I would really appreciate a second opinion on this "issue" do one to need to submit a LOE in their visit application that they gave birth in USA few years ago. One can't say they visited USA for 3 months for vacation as the only reason while filling the form.

Finally.. 2 months later and BVL received last night . PPR this morning..

Thanks for this. I guess, I’ll ignore this application and just pay for another fresh one. Did your friend’s mum do another biometrics for the reapplication. I should add that I went twice to VFS Abuja to complain and they insist it has been transmitted

My friend’s mum had this same issue and she ultimately got denied. They had to re-apply and reach out to people that worked in VFS via LinkedIn before it was resolved. Not to scare you but try to look for contacts at VFS that you can speak directly to. Wish you the best.

I've waited almost a month for biometrics confirmation despite multiple submissions on the web form. VFS claims to have submitted it, but the system shows "application requires biometrics." I've attached the confirmation slip on web form but response is they haven't received it. What else can I do?

Just fill a webform and upload the slip you received from vfs to confirm ur biometrics

I am experiencing same. I noticed Abuja doesn’t have this issue. I am contemplating using drop box in Abuja.

The error message is no dates available in your location (Lagos) I’m now in august still unable to click any of the green dates

look well at the top edge of your browser...there should be an error message that pops up for a few seconds

I’ve been unable to go beyond this step (picture below) I want to book my Dropbox, once I select a green date it keeps coming back to the same page

Why are you here? I said vacation and to have my baby. They took me to another room and I was told to declare my funds for the childbirth.
I showed them my 10k cash explaining that this is the maximum I can travel with but I’ve other funds in my dollar card.

Thought I should share my IW process here.
I initially picked Abuja for my physical interview, filled the form in August 2022. When the 48 months extension news was announced, I was excited but sadly Abuja was really slow, after 10 days (Jan 5-16) of not getting a confirmation email to proceed, I switched to Lagos by creating a new DS 160 form got a new application number which I filled in the CGI portal, within 2 days I got a confirmation email.
My visa expired Feb 6, 2019, so I had to get a date before Feb 6, 2023, on the 19th of January by sheer luck, I got January 24th for document submission.
Timeline
Submission at DHL office VI-Jan 24
Created- Jan 25
Approved- Jan 31
Issued - Feb 3rd.
Picked up- Feb 7th

Hi, you can modify your completed DS 160, fill in your new passport details. Also go to the cgif portal and fill your new DS 160 confirmation number that will show after submission

Also, would I need to travel to Lagos in person to submit my application.

My friend and I Qualified for IW (48months) and I got approval for submission 1st December, 2022. Visa Approved 22nd December and issued 28th December. My friend submitted 2nd December, approved 9th and issued 13th December, 2022.

Just thought I should share this.

Could you share location and how many days after completing the online application did you get the approval to submit email?

Secondly, my receipt is saying invalid, I paid September 2022 and didn’t bother looking for a date then. I’ve now qualified for an interview waiver (48 months).

It’s been 3 weeks of paying my dads’ MRV fees but I’m unable to select a date. Can’t move pass that “visa type” on his account once I click on non-immigrant and it takes me back to the home page and the never ending loop starts.

I regret not reading Nairaland before submitting my passport at the embassy.

My friend and I are going to Netherlands for a vacation she applied at the French embassy Lagos and get this- she got her visa in 8 days!!!!.

It has been over 6 weeks and incompetent Belgian embassy in Abuja has offered nothing. Honestly, I could have just flown down to Lagos and applied.

Never again, if NL says it is bad, then it is bad.

Will probably go retrieve my passport on next week since I will be unable to make the trip.

This is me advising anyone reading this in 2022, to just assume that only Lagos is reliable for Schengen visa application.
