thoroughly in case of a review. kemdup: Your cover letter was too much , cover letter is not compulsory Document so if is more than two to 3 pages the ECO might not read it all is better to make it short and address the main issues! Cos they have others to attend to . So is it better to always go straight to the point ! Sorry about the refusal |

Yes, all addressed with relevant evidence. Sure will. You are a gem! Thank you 🙏🏾 maziemeka2024: You can attach it. Though they will still access the application with your ID.
What was the previous refusal based on? Are you sure you have corrected all that was given as reason and the circumstances have changed.
If you are sure, then give it a shot. |

Good morning, thank you for the tips. Yes I have been refused before in 2023 and I clearly addressed each line item in my cover letter. The entire refusal was anchored on the inexistent refusal letter on the said date. I included quite a number of evidence. I’ll add both the screenshot of the refusal and the list of documents included below. Just to confirm, would I need to include the refusal letter and documents uploaded for the original application? maziemeka2024: Of course the letter will be titled as Preaction letter.
State your name on passport and application number.
State what happened, what you believe is wrong and what you want to be done.
Make it simple.
You should get the first response within 14 days.
We're you refused before? Was date of refusal the only error? Was that the only reason for refusal?
They might stick to the decision at the end or turn it around in your favour. It all depends on how solid your case is. If you have met all the requirements to be qualified for a Visa and the officer made a mistake.

I am not going to bother re-applying , UK is not all there is to see in the world and 8 months is totally worth waiting for to get justice. I just need guidance on how best to pursue it and how to write my PAP letter properly. maziemeka2024: This process could take up to 8 months to resolve. If you are patient enough you can try, else you can reapply addressing this. |

Thank you so much for all your help , you are really a treasure. I have no idea either + I never applied or got refused on the quoted date. The one I had from 2023, I clearly addressed in the cover letter backed with evidence for each line item in the refusal. I plan to send in a Pre action protocol next week challenging the decision as it was made on false evidence or allegations in direct contravention of: UK Visas and Immigration Entry Clearance Basics, ECB10.5 Burden of proof as published on the 28 November 2013. Let’s see if that rattles the box or not. I’ll be sure to keep you updated. Cashmadam: Sorry about this. I wonder what went wrong? |

Hi Atinukemi23, Did you prepare the Pre-Action letter by yourself? Atinukemi23: l
We challenged the ECO decision last month for reconsideration, like I said previously it is not all the ECO that knows what he or she is doing, some roasted me for that statement, I have seen so many refusals that made absolute no sense, they are humans, they have hormones too we have the bad eggs among them who just refuse you based on flimsy excuse(s). I didn’t take the second refusal likely, as there was no difference between the previous refusal which was last year, and the this recent one and it is based on financial grounds( enough sufficient funds with proof). (Looked more like a copy and paste to me ) Pre action protocol (PAP) was sent to the home office giving them 14days to reconsider before taking it further to court for JR. They responded on the 14th day and yes a senior caseworker in his/ her right senses looked at the evidence submitted and he/she did agreed it was sufficient enough to grant the entry clearance visiting visa in the first place. If we had accepted fate and re - apply the third time it MAY be refused again and that is too much dent, although they claim every new application(s) is decided based on its merit but I do not want to believe they do not look at your past history with them in concluding. So fingers crossed on when my aunt and her children will be asked to bring their passports, it shouldn’t take up to 3months sha. Sometimes you just have to push some buttons. Don’t let the refusal bring you down, but first, do the right thing. And good luck to everyone. |

Sent a paid email yesterday and finally got a decision today. Glad to get my passport back at least so I can plan my holiday. I will send in a complaint later when I get back since I never applied or got refused a visa on the 22/01/2024 to start with. Here is what the refusal says: REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0 You have applied for a visa to visit the UK. In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for visitors ( https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-rules), I have considered: • your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it • your immigration history The decision I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 of Appendix V because: You were recently refused a visa in the same category as this application on 22/01/2024. I am not satisfied that you have adequately addressed any of the concerns detailed in the Notice of Refusal that was issued to you. When an application is refused, the applicant is invited to reapply if their personal circumstances change significantly between now and the next application; or they provide compelling new documents with the next application. I have considered the evidence contained in your application. However, I am satisfied that your personal circumstance has not changed, and although you have submitted extra documents, I do not consider that it provides any further compelling evidence in support of your application. All of this means that, on the balance of probabilities, I am not satisfied that you have accurately presented your circumstances or intentions in wishing to visit the UK now. I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor or that you intend to leave the UK on completion of your visit. Paragraph V 4.2 (a) (c) of the Immigration Rules. BiyiTudors: Good afternoon everyone, trust you are all having a great day.
My application is taking a long time to get a decision and I already made non refundable bookings for the France part of my trip (also my valid France visa expires in a few weeks), I also have a major project to get back to execute so I can’t move my holiday. Does UK allow temporary passport withdrawal pending when they make a decision so I can go on my France trip while waiting?

Will do, thank you. roak: You might have to mail the embassy on that one.
There's the initial option of keeping your passport while they make a visa decision. But now you've submitted the passport, you best bet would probably be to mail and enquire. |

Thank you for your response, I did my biometrics on the 3rd, got an acknowledgement email for longer processing time on the 6th then my bank charged me for embassy verification on Tuesday (14th). I have a flight out on the 28th and it is going to be tight to move my schedule around. I’ll follow your advice and see what happens. Thank you 🙏🏾 Cashmadam: You can call to lodge a complaint. If it's been processed, you will not get a refund. depending on when you did your biometrics, I reckon you should get your passport next week or the upper week. They don't have a lot of applications and it shouldn't take too long. If you can wait another week, it should be out. |

Hi Opeyemi007, How did you get it overturned? Opeyemi007: Visa Alert I had a 6 months visa that expired in November. I visited the UK Thrice Biometrics date March 11 (Priority) Collection date March 18. Visa duration 2 years.
I didn't do a lot of things I did in the first application; I didn't pay myself any salary( I spent a lot of £ in the last trip to UK/EU), so I stated that I have been reinvesting my profit into my business, and since most of my bills are prepaid, I didn't need the extra money. My family support went out of my business account.
I had a turnover of 308M, and 12M balance in my corporate account. I submitted a screenshot of my Trustwallet balance showing my crypto holding. My personal account had #5k. I submitted a four year business account statement to give them a full picture of my finances, and one year for my personal account. I added my revolut account too, I had £1k there.
My Budget was £3500.00
I didn't book any hotel for the application, I stated I'll make plans when I get a decision for the application. My itinerary is NG-USA-CANADA-UK-NG.
I had three prior refusals, I was refused the fourth time(I challenged this and got it overturned). That Visa changed everything for me. Since my last application, I have gotten Schengen, US, Canada visas. If you feel your visa refusal makes no sense, you should challenge it rather than applying again which could lead to another refusal.
Thanks to all the contributors here. |

Hi Cashmadam, please kindly do not take it to heart. Even Jesus was crucified by the people he came to save. You are highly appreciated, keep up the good work 👏🏾 Cashmadam: Dear Jay - or whatever you call yourself. Usually, I would ignore your type. However, I will repsond to you only once and will no longer pay attention to whatever you choose to say.
1. Nobody (including my humble self) owes you any response. 2. Responses are a form of CSR (check online to know the meaning of CSR as I'm sure you are not intelligent enough to know) 3. If anyone's response does not go down well with you, you are free to ignore it 4. Never in your entire life should you disrespect anyone online. I don't know you and you don't know me. 5. If you choose to disrespect me for trying to help, I promise you one thing. By the grace of Almighty God that I serve, you will not get that visa - unless you repent and apologize for your misbehaviour. 6. I am not God and cannot determine your destiny. However, because you chose to repay my good with evil, I will report you to God and He will deal with you appropriately. 7. If you need expert advise, hire an immigration lawyer 8. Hi JaySterling, I believe she was only trying to help by sharing her honest opinion with you. There are other ways to seek redress than being rude. Look at what she is saying objectively and try to adjust your application, good luck 👍🏾. Well, I have bus and hotel receipts for those trips, I’m just trying to make sure I stay within the context of the question on the Application form and not shoot myself in the foot by including two countries when I have visa sticker and stamps from just one if you get what I mean. I think I’ll just stay away from the UK at this point, the mental gymnastics is exhausting. Cashmadam: Yes. You should be sceptical if you are not saying the truth. It's not difficult to prove these things you know.. |

Thank you very much for these tips. This would mean my budget would include flights and sum up to £2000, which is 7x my disposable income. Would this be a red flag? Cashmadam: Good evening.
1. How are you the MD and Head, Digital? This might be an issue for the visa officer.. 2. You can include a copy of your French visa - not just the visa number 3. Personal Information section is confusing me. Keep it short, sharp and simple. Information overload will confuse the visa officer. I get the general gist - you save in Dollars. Explain that in a very simple way. If I'm confused, the visa officer too may be confused. 4. You are not required to buy a ticket to get your visa. In fact, visa applicants are told not to buy a ticket before they get the visa. This information will not be helpful for your application and might actually make you look unnecessarily desperate. |
