Politics / Young People Invite Politicians To Community Dialogue. by black9: 3:19pm On May 24, 2021 |
A group of young professionals working under the aegis of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), within Ifako Ijaiye local government, hosted the Community Dialogue at the NRC building on Saturday the 22nd of May, to ask both Chairmanship and Councillorship Aspirants about their plans for the community and youths especially if elected into office. Representatives of local societies, organizations, religious bodies and more progress oriented groups participated in the explosive community dialogue with prominent personalities including Hon. Kamoru Sunmonu, Hon. Atinuke Wuraola Owolabi, Hon. David Olusesi, Hon. Abisola Olukemi Fadayomi and Hon. Usman Hamzat Akanbi to mention a few personalities seeking to represent the grassroots during the next general elections. Everyone had interesting things to say, like the political businessman Hon Kamoru Sunmonu, who has been a business entrepreneur for the past 23 years, while working with CBN research department and council spokesman, at the same time working on his own since time immemorial. He briefly spoke about his journey through the grassroots "because what we are talking about is political office, which involves management of people and intelligent human beings. It is not easy to be in an office politically because of so many factors involved. I have worked across many seasons, and everytime we have worked together, so I know where it pinches and pains society and the community. My view politically is I can manage the local government office successfully" Another viable candidate was in person of Hon. Owolabi Wuraola Atinuke who in her own words has lived with the people and felt their struggles- having built an old people's home and running successful businesses. She suggested an investment committee among other social welfare. "First thing to do is set up a committee that will work on youth investment trust fund and connect with youths on how to plan for their needs. Also setting up a program for the aged and widows to see how we can help them. Calling likeminds to work together are things I consider we do first." According to the data driven Hon. Usman Akanbi Hamzat, whose policies come off as futuristic and blue chip inclined. He spoke passionately on what motivated his aspiration noting how, "if you're not part of the system, you can never be a part of those to make impact. What motivated this inspiration is the importance to be part of those who will make decisions to make things work for the youth and the general populace. It is a passion to serve," Adorable female trailblazer Hon. Abisola Fadayomi, cited Ifako Ijaiye youths as being among the most intelligent across the state and intends to maximize her relationship with the state governor and commissioner by virtue of being a first female councilor. " I've been opportuned to meet a lot of people in the state, starting from the governor, down to the commissioner for health, being a woman with an open heart. Setting up a trust fund for the youth to develop their talents and creativity. Together we can train the youths to be owners of businesses, without having to work for anybody. Let the youths stand on their own." She added. "I'm qualified based on my experience, and since I've been in office, I was never found wanting. If the best supervisor in this local government isnt given to me, I'll give it to myself" eulogizing his pedigree of association with past Councilors and Excos, Honorable David Olusesi partly engaging his Yoruba dialect to showcase his relatability and versatility explains how if he had more power vested in him, "the youths of the community will definitely enjoy, not only in this local government but all the way to the state" The investigative affair was anchored by AK Passion, and the personalities were adjudged by a panelist consisting of NYCN members, notably coordinated by Victor K. Adogbajale and his team of excos consisting of Alao Michael (Deputy Coordinator) Omisore Ayosola David (P.R.O), Naador Esther Kelechi (Internal Auditor)

Buhari, Nnamdi Kanu, Sunday igboho, other forces that'll determine what happens next in Nigeria — Fani-Kayode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeTsIQbmZ4I Somebody asked me, what I felt about what's going on in this country and how things will unfold. And whether I'm worried or not. The answer to the question is yes, I'm worried. And let me tell you what I believe is happening. There are 4 major forces in this country today, I'll call them 4 holes, 2 are in the S/West, one is in the East and the 4th is Buhari and he represents the North. And the S/West, we have two holes, very powerful, aggressive, focused and very very committed holes. In the person of Gani Adams, who's the Aare Ona Kakanfo and the other is Sunday Igboho, who by any standard is the hero of millions. Exceptionally tough young man. Now these two forces, represent the heart, soul, mind and spirit of the Yoruba people. They cannot be stopped, they're not politicians, they cannot be intimidated, they cannot be threatened, they're extremely focused and both of them, if sufficiently provoked, the kind of mass following they have, their readiness to die for their cause, they're extremely dangerous. Thankfully, they're good men and men that simply want a fair deal in a wider Nigeria, for our people. Also, men that are committed to the cause of Oduduwa Republic, once it is clear that there can be no fair deal in a wider Nigeria. They're totally committed to that. In fact, they're simply waiting for the integrationist to offer a better deal. Outside of that, they're leaving and they decide to go. It will take a war to stop them, and they have the hearts of the people. In the east, you have Nnamdi Kanu, I know him, exceptionally tough, very courageous and he has a massive following, absolutely massive. I call him the third one and personally call him the tiger of the east, an exceptionally tough young man and inspirational. And if there is to be an election in the east or Biafra tomorrow, he will win hands down. He has the hearts, minds, and the soul of his people and he's fighting for his people. Then you go up north. And before I go up to President Buhari, we go middle belt, the man who's a good friend of mine, he was at Oxford, brilliant man Obadiah Melafia. Obediah is not a freedom fighter or such, he's not a man that is committed to any form of violence but he's a man of ideas and his ideas are explosive, extremely inspirational. He's very focused, he's a brilliant intellectual and his ideas and intellectual contributions are more powerful than bombs. Because he has ignited a sense of awareness in the people of the middle belt- the northern minorities, particularly the Christians. And he's voicing their opinions and fighting in their corner more than anybody else in the history of the middle belt. He's extremely focused and he represents in my view the 4th hope. And it's a very positive one, very strong, he represents hope for the people of the middle belt. Then, of course, you have President Buhari himself, who I believe is the 5th hope, so rather than 4, we have 5 holes. President Buhari and those that are with him, supporting him, are also very focused on doing what they're doing. And some of them understand the situation and are ready to adapt, others are not. And that group collectively represents a very powerful force that cannot be underestimated. Within that camp, there are various groups I won't go into that now, some are more liberal and moderate than others. But by and large, there are President Buhari's loyalists. Now these 4, 5 holes, are the ones that hold the destiny of our country. If they conflict and if they can be no compromise between them at any point in time, and if we do not agree on a formula, to avoid war in this country. If we cannot somehow assuage the feelings and persuade the Igbohos, Adamses and those behind them, to try to be a little bit more understanding about whats going on, try to reach out to them in peace and in love, try to build that bridge, it would be a very dangerous situation we are against, the same with Nnamdi Kanu. And the same with the people that Obediah Melafia represents in the middle belt. And that's all left to the forces that left the state. Buhari's gotten, people. Now what I've said so far may have lost most people because it's really not for the less discerning and people that cannot think deeply. It's very profound what I've said but they say a word is enough for the wise. The dumb may not understand it, simply because they're not wise but the wise will understand what I'm saying and in a nutshell, what I'm saying is this, politicians may act and behave as if really nothing is happening and that things are in order and moving towards 2023. And they're totally besotted and obsessed with who'll become President tomorrow. At least in a couple of years, but what they fail to appreciate is that in 2 years time, there may not be a Nigeria left. If things go on as they're going now and I kid you not, I'm very close to many politicians in this country, I've been involved for many years and I have never seen this level of ethnic nationalism being expressed and exhibited among the Yoruba people and among the Ibo, and among the people of the middle belt as I have today. In fact, it is so extreme that I'm sure it's far more so than even just the civil war. And that's what we're dealing with. And people like Igboho, particularly and Adams and Kanu and Obediah Melafia and even Buhari himself have tapped into the power and the attraction of that ethnic nationalism, rightly so in my view. It can be used in a positive way if it's used properly if tapped into, there's nothing wrong with that, but where these ethnic nationalities are on a collision course, particularly when it the Fulanis against the rest or when the rest are saying enough is enough or when the rest are saying that they're tired and they're fed up and when the rest are saying that they will not be intimidated or threatened by anybody even those that organize coercive arms of government and control the state. And when the rest are saying listen, if you consider us to be slaves, we'll show you that we're not slaves and you have people rising up in those areas, like the names I've mentioned, like the holes I've mentioned to say we will defend the honour and the future of our people. And we'll preserve the lives and honour of our people no matter what, this goes beyond politics. This is about national survival, it's about the survival of our ethnic nationality and it's about the unity of our country. So I would urge politicians and those who cannot think deeply to begin to think about what's going on. We're sitting on a keg of gunpowder and we're acting as if nothings happening, we put our heads in the sand like an ostrich and we're pretending that nothing has gone wrong. In the east today, people are being killed every day, being butchered by our security forces and of course unknown gunmen as they call them are also attacking not just civilians but members of our armed forces, members of our police and so on and so forth, which of course I do not support. I think it is wrong, violence both ways is wrong and two wrongs do not make a right. So what's going on it is unbelievable. In some cases, in some parts, policemen cannot even wear their uniforms now because they're scared of being attacked and this is very sad, same in the south-south. In the southwest, you have massive militias being built up around two charismatic leaders who are prepared to go all the way if sufficiently provoked and if the state cannot guarantee the lives and properties of the Yoruba people. And let me tell you, it is only because the elders of the southwest have been holding them back and chanting restructuring as a way out, that is why the west has been a little bit restrained, this will not last for much longer. The people there are fired and they want their own country and you can't wish it to win. The middle belters have been completely suppressed, subjugated, oppressed, cheated and belittled for so many years now. Far more than any other groups in this country, they are also seeking emancipation, they also want a way out and that is ably reflected on the activities and words of a man like Obediah Melafia like I said earlier. And then, of course, you have the core north itself, represented by President Buhari and those that think like him. Not all are extreme, some are, some aren't and thank those who are not so extreme are the ones we can reach out to and talk to but those that have no place in Nigeria anymore as far as I'm concerned and really ought to consider going back to Chad, Niger Republic, wherever they come from and resettle there. But as far as this country is concerned, whether you listen to me or not, you believe me or not and we'll have this conversation again in about 3 years time and I'm sure you people will say yet again, FFK was right. But for now, the important thing is to recognize the challenges we're facing, cause these ones to come together and negotiate, and discuss the way forward, because if we don't do that, I assure you, there'll be a conflict somewhere down the line. The state cannot suppress the will of the people of the S/west through arms, or do the same to people of the S/East. They cannot kill everybody in the South-south, they cannot kill everybody in the middle belt and they cannot kill everybody among those in the core north who also want a change. What they can do is to establish the fact that it is important for us to sit down and talk as nationalists and see if there's a way out of this and negotiate this thing to a point where everybody is comfortable whether through restructuring or whatever it is. What we mustn't do is continue to act as if we don't need to talk to each other and act as if nothing will change, nothing will happen. Doesn't matter how many people are killed, that the state can hold the line. The state cannot hold the line, in a conflict like this, it's just a matter of time and the most important thing to recognize mostly is this, there are men of goodwill on all sides. We may disagree on Oduduwa, Biafra, Nigeria or even an amalgamation of the 4 zones. The middle belt, South/south, S/East and S/west coming together under one country and the core north going a separate way or we have 5 or 6 different countries at the end of it all, or we even are an integrated Nigeria, which is restructuring and we continue as one. It doesn't matter what you think, what you feel, where you stand on the way forward. What matters is that we must have peace, must have dialogue, must have understanding and we must stop this idea that you can kill all those that are opposed to you and that you can wipe them off the face of the earth and crush the opposition, crush those that do not agree with you, this cannot work, we must talk, we must dialogue, that's the way forward, the only way forward and that's my preferred option for the future of this country. We continue to trust God that we won't have a war, we won't have a breakup. I assure you as sure I am that night follows day and day follows night, if something isn't done and we don't retrace our steps and we stop demonizing and killing each other, the killings of Ibos don't stop in the S/east, killings of Yorubas don't stop in the S/west, the killing of middle belters doesn't stop, being killed by different people, whether Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen, elements within the security forces or whatever it is. Whoever is responsible at the end of it all, everybody will say no offence to Israel, you can kill us but we also have a right to defend ourselves and we will fight back and defend our people and nobody can take that right away from anybody. So let's have this concession again in about 3 years, we'll see who's right or wrong, but I urge you all just to think and understand the complexity of the situation and the gravity of this terrible mire that we've found ourselves in. I pray for those that make these decisions, I pray for those that are in a position to help us achieve peace and I call for dialogue and understanding on all sides but with justice, there must be justice. Without justice, there can be no peace, justice for the people of the S/west, for the people of the S/east, people of the S/south, people of the middle belt and justice for the people of the core north. But I've also been deprived by elements within the state and deny their rights and there must be security. That is the way forward. Talk to Adams, talk to Igboho, talk to Nnamdi Kanu, talk to Obediah Melafia, talk to everybody and those on the other side also should be able to talk to elements within the Buhari government, for us to now agree that we go our separate ways peacefully or we stay together in a restructured Nigeria. I end with this. What we must not do is continue as if we don't have a problem because if we continue that way, believe me, 2023 will be an illusion and even if we get there as one country, I really would pity whoever it is that would take over from President Buhari. We have some good candidates, those that know me to know who I believe is the right person. I've identified who I think worth to be President of this country, but the question for me today is that, will there be a Nigeria in 2023. I pray so, I hope so but at the same time, I will never deny the right of my people in the S/west for self-determination, if that is what they want to do and I would not expect anybody to deny others the right to have the same principle of self-determination exercised in their zones. That is the way of life, that is what you call freedom and liberty and that is what we demand. May God bless you all and thanks for listening to me. Bye for now.

Celebrities / Throwback to When Osigbesan Labelled God Mafia by black9: 9:43am On May 21, 2021 |
Genesis 20vs3: indeed you're a dead man because of the woman whom you've taken, for she is a man's wife At the Miracle and Communion Service this Sunday at Gracemadeng, you are expected to come with 3 major requests in your heart you are trusting God for and we will be believing God together for a miracle concerning those requests. Our God is a prayer answering God and he will answer your prayers. As the Victorious teaching series intensifies at Gracemade Christian Center, and even hosting a communion service with God this Sunday, PLEX 2021 takes a quick throwback to when lead Pastor Seun Osigbesan gave an instance to indicate how God can be mafia attimes, especially when protecting his own. Mentioning the victory tools which God has provided us with, and using Biblical citations, Pastor Seun briefly marveled at how God became defensive on Abraham's behalf when King Abimelech almost snatched Sarah to be his own wife. In Genesis 20 when Abraham traveled with Sarah, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, staying in Gerar. Fear of being murdered because of his beautiful wife caused Abraham to justifiably call Sarah his sister because King Abimelech ended up taking Sarah. Where the story gets interesting is when God appeared to Abimelech in a dream and said to him "indeed you're a dead man because of the woman whom you've taken, for she is a man's wife" Immediately the king was humbled and began to tender excuses. Upon meeting with Abraham the following morning, King Abimelech returned Sarah and added so much gifts unto Abraham. This brief encounter in the Bible amidst plenty others join to show God's faithfulness to His own people. And PLEX 2021 observes God to be our mafia protection. At the same time, happy birthday in addy Gracemade- PLEX2021 1 Like 1 Share

Celebrities / Win A Soul And Get A Reward Of N10,000: by black9: 3:01pm On May 20, 2021 |
I went to church on Sunday just like all of you did. Everything was going well until the pastor stepped on the pulpit to preach. He started emphasising the importance of evangelism. What broke the straw of the camel was when he gave us a challenge. He said anyone who won a soul for Christ before the next week would get ten thousand naira; two souls - twenty thousand naira. I could see smile and happiness on people's faces. Those people that had never gone for evangelism before swore that were going to preach to someone. Well, the service ended and I rushed to my hostel happily. When I got to my room, I did a quick survey of all my course mates who had not given their lives to Jesus. Before Tuesday, I had succeeded in winning two souls for Christ. I was happy. I already had plans for what I would use my twenty thousand naira to do when I get it. Every Tuesdays, there was Bible study in my church, so, I took my two converts to the church thirty minutes before the Bible study would start. When we got to church compound, I was shocked. A lot of bikes and cars were packed in front of the church. "Is there a revival program in your church", One of my converts asked. " No", I replied. More shock awaited for us when we got inside the church. The highest population we ever had in my church was 56 people, that day we had 300 people in the church. Church members that had never come for Bible study before came to church that day. Sister Mary, the choir leader, won ten souls. Sister Hannah who has always been a quiet member won twenty souls. I thought I had seen it all until brother Paul came to church with a big bus filled with people. Brother Paul brought hundred people expecting 1 million naira. Finally, the pastor entered the church. It was a new Pastor, the Old one has been transferred. Omo! See shock for people face You say wahala be like wetin? Note: There is always joy in heaven when a soul is won for God. A crown awaits you in heaven when you win a soul for Christ. Moral.... don’t wait to be compensated before you win souls it is your duty as a believer to win souls for Christ. I Healed My Pregnancy Problems With My own Herbal Remedies – TDR. Funmi Lawrence Ogidan Funmilola Lawrence Ogidan is a traditional doctor with a difference and without condemning western medical drugs, she has proffered herbal remedies as nature’s safest cure for most human ailments. In a chat with press men in Lagos recently, she explained that while synthetic medical drugs almost always produce side effects in patients, herbal remedies have no side effect. “I have tried and tested both western and herbal medicines and I can tell you categorically that God has provided us with every single herb we need for our good health. The herbs that we have all around us will do us a whole lot of good work when we treat them right. Herbal medicines perform healing miracles in us. “We haven’t reached that stage where western medicine would be totally replaced by herbal remedies for all ailments. Having alternatives helps us all. I believe that most western medicines originate from our own local herbs but with a lot of synthetic processes that deplete nature and produce side effects” Lawrence-Ogidan said. Lawrence-Ogidan is a traditional doctor (TDR). Arguably, she has the largest health farm and NAFDAC-certified factory for the production of herbal remedies in Southwest Nigeria. She is a well-travelled tour operator, special education and entrepreneurship graduate and an indigene of Ile-Ife, Osun State. She is the CEO of Global New Herbal Life (GNHL); a certified member of both the Nigeria Association of Medical Herbalists and National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners. Her passion for herbal remedies grew when she had to heal her protracted barreness with herbs after western medical methods had failed her. “I had serious hormonal disorder that stopped me from getting pregnant for many years. I did IVF severally. I was given different injections daily, but the minute I started using my own herbs, everything started going back to normal. To the glory of God, I had my own baby. It was normal delivery even at that age. There were no issues or complications at all with the pregnancy or after the delivery” she said. TDR Lawrence-Ogidan has produced over 70 tried and tested ready-to-drink and readyto-rub herbal remedies with stunning testimonials, details of which she shared in her press Interview Trained as a traditional herbal doctor by experts, including 90 and 100-year-olds, Lawrence-Ogidan says her trainers have entrusted ancient herbal secrets to her and that mixed with science, her company GNHL has successfully elevated the production precision of nature’s herbal remedies, which she categorized into three – sex, health and beauty products. Hear her: “Unlike before when I used to suffer from malaria and fever often, we now have a one-time herbal cure and with our modern factory equipment and attending technology, we are able to do a lot of toxicology tests to ensure that our herbal remedies come in the right dosage. So now we produce in safe quantities and with NAFDAC-approved scientific quality that can be sold without reducing the component of herbs that we use.” Asked if her Fever remedy can cure COVID-19, her carefully weighed words were: “COVID-19 and its many variants have further opened our eyes to the limitations of western medicine. A whole lot of people went back to ginger, garlic and other herbs. I believe that herbal remedies would get us farther going forward

Celebrities / God Answers Prayers- Peace Encourages with Revelation by black9: 9:35am On May 18, 2021 |
God answers prayer. But sometimes, God is silent. As given by God unto Peace Onyetorochi As believers, we’ve all been there — or will be. We may earnestly seek God but, in return, only sense His silence. And this silence can be difficult, frustrating, even excruciating. The Bible tells the story of a man named Job who was well-acquainted with God’s silence. In his pain and suffering, he cried out to God. He asked for answers. And he kept asking. But for the first 37 chapters of the Book of Job, his cries for God’s help and relief are met only by God’s deafening silence. As Christians, we are not always going to hear God’s voice, but from Job we can learn a few practical things to do when God seems silent. 1. Examine Your Life Begin by asking yourself, Is there any unconfessed sin in my life? Make sure nothing is blocking you from being able to hear God’s voice. Psalm 66:18 says, “If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, my Lord would not have listened” (New Living Translation). This requires looking deeply at our lives.. Ask yourself: Is there anything (or anyone) I love more than God? As God brings things to mind, ask for His forgiveness. And remember, there is no shame in repentance. This act of faith pleases God and restores our fellowship with Him. 2. Accept God’s Authority Recognize that God can be silent. There is no obligation for God to answer you, inform you or let you know anything. “God is said to be absolutely free,” says A.W. Tozer in “The Knowledge of the Holy,” “because no one and no thing can hinder Him or compel Him or stop Him. He is able to do as He pleases always, everywhere, forever.” Like us, Job faced the choice of acknowledging — or rejecting — the authority of God. In response to his suffering and loss, Job’s wife suggested he curse God and die. Instead of following her advice, Job chose to let God be God. “Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” he asked (Job 2:10, NLT). Accepting God’s authority also means actively trusting God, realizing He is in control and can be trusted. “Though He slay me,” says Job, “I will hope in Him” (Job 13:15, English Standard Version). Nothing in Job’s life, or ours, happens apart from God’s knowledge and plan. As we learn at the beginning of the Book of Job, God was fully aware of all the things that were about to happen to Job. In fact, He gave Satan permission to do these things in Job’s life. At no point does God release His control. 3. Listen to What God Is Saying Although God may seem silent regarding a specific request or petition, remember that He is in a constant state of communication with us. In fact, it is possible that you already have an answer from God. The Bible is full of specific answers about what is right and wrong, as well as information about God’s character and His intention for us as His children and His followers. So don’t forget to dig into God’s Word — His written communication to us — to find out what He has to say about the problems you are facing or the questions you are asking. As you read the Bible, ask God to speak to you through the Holy Spirit, who lives inside of you. Often, verses of Scripture can have new significance in light of current problems you are facing. 4. Recognize That Silence Can Be Intimate Silence can also be a sign of God’s trust in you. The Gospel of John tells a story about Jesus’ friends Lazarus, Mary and Martha. When Jesus found out that Lazarus was ill, rather than rush to Lazarus’ house to heal him, he stayed where he was for two more days (John 11:6). And before Jesus arrived in Bethany, Lazarus died. To Lazarus’ sisters, Mary and Martha, Jesus’ silence could have been interpreted as neglect — that Jesus did not care about or want to help them. This mirrors many of the emotions we feel when God does not immediately answer our cries for help. But in Jesus’ silence we, along with Mary and Martha, are drawn into a new closeness to God and understanding of His power. Four days after he died, Lazarus was raised from the dead by Jesus, showing His power. “When you cannot hear God,” says Oswald Chambers in “My Utmost For His Highest,” “you will find that He has trusted you in the most intimate way possible — with absolute silence, not a silence of despair, but one of pleasure, because He saw that you could withstand an even bigger revelation.” When you are completely comfortable with a person, it is possible to sit in a room together and not utter a word. In love, silence can be a sign of intimacy. For Job, God’s silence was also a result of the depth of their relationship. When Satan approached God, God said, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” (Job 1:8, ESV). God chose Job because He trusted him. 5. Keep Talking to God Just because God seems silent doesn’t mean you should doubt Him or stop praying. God’s silence isn’t a license for us to turn our backs on Him. Instead, it’s an invitation to press forward and seek Him even more diligently. The Psalmists modeled crying out to God. David said, “Oh my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest” (Psalm 22:2, ESV). Job also continually cries out to God, asking Him to answer. For pages of the Book of Job, God is silent. But in chapter 38, God answers — and questions Job. “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?” asks God. “Tell Me, if you have understanding” (Job 38:4, ESV). God is in control and has been all along. He heard Job’s cries for help. In trust, He waited for the perfect time to speak. Job was reminded: God answers prayer. 2 Likes
