In that year, she celebrated/hosted her grand twins, but this time around she felt within herself to extend the celebration and make it a bit elaborated to involve every other twins within the community. The event is planned to be established as an annual one.

This was made known through her grandson, Dr. Toyin Aborisade, an outstanding businessman, humanitarian so passionate about overall developmental cause of Eruku City.

The amiable chief executive officer of Phemnik Group contacted his media aide Oluwaseun BethNews and said he would like to always sponsor this great event since his grandmother has decided to make it an annual twins celebrations.

Additionally, as long as his grandmother Iye Ajibabi would love to do anything that will always make herself happy, he said he has no option but to rather give her the maximum support she desired.

Speaking to his media aide Oluwaseun BethNews on a phone conversation that lasted for about 10 minutes, Dr. Oluwatoyin Aborisade, MD/CEO Phemnick Life Support made it known and confided in his media aide, that he will always make his grandmother happy as he would be the official host of this annual twins festival celebrations, saying further, this year's twins get-together would take place at Iye Phemnick House in Oke-Ado compound, Erukucity come Wednesday 28th December 2022.

To cap it up, Iye Zacchaeus Ajibabi will officially unveil twins annual get-together as she' s inviting all twins within Eruku community to be present in making the celebration a remarkable and unforgettable one.

Houston PD says they've made an arrest in the shooting death of Takeoff.

Prosecutors say in court docs that Patrick Xavier Clark applied for an expedited passport right after Takeoff's murder by submitting an itinerary for a flight to Mexico. When he was arrested, prosecutors say he had received the passport and had a large sum of cash on him.

Popular Lagos pastor and Founder of Grace Nation International, aka. the Liberation City, Pastor Chris Okafor has finally come out to dispel the spurious and libelous claims slammed on him by a lecturer, Philip Anochie who claimed that Pastor Okafor gave his wife a false prophecy about his plan to make their daughter go mad.

The blackmail made on some online media platforms like theeagleonline.com, qed.com among others also stated that Pastor Okafor is housing the wife in an unknown address. The online reports also alleged that the wife has filed a divorce in the High Court in Ota, Ogun State.

Trek Africa Newspaper can confirm that Pastor Chris Okafor doesn’t have a direct relationship with them. It is also worth pointing out if the purported prophecy that he wants to kill their daughter was made in secret or in the open church if perhaps the woman is a member of the Grace Nation congregation. Is there a video evidence or any other proof where the purported prophecy was made?

On the issue of a supposed apartment that Anochie accused Pastor Okafor, the clergyman wondered if the man has the receipt of the house that he claimed the pastor rented for his wife. It is nothing but immaturity on the part of Mr. Anochie and the story is nothing but a cock and bull story.

The second edition of the Nigerian Army Inter-Formation Platoon Combat Swimming Championship today opened in the swimming pool of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. Hosted by the Nigerian Army, 81 Division Lagos, the championship is being competed among seven Army divisions and the Army HQ Garrison, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report. They are 1 DIV Kaduna, 2 DIV Ibadan, 3 DIV Jos, 6 DIV Port Harcourt, 8 DIV Sokoto, 81 DIV Lagos, 82 DIV Enugu, and Army HQ Garrison Abuja.

The 4-day-long competition which will close in Badagry on 1st December, 2022 is to improve combat proficiency, leadership skills, and team work as well as an avenue to identify training gaps and weaknesses. The first edition of the championship held in 1 DIV Kaduna last year. The competition fits into COAS Faruk Yahaya's vision 'to have a
Professional Army ready to accomplish assigned mission within a joint
environment in the defence of Nigeria'.

Declaring the championship open, the Special Guest of Honour and Commander, Corps of Nigerian Army Engineers, Maj. Gen. KO Kadiri who represented the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya at the event noted that swimming is a sport that develops the whole physical and mental health of the body. He added that swimming is encouraged for anybody who wishes to join the Army. 'It is also important in the marine and riverine environments where we have soldiers operating', he told NAOSNP.

In his opening remarks read on behalf of the COAS Faruk Yahaya, Maj. Gen. KO Kadiri affirmed: 'The Inter-Formation Platoon Combat Swimming Championship is designed to improve the physical and mental abilities of the participants with a view to reinforcing the overall combat preparedness of our troops. By the same token, it would enhance their fighting efficiency and performance in the field. This is with a view to preparing participating troops for a variety of tasks towards addressing contemporary security challenges.'

'As you are all aware, the Nigerian Army, sister Services and indeed other security agencies are currently involved in multiple single service, joint and combined operations to combat terrorism, banditry, kidnapping for ransom, cultism, piracy and oll theft among others. These operations call for highest standards of fitness and training to stay ahead of the criminals. In this regard, the Nigerian Army has placed high premium in qualitative training of its personnel across board.'

On the swimming activities, Maj. Gen. Kadiri said: 'The conventional and combat swimming events that have been lined up in this Championship will therefore equip troops with skills to conduct operations optimally especially in riverine and amphibious terrains. It is also in furtherance of the vision of the Chief of Army Staff which is to have 'A Professional Nigerian Army Ready to Accomplish Assigned Missions within a Joint Environment in Defence of Nigeria. Having sald this, I will like to implore the participants to compete keenly in all events and showcase their skills. Ultimately, this exercise will promote esprit-de-corps and strengthen the existing comradeship amongst you, additional to other benefits. Therefore, I urge you to conduct yourselves professionally throughout the competition.'

The Commander of the Nigerian Army Engineers then thanked 'the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, for his inspirational leadership of the Nigerian Army.'

In his welcome address, the Host of the championship, the General Officer Commanding 81 DIV, Maj. Gen. Obinna C. Ajunwa said that the competition is an essential part ot military training. 'Therefore, I will like to enjoin the participants to bring out the best in them. The objectives of this year's Championship are to improve fitness for combat, engender junior leadership and promote use of initiative as well as esprit de corps among NA personnel. Additionally, it would strengthen the swimming skills of the
participants and also better prepare them for operations in amphibious and riverine environments. Without mincing words, I believe new lessons will be learnt during this Championship. These lessons must be used by participants to sharpen their professional competency and skills.'

'I want to call on all competitors to play by the rule of fair play. You are enjoined to shun any act of indiscipline while in Lagos State. Though Musk faced backlash for the surprise firings, he maintained that the company offered those affected a severance package.

A Lagos mobile court has jailed for three months, a 32 year old environmental offender, Abubakar Sanni, who posed under the guise of cart pushing, to vandalise and steal iron rods at Karim Kotun area of Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the LAWMA Director of Public Affairs, Mrs. Folashade Kadiri stated that, "A Lagos mobile court at Bolade Oshodi, headed by magistrate T. O. Fashina, has jailed for three months (3-months) a 32 year old environmental offender, Abubakar Sanni, who posed under the guise of cart pushing, to vandalise and steal iron rods at Karim Kotun area of Victoria Island, Lagos."

According to the statement, "The Managing Director/CEO of LAWMA, Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, made this known on Saturday, following the apprehension and prosecution of the cart pusher."

He said, “The Authority wants to make it clear that cart pushing remains outlawed in the state. The menace of cart pushers has led to the rise of indiscriminate waste disposal, coupled with the fact that criminal elements now hide under it to perpetuate their crimes”.

Odumboni noted that the Authority, since the inception of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, had introduced various programmes and initiatives aimed at making Lagos cleaner and livable for all, as well as empowering PSP operators, to effectively discharge their statutory duties.

“Since the present administration assumed office, we have taken definite steps towards addressing waste management challenges in the state. One of such was, absorbing many of the outlawed cart pushers into the business of recycling, so as to preserve their livelihood. However, this magnanimous gesture of government shouldn’t be taken for granted,” he stated.

The LAWMA boss reminded the general public of the current offensive on all forms of environmental infractions, adding that the agency would not fold its hands and watch some people destroy efforts targeted at making the environment in the state a sustainably cleaner one, adding that anyone caught contravening the Environmental Laws would face the full wrath of the law.

“Our enforcement team has been repositioned to monitor the environment across the metropolis and ensure that environmental defaulters are arrested and prosecuted. Currently, some offenders have been arrested and prosecuted for various infractions. This will serve as a deterrent to those bent on eroding the recent gains made on environment,” he said.

Odumboni renewed his plea for environmental friendliness, urging residents to embrace the culture of bagging and containerising their waste, and patronising assigned PSP operators instead of cart pushers, who engage in indiscriminate dumping of refuse at road medians, canals and other unauthorised locations.

Residents were also admonished to call LAWMA toll-free lines 07080601020 and 617, for all complaints and inquiries on waste management related matters in their area.

The acting Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Isah Jere Idris has for the umpteenth time warned Nigerians to disregard 'spurious public notices circulating in some social media platforms announcing a general recruitment/replacement exercise into the Service' noting that the fake announcements are the handiwork of scammers. The acting CG stated this, through a press statement, shared with the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Service's PRO, Amos Okpu.

The press release noted: 'The acting Comptroller General therefore wishes to use this opportunity to enjoin members of the public to avoid falling into the antics of fraudulent job merchants who are out there to deceive them with empty promises of job placement into the Service. He stressed that the Service has always used all the conventional and notable social media means including its website to announce recruitment exercises rather than the pedestrian approach used by the authors of the deceitful recruitment notices.'

'Suffice it be stated clearly that the Service is currently NOT undertaking any recruitment exercise whatsoever and so the public is hereby advised to ignore any such publications', the statement added.

The acting CG assured that efforts are ongoing to track down those behind such fraudulent publications with the aim of bringing them to justice.

A frontline security news group, the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), in conjunction with the Nigerian Police Force, Zone 2 Command, Lagos, has concluded plans to host a one day capacity building training programme on security reporting for journalists and other media stakeholders.

The programme, according to a statement signed by the Association's Public Relations Officer Mr Eric Elezuo, is scheduled to hold at the prestigious Golden Gate Restaurant, in the heart of Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday, May 11, 2021.

The statement quoted the president of the group, Mr Samson Oki, as saying that the workshop will avail journalists and media practitioners the opportunity to get firsthand the rudiments of reporting security related matters, especially as the country is currently facing security issues, and call on media men including photojournalists, correspondents, editors, reporters and publishers alike to take advantage of the rare opportunity.

The PRO, also informed that notable media veterans and security experts in various fields of endeavours will be on hand to educate participants from the wells of security knowledge, as well as proffer solutions to the myriads of security challenges bedeviling the country presently.

Among those shortlisted for the event are the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lagos State Government, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, CEO, Badinson Security, Mr Matthew Ibadin; Chairman, NBA-SPIDEL, Dr Monday Ubani; Executive Director, Media Development Network, Mr. Lekan Otufodunrin, Founder of Journalism NG and ICT Expert, Mr. Tunji Makanjuola among others.

If a lawyer who is trained to offer defence for people is defenceless, what do we expect to happen to a common Nigerian who has little or no book knowledge of the law. This is the case of a learned fellow, Barr. Friday Osiziate Akpeji who was brutalized and sustained major injuries in the hands of Police officers who are aiding and abetting criminals in Meiran, Lagos in May 2021. Till date, one year later, Barr. Friday Osiziate Akpeji is yet to get justice. Infact, the case has not been charged to court, Trek Africa Newspaper can reliably report.

Other members of The Bar are calling out through various mediums. The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) has urged the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba to intervene. The members of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Epe branch are also begging for justice for one of its committed members.

In a letter dated 12th April 2022 addressed to the DIG, Federal Criminal Investigation Department FCID, Alagbon, Lagos stated that sometime in May 2021, Barr. Akpeji 'In the course of his duties as a lawyer, our member submitted a petition of THREAT TO LIFE, DREADED CULTIST, ARMED ROBBER, DRUGS DEALER AND KIDNAPPER from his clients, Mr. ANDRE PATRICK UBI AND Mr. NWACHUKWU CHIKWADO against one Mr. SAIDI AREMO (A.k.a Gucci) before the Meiran police station with an acknowledge copy duly stamped and our member was called on the 15th June 2021 by one Supol BOLA attached to Meiran police station to come and make a statement, that the petition had been approved and the suspect was in custody.
That on his way to the station the suspects and his cohorts about 9:00 am of the same day attacked our member at Ile-Iwe, last bus stop, Meiran, the street beside the Meiran police division.'

The letter continued: 'That Mr Aremo Saidi, Mr. Monsuru aka organizing and their cohorts took our member to an uncompleted building on the same street, beat me to stupor, threatened to kill him, kept him in their custody from 9:00 am till 5:00Pm and demanded for a ransom of #4.5 million (Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira). Mr Aremo saidi, Mr. Monsuru A.k.a Organizing and their cohots informed our member that they would kill him and dump his corpse in the nearby canal, denied him access to his 3 (three) phones, 2 (two) iPhone x worth over #700,000.00 (seven hundred thousand naira) and 1 (one) Sony Ericson phone worth #20,000 twenty thousand naira only, the Sony Ericson was later handed over to him at the police station but our member never got the 2 (two) Iphones back.'

'Our member was put under pressure in the suspect’s custody and was forced to call his in-law who paid #10,000 (ten thousand naira) and another N50,000.00 (fifty thousand naira) subsequently to Mr Aremo saidi, Mr. Monsuru A.k.a Organizing and their cohots by his brother.
That at about 5:00 pm Supol Bola who conspired with the suspect came in disguise of his rescue and led him to the station, whereas sopol Bola and Insp. Olabode are beneficiaries of the suspect's drugs business at Oja Market, the adjoining street beside Meiran police station'

Adding more facts to the complicity of Nigeria Police in the matter, the letter shared: 'That when the suspect was making his statement at the Meiran police station another Officer excused our member out for a discussion on coming back he met Supol. Bola and Insp. Olabode doctoring the statement of the suspect (Mr. Aremo) after which the suspect was granted administrative bail even before our member left the police station.
That Supol Bola conspired with the suspects, had intention to kill and did kidnap our member, he sent our member’s petition to the suspects (Mr Aremo saidi), which they showed our member on Mr Aremo’s phone while he was under kidnap and torture.
That the parties where asked to come back on Monday 19th July 2021 but the greatest surprise our member was there and the suspect never showed up', NBA Epe branch revealed.

The Human Rights Committee of the NBA Epe Branch has been on this matter since  then and refused to compromise it's stand by insisting that the suspects be charged to COURT despite all entreaties. However, it has been one excuse to the other since the matter was transferred to ZONE 2, Onikan.

Recently, Barr. Funmi Adeogun, FNIMC, the Chairman of Human Rights Committee, NBA, Epe branch who doubles as the
Treasurer, NBA-SPIDEL revealed to Trek Africa Newspaper, 'Finally, on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, the long awaited O/C LEGAL ZONE 2 ADVICE came out and he has advised that both the LAWYER (victim) and the Suspect be Charged to COURT for Affray.'

Despite this new move, however, Barr. Adeogun said 'the Police officers involved were never invited to make statements as there we have more than one suspect.'

Because of the lackadaisical response and wicked acts meted out by police officers, Supol Bola and Inspector Olabode yet they are being covered up, the Nigerian Bar Association is requesting that the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba should intervene in the matter. He should also ensure that the said officers are duly punished and arraigned in court. Moreso, justice should be done for Barr. Friday Akpeji.

This is in order to restore confidence of Nigerians in the ability of the Nigeria Police to maintain law and order in the society.
