What you should be comparing is the Mile 12 vs Enugu clash, which was most recent and which was not. That of Mile 12 happened before that of Enugu and I could remember the many threads that were opened in jubilation. They only paid you back in the same coin of 'it can never happen on our soil'. Interestingly, it didn't just happen in Enugu, it did in Anambra and Imo as well.

I could remember the way Yorubas were mocked by some of you, even in the face of a sickening trend last year; how you claimed it was a master vs servant affair despite being a one-sided affair.

What most of the Yoruba e-warlords did was simple, they simply mocked you guys when you claimed it can never happen on your soil. It happened and nothing was done. I remember the countless Ezeagu attack and the silence of the Enugu State Governor. The same with that of Awgu, which was almost similar to the way the Hausas operated against the Yorubas in Mile 12.

I could remember how many bigots had pre-celebrations about Yorubas clashing with the Hausas in Ife and I could remember my response to some of those threads, that if Hausas would want to exhibit their madness, Ifè would and should be their last as they have no means of winning. Interestingly, when the body count was released, those who were rejoicing that the master-slave treatment has started again, changed their songs to Yorubas are hostile and their region is unsettling.

Without being biased, the most accommodating people in Nigeria are the Yorubas. Even in the face of provocation, some would choose peace over chaos.

Concerning your experience, I can boldly tell you one thing; if you dwell amongst Yorubas and you think they don't greet you, then you are the problem. Take this to the bank. An average Yoruba person would greet you three times in 10 minutes just because you keep passing by. And knowing full well, that you are prolly not Yoruba, you might have been waiting for them to greet first before you respond. Yorubas are very sensitive to greetings. The moment they notice you enjoy being greeted first, they would start holding back and believe you are an arrogant person.

Enugu is even worse. Children here stare at you like dead cow heads. They don't even know how to say thank you when you exhibit magnanimity towards them. Well, let's just say I'm used to the South West that I tend to use the region as a yard in judging other areas.

And as per the young you 'gave age ahead', I can boldly say the problem is because you always her to greet first. It doesn't walk that way. The rule is simple, if you spot her first, say hello. It does increase self worth and respect. I believe your actions are forgivable since you don't understand these things.

And if you are thinking 'why should I greet her first since I am light years ahead', I would tell you that a Yoruba Proverb perfectly describes this: that you prostrate to a dwarf doesn't mean you won't be great. Humility is key.

This is huge lie. I have stayed in three SW states and I have been to four,and I would confidently tell you that the region is the most accommodating. My first experience was in Ife. I lived a house with just the landlord and his family. Being the odd one out and not being Yoruba, I never recalled a day I felt left out.

Most of the people saying otherwise have either not left their region before or have chosen to have their minds closed even before moving to either of the states. Besides, majority of Igbos scattered all over Nigerian find solace in the South West than other regions.

If the Ife vs Hausa saga would be the yardstick then I would say this is hypocritical. Had Yorubas been killed, Some Igbos on here would call them perpetual slaves and now that it is the other way around, the South West is not peaceful. Funny.
