earthrealm:Interesting, had no idea. Thanks I'll see if Samsung has the same. |
earthrealm:I'm not sure Thermocool makes inverter ACs. I'm more of a Samsung person, but they don't make these highly energy efficient models like the LG Gencool. Which is the only reason I even looked at LG in the first place but reviews on thier Gencool models seem to be good thus far |
earthrealm:Thanks. They gave a N9,300 installation quote. Excluding kit. I think I'll just use my guy. |
earthrealm:Did you have it installed by thier Installers ? Contemplating using a third party instead of waiting for thiers |
ToryWoods:I need $200, can you do 315 |
hi, could you give a quote for 10 pcs of this ? https://www.amazon.com/Lucas-LUC10026-Ounce-Octane-Boost/dp/B000ARTZPE/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1ZGVORS1LJ6YV&keywords=lucas+oil+octane+booster&qid=1553025668&s=gateway&sprefix=lucas+oil+o%2Caps%2C336&sr=8-3 |
survivex:Great choice, very solid ride. Avoid Canadian stock...the MDX is not a car you want to buy with rust |
Corrinthians:The hate in your heart will consume you. You couldn't even play along with your hypocritical mumbo jumbo for two seconds before displaying your true colours. You call a fellow human being a "Vile Beast"!!!.....and have the guts to open your trashy mouth to talk about Hate and Christianity. |
alphaNomega:Lol, its kinda funny you're arguing with me about useful cargo space in my own car, a car I use everyday. Its an MDX bro not a beetle. Lol, 1.5 cu ft is a drop in a bucket. And the subwoofer isn't a permanent fixture. I have my cables made into a harness. In the event that I one day have to utilize every sq mm of space in the trunk, it'll take all of 2 seconds to disconnect the harness and remove or relocate the sub.

greenhulk:Stock units are never comparable to high end aftermarket options. You never know what you're missing until you experience more. And I'm not talking about these Android DVD/Navi units sold up and down....yes they bring some added functionality, but the sound quality is subpar in comparison to top brands. What You See is The Kenwood Excelon DDX9904s -Android Auto & Apple Car Play -Capacitive touch screen ( as opposed to resistive touch screens found on most radios) -Supports High Res Audio playback ( FLAC etc) -Major video formats - avi, mp4, mkv -USB support is awesome , NTFS, FAT32, etc ....u can literally connect a 500GB hard drive and enjoy away - not to mention the most important....sound quality Too many great features https://www.crutchfield.com/S-94CaKqWfoy1/p_113DDX9904/Kenwood-Excelon-DDX9904S.html Just Read the "Our take on the Kenwood Excelon DDX9904S" part

alphaNomega:Cargo volume with third row up ...15 Cuft, with third row down... 42.9 Cuft. Subwoofer enclosure ...less than 1.5 Cu ft |
greenhulk:There's a cheap aftermarket steering wheel control module if you want to retain SWC , never had much use for steering controls, so i didn't bother. upgraded to a powered enclosure type Sub. https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosgate-P300-12-Subwoofer-Enclosure/dp/B007AQ2W6W/ref=aw_pd_cart_vw_crc_1_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B007AQ2W6W&pd_rd_r=ZK0ZJCPN15VSD7QNZ6YN&pd_rd_w=yTgKd&pd_rd_wg=uigN0&pf_rd_p=5ea965bb-cb8e-4bc6-a7c1-9a542c380b15&pf_rd_r=ZK0ZJCPN15VSD7QNZ6YN&psc=1&refRID=ZK0ZJCPN15VSD7QNZ6YN

Oh, By the way OP If you do decide to buy the MDX I advice you to take ALOT of time and Do alot of careful searching. The MDX is not as common as the Rxs in Naija, so your search options and pretty limited. Especially if you have high standards. It took 4hrs in Cotonu, Three trips to Berger, and countless weeks scouring the internet with over 6 VIN history reports from computerglobal for me to find one that "kinda" met my standard. -Avoid Canadian stock if you can ( the MDX is not the kinda Car you want to buy with rust problems) -Avoid the Sports Package (if you can) the Active Damping System is expensive to keep stock Speaking of the MDX's sexy Interior Styling.... Sneak Preview of Before and After Photos of My 100% D-I-Y Audio Upgrade, completed sometime in January. speakers, head unit, subwoofer all upgraded. One week of hard work and plenty $$. hopefully I'll find time soon to create a thread with process pictures and setup details.

At OP you need first of all identify what matters the most to you in a car, and the purpose it intends to serve and make your choice along those lines If you're about performance, agressive styling, and road presence. The MDX kills it, while giving you a luxurious and comfortable ride. Read the comparison article in the first link and watch these two videos https://www.thecarconnection.com/car-compare-results/acura_mdx_2008-vs-lexus_rx-350_2008?trims=40026041,40024036 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRQTMf1DddA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTYRLiC15Zw |
Doctorjames:I read some posts and I literally just SMH. Everything Like? ? ? ? ? I'd like to read some very objective, test and research based comparison, not the usual blind sentimental preference. For starters, the Rx330 and the 2nd Gen MDX are not in the same Catergory AT ALLLLL!!!!. . Now... comparing the Rx350 and 2nd Gen MDX, tests and reviews have shown that In... Acceleration - MDX wins Engine Power- MDX wins Handling- MDX wins Luxury/Comfort- MDX wins Safety ratings - MDX wins Traction Control Design - MDX wins So, Asides from better fuel consumption (which is to be expected as the MDX has a bigger, more powerful engine and greater curb weight) and cheaper maintence ( MDX is a premium car, not for the thrifty tho is cheaper to maintain than the rx350 which is in its class) Please tell me with 22 yrs experience how the RX330 betters the 2nd Gen MDX. |
radautoworks:Oh really?? . Had no idea. great stuff |
If you have a high compression engine and you're in the market for a cost effective fuel additive.... Find this. Threw a bottle of this into a 60 litre tank of fuel, and ...OMG!!!, the beast was awoken. Idles quieter, accelerates faster Consumes less After alot of research this came up as one of the "best value" options among the few octance boosters scientifically "proven" to increase octane rating (by up to 3 in this case). Options like the Torco accelerator can increase the octane rating by up to 5 numbers, but those cost an arm and a leg Even though this contains MMT it is still advertised as safe for injectors, cat converters etc. Maybe there are compounds that counter or prevent the Magnesium deposits ?
|
sooperrescue:This should have ended with I sell XYZ octane booster for X price. And yes i agree with your position, not all octane boosters are harmful to injectors and Cat converters. Torco F500010TE accelerator is one, pricey but one of the best |
$50 AGC needed. quote if available |
HeavenlyBang:Very lucky, this was at almost 1 am |
9icetoo:What brand of octane booster do you use? Ever experiment with Toluene? (paint thinner) |
HeavenlyBang:To be honest though, I did some really harsh driving that night. I woke up the next morning and the front passenger side tire pressure was 24 psi |
HeavenlyBang:Gas mileage is horrible, I once got a reading of 11mpg after an intensive drive. Throttle response is still great. Its still a new car though, and I remember I did use an injector cleaner on the third gas purchase at an NNPC station ( the attendant kept marketing the thing, finally bought it) |
9icetoo:The noise is not an aerodynamic one. It sounds like scraping metal ... the type of noise brake pads could make in contact the rotors Yes, 2nd Gen. The quality of product definitely matters, many of these shylock gas stations sell heavily adulterated fuel. I just try to be very careful where i buy products from (NNPC or otherwise) . Not all NNPC stations are run by NNPC or have a honest management for that matter. So NNPC sign post no be guarantee. |

originals1:Still available? |
9icetoo:I haven't had any pinging experience. No rattling at all evn at speeds of up to 100 mph (160km/h) Car is fairly new tho, less than two months. However i notice some type of high pitched screeching sound on high speeds. definitely not from the engine, I'm still unsure what the culprit is. |
rationalmind:That one na small thing, you no talk about the beastly performance and glorious handling. For the performance I get, I would buy the wahala over and over again. I set my mind on quarterly Carbon Cleaning My 2nd gen MDX rides like a f*cking dream. For an SUV of that size the ride is unbelieveably fun and nimble. I cannot wipe the smug look on my face when I'm tearing past showoff drivers , and have them glancing sideways in embarrassment trying to compete in thier shiny new 201x Highlanders and RXs . Had a recent experience last week on the Lagos Ibadan express way. this fx35 comes barreling out of no where and cuts in front of me , styling and speeding like the road King he assumed he was. I just smile....in less than 60 secs the guy was made a believer. |
HazzanTazzan:AGC |
HazzanTazzan:I need $1000 , let me know if you've got some and the rate is decent |
dru23:Do you have filters for the 08 MDX ? |
