Eritai foundation is just a year old and we are celebrating our anniversary next week Saturday 28 of November.

No fewer than 1000 persons within the Iju Ishaga axis of Lagos State benefitted from the recent Rotary Family Health Awareness programme which held across District 9110.
The programme, hosted by Rotary Club of Iju Spring in collaboration with Eritai Foundation, PowerOil and notable volunteers, lasted for 3 days at the popular Balogun Bus- stop roundabout in Ifako- Ijaiye local government.
The programme officially launched on Thursday 19th of November with many people including the President of Rotary Club of Iju Spring, Akeem Rahmon seizing the opportunity to know their health status.
According to President Akeem, the programme is an annual affair to examine the health challenges of residents, which began on Thursday 19th and ended on Saturday 21st of November.
"For now we are seeing more than 200 and still expecting more. We aim to diagnose the people of this community, look at their major illness and challenges on health grounds so we can know what to offer as a humanitarian organisation. Rotary wants to assist them and we encourage every member of the community to participate. We do it annually, this time we started since Thursday, and today Saturday is the last day, yet we are expecting more to mobilize."

"The Rotary Health Awareness is a community based programme that enables residents to have access to medical tests and supplies. Also check their blood pressure, sugar level and more. We are about people being aware of their health status so as to know what areas might need medical attention.


The experience is wonderful, as you can see the turnout is huge. The aged, the young, all the Rotarians and volunteers working hand in hand to make the project a huge success to the glory of God. This is not my first time, as a young Rotaractor back then, occasions like this come up at specified intervals and goes around every Rotary Club under the District 9110 jurisdiction. With all that combined effort, we gain more awareness. Synergizing everything will create optimal result.


Health is wealth, always go for tests, medical screening because there are some silent diseases. It is always good to know your status, you dont have to be sick, just do it at intervals and occasions"


Many happy participants and impressed passersby sang praises of Rotary's Family Health Awareness Project- including a Septuagenarian whose many children and grandkids benefited from the programme. And in response, Rotarian Olaore Ibukunoluwa in a levelheaded manner described the experience as Rotarians being in their element.


"Well, the whole experience is not new to me, I'm used to it. This is not my first time attending or participating in programmes like this. I'm a Rotarian, all about selfless service and it's me doing this. It's me doing this.


I'm fulfilled that my people are being attended to and they are being taken care of, everybody is happy. We all should be concerned about our health and be conversant with our body system. Everything is not about money, coming to this programme did not cost a dime, just their time. So little time can save lives."

Humans will only die in accidents, never of natural causes or illness, by around the year 2045, say Cordeiro and Wood, who say it is 'crucial' that old age starts to be classified as an 'illness' so that publicly-funded research into its 'cure' can extend.

Nanotechnology is key, among other new genetic manipulation techniques, the engineers said during the presentation at Barcelona's Equestrian Circle.

Cordeiro and Wood believe that within 10 years, illnesses such as cancer will be curable, and that major international corporations such as Google will be 'entering the field of medicine' because they are 'beginning to realise that curing ageing is possible'.

Microsoft has reportedly already announced the setting up of a cryopreservation centre in which a scientist is researching the possibility of cancer being completely curable within a decade.

The engineers explain that, although 'people generally do not know about it', it was discovered in 1951 how cancer cells are immortal: when Henrietta Lacks died from cervical cancer, surgeons removed the tumour and kept it – and it is still 'alive' today.

Immortality will not necessarily mean the planet becomes overcrowded, the scientists say: there is still plenty of room for more people on Earth, and these days, people do not have anywhere near as many children as they did in past decades and centuries; plus, 'it will be possible to live in space by then'.

“Japan and the Koreas, if they continue with their current trend of hardly having any children, will become extinct – within two centuries, there'll be no Japanese or Korean people on the planet,” Cordeiro says.

“But thanks to these new techniques, there will indeed be Japanese and Korean people, because they'll live forever and remain young.”

The cost of anti-ageing treatment was compared to that of the latest SmartPhones.

“At first, it'll be expensive, but with a competitive market the price will gradually fall because it'll be something that benefits everyone,” Cordeiro says.

“Technology, when it's new, is poor and extremely expensive, but it eventually becomes democratic and mainstream and becomes cheaper.”

The engineers say they have already been employing their techniques for two years – illegally, but in Colombia where there are fewer regulations covering genetic manipulation.

Elisabeth Parrish, their first human patient, 'started to see symptoms of ageing and asked what could be done to prevent it'.

Her treatment is 'very risky and even illegal', Wood explains, but at the moment is going well, has not had any adverse side-effects, and the level of telomeres in her blood is '20 years younger than before'.

Series 4 - The Brideprice (Part 2): How much is the Brideprice?

How wonderful that we can be chosen to be the Bride of Christ!




It was in the Garden of Gethsemane that the real agony began. For three years our Lord Jesus had known that he was to be the sacrificial Lamb that “takes away the sins of the world.” Gethsemane means olive press. The olives were placed between two huge millstones and squeezed until every drop of oil was extracted. In that garden surrounded by olive trees and sleeping disciples Jesus was pressed beyond measure. He was in mental agony as He faced the ordeal ahead. Not only that, he was greatly afraid; in fact He was so fearful that He sweat great drops of blood. Imagine! Why was He afraid? Let us not forget that though He was fully God He was also fully man. He was about to be MADE SIN. He was to take on your sin, my sin and the sins of billions of others. “He who knew no sin was MADE SIN that we might become the righteousness of God.” The weight of our sin was so fearful that it nearly killed Him. That is why His Father had to send angels to strengthen him. How poignant that his only friends in the garden were the angels.

“He who knew no sin was MADE SIN that we might become the righteousness of God.”

Now strengthened for torture ahead he arose to meet His accusers. It was probably 9pm on the Thursday evening..
Throughout the night He was pushed from pillar to post enduring scoffing, ribaldry, the painful betrayal by Peter and 4 mock trials. By 6am Friday He was before Pilate accused of high treason. Pilate could find no fault in Him but capitulated to the mob. Jesus had already been publicly humiliated; His beard had been pulled out, He was hit on the head, slapped on the face, spat upon, dressed as a King and mocked. His crown was made of thorns some nine inches long, rammed onto His head causing the blood to flow down His face. Now he was stripped naked to be scourged. He was bound to a post and a leather whip with many thongs loaded with lead, spikes and bones was lashed upon His back thirty nine times. All the flesh was torn from His back. This was the ‘intermediate death.’


As He shouldered the cross to ascend to Golgotha He was already dying. Loss of blood and the weight of the cross caused Him to collapse. He had neither eaten nor drunk since the supper with the disciples. On that upward climb He thought of YOU. He thought of me.

“For the joy that was set before him Jesus endured the cross and despised the shame.”What was that joy? THAT JOY WAS YOU AND ME. HE WAS PAYING OUR BRIDE PRICE. For we have not been redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold….. but with the precious blood of Jesus as of a lamb without spot or blemish. (1Peter 1:18,19) ‘As a lamb led to the slaughter so opened He not his mouth.”

SIX DREADFUL HOURS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD

From 12noon to 3pm thick darkness covered Jerusalem. These were the three most distressing hours any individual has ever endured. It was then the Father left, abandoning His Son to His fate. The Holy Spirit withdrew. There was deep silence in heaven. The angels watched in horror. For those three hours Jesus was MADE SIN. God the Father cannot look on sin. He is the thrice-Holy God who ‘dwells in light unapproachable.’ ‘Not only was the earth darkened but Jesus Himself entered into darkness: Body, Soul and Spirit. He cries out in anguish, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?”


As the devil and all his demons danced round, Jesus became the ultimate atonement; our Kinsman Redeemer.

Sin is not a pretty sight; it is vile, abominable and it stinks. “I am a worm and no man; a reproach, despised by the people. All who see Me ridicule Me.” On the cross the beauty of Jesus was made ugly by sin. I find it hard to describe how disgusting He became. All I know is that the sight was so ghastly that God had to cover him who was covered in sin, with thick darkness, as He hung alone suspended between heaven and hell.

He died of a ruptured, broken heart.
Can we say that sin killed Him- our sin? The songwriter says, ‘He died my death; He paid my price that I may live.’

The Centurion marvelled that He could die so quickly. Just to make sure he took his lance and plunged it into his victim’s lungs and heart. Out of the corpse flowed blood and water. “Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.”

And that is how the Bride, the church of God, was born.
“Unless a man is born of water and of blood, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.”

Some four thousand years ago the Lord God caused His son, Adam, to fall into a deep painless sleep. From the side of His sleeping son He took a rib and fashioned it into Ishah, a woman; a helper suitable and commensurate with him; a bride whom he could love and cherish. A bride who would bring him joy. Together they would rule, reign and have dominion. Together they would be fruitful and multiply.

And so from the tortured body of the Second Adam was born a beautiful helper commensurate with her Lord: an earthly bride for a heavenly Bridegroom. The bride is you. The bride is me.

The price? The greatest mental, emotional, physical and spiritual torment that has ever been known.

What a Saviour!

“Greater love has no man than this that a Man lay down His life for His friends.”

Series 4 - The Brideprice (Part 2): How much is the Brideprice?
Dear Friends,

How wonderful that we can be chosen to be the Bride of Christ!




It was in the Garden of Gethsemane that the real agony began. For three years our Lord Jesus had known that he was to be the sacrificial Lamb that “takes away the sins of the world.” Gethsemane means olive press. The olives were placed between two huge millstones and squeezed until every drop of oil was extracted. In that garden surrounded by olive trees and sleeping disciples Jesus was pressed beyond measure. He was in mental agony as He faced the ordeal ahead. Not only that, he was greatly afraid; in fact He was so fearful that He sweat great drops of blood. Imagine! Why was He afraid? Let us not forget that though He was fully God He was also fully man. He was about to be MADE SIN. He was to take on your sin, my sin and the sins of billions of others. “He who knew no sin was MADE SIN that we might become the righteousness of God.” The weight of our sin was so fearful that it nearly killed Him. That is why His Father had to send angels to strengthen him. How poignant that his only friends in the garden were the angels.

Now strengthened for torture ahead he arose to meet His accusers. It was probably 9pm on the Thursday evening..
Throughout the night He was pushed from pillar to post enduring scoffing, ribaldry, the painful betrayal by Peter and 4 mock trials. By 6am Friday He was before Pilate accused of high treason. Pilate could find no fault in Him but capitulated to the mob. Jesus had already been publicly humiliated; His beard had been pulled out, He was hit on the head, slapped on the face, spat upon, dressed as a King and mocked. His crown was made of thorns some nine inches long, rammed onto His head causing the blood to flow down His face. Now he was stripped naked to be scourged. He was bound to a post and a leather whip with many thongs loaded with lead, spikes and bones was lashed upon His back thirty nine times. All the flesh was torn from His back. This was the ‘intermediate death.’


As He shouldered the cross to ascend to Golgotha He was already dying. Loss of blood and the weight of the cross caused Him to collapse. He had neither eaten nor drunk since the supper with the disciples. On that upward climb He thought of YOU. He thought of me.

“For the joy that was set before him Jesus endured the cross and despised the shame.”What was that joy? THAT JOY WAS YOU AND ME. HE WAS PAYING OUR BRIDE PRICE. For we have not been redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold….. but with the precious blood of Jesus as of a lamb without spot or blemish. (1Peter 1:18,19) ‘As a lamb led to the slaughter so opened He not his mouth.”

Forerunning the Sunday lecture on the Spirit of Jezebel- (continuation of Unmasking the Spirit series by Rev. Olufemi Bajomo), was Pastor Mrs. Yemisi Bajomo of New Covenant Church- Iju, who genuinely emphasized on how much Heaven is Real, before posing the million dollar question.

Why do you come to Church?

"The ultimate reason is to make heaven, though some come to church for solutions to their problems. Truth is we cannot sustain ourselves in this world. God has been my sustenance because a dead man cannot thank him. So we welcome everybody to church this morning" she summed up before welcoming the choir onstage for ministrations

Rev. Olufemi Bajomo warmly began his sermon with special thanks to the Lord who saw us through the previous week and may we see his grace refreshed.

"Its been an eventful year in all expressions and He will conclude this year with us on a glorious note. Favor will begin to unfold in a different dimension. A touch of favor brings about remarkable turnaround" then Pastor Bajomo began to Unmask the Spirit of Jezebel, who has graduated from operating in the palace to now operating in the church. "All the spirits of end times shall not find pattern in our lives" he quipped.
