Hello, I missed out. What happened? Please details
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 12:49am On Jun 11, 2008
grin grin Now the battle line is drawn. Isaac Vrs Eunice.

For me Isaac did better. Though he was relaxed, it rather showed confidence. Eunice beating around the bush exposed her lack of indept understanding of the field she claims to be an expert.

However, i think the choice will be the character trait the CEO is looking for in his apprentice. Does anyone know where the finals will be staged and how i could get ticket ?
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 7:38am On Jun 08, 2008
@Up Niaja,
Why take this personal. I am expressing my opinion about what i see. You are entitiled to yours. But don't tell me I have tried so har d to say negative things about Eunice because to me, she has consistently shown negative attitude through out. Its funny you see her as a team player and objective. Did you watch when Nnamdi was fired? Do you say such a person is objective? Do you say she is a team player, ? You have not made any strong point about your pet.

Anyway, give me one instance where you have commended Isaac. Flash back to your previous postings. So please support what you believe in and stop attacking people who don't share your opinion.

UpNaija:

@ Black Prez,

Before, you said Isaac made more business sense than Eunice and you were clearly exposed for having misquoted Isaac. Therefore your argument was unsubstantiated. Your only response was that you quoted the “import” of what he said? That doesn’t make sense, the bottom line is that a quote is a quote and you quoted wrong.

You’ve tried so hard to say negative things about Eunice, and now you’re drawing comparisons on their rewards? Your arguments and case for Isaac are WEAK.

I applaud you for supporting Isaac; however, there are people that support Eunice and will continue to defend her whenever necessary. I’m glad that you noticed she did not hide her respect for Isaac, because she comes across as someone who will give respect to whom respect is due. What you see is exactly what I see and that’s a woman who is an objective business person, effective team player (and equally effective leader), and good orator!

TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 11:22pm On Jun 07, 2008
grin grin grin grin Interesting Stuff here.

Well, I quoted the import of what the gentleman said. We all have our way of expressing ourselves. I root for ISAAC.

Open your eyes. Episode 14, the reward was a facial treatment for Eunice, nice dress for her as well and photo shots with graphic effects. Isaac, hahahaha, wearing some ordinary shirt, and a photo shot I wonder how memorable it would be him. Poor Boy. hahahaa. Episode 15, nail spa and massage??

Anyway, I believe Eunice has never hidden her respect for Isaac. All the time commending him. From previous episodes, it is clear Eunice would attact anybody she sees as the weakest link in her interviews. The only exception is the MAN ISAAC.

TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 11:21pm On Jun 06, 2008
I find it very difficult how people can be drawn into accessing others basically by how they orate. That to me does not show strength. Empty Barrels they say make the most noise. During Task 15, Isaac's answer to Power Fist grabbing more targeted market was spot on. There was so much business sense in it. "Introduce a liquid form of power fist for the upper class market and that will motivate the low end customers since they see themselves drinking similar products in a powder form" Smartness. That point was well accepted by the Executives of Nutricima. I admire the way Eunice talk with confidence, but i think she doesn't really make business sense.

For those who underestimate the capabilities of Isaac and see a boardroom tussel between him and Eunice to be a "David and Goliath" battle, they should remember that "Goliath" is too big a target to miss if you think "David" is too small to conquer him. A word to the wise,
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 11:23am On Jun 05, 2008
Guys, I strongly think this Apprentice Africa thing is cooked for some candidates. Eunice i think is served. Do you see how regular she is featured on the show than any other contestant and she keeps saying she did everything? How come Isaac was the PM and through out the first two parts of the show he wasn't interviewed. I believe these guys use about 3 days to a week to get a task done and someone edits it to 45 minutes if I'm right (since there are lots of advertisement) to portray what they want viewers to see.

They make Deox look stupid and all the time gives Eunice much airtime than any other contestant on any episode. Is it because of her accent or the title is already serve?. Anybody challenging me? Buy the DVDs when they are out to check. I think these contestants are being used. A good show is being destroyed. The CEO must sit-up. His reputation is seriously at stake.

I wouldn't be surprise if Isaac or Blessing is fired come tuesday. It certainly won't be Eunice.
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 11:23pm On Jun 03, 2008
Deox is gone.

It was terrible in the boardroom. For once, I thought the CEO was going to fire the two of them. Clearly, I will never employ those two, Deox and Blessing in my company.
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 6:17pm On Jun 02, 2008
From an Inside man, who is an HR practitioner

As a Human Resources practitioner, we asked Tunde to describe the remaining 4 contenders:

“Isaac: Cool, man of character, mature, intelligent, charismatic, friendly.
“Eunice: The stronger of the ladies present. Questionable character, intelligent but not creative
“Deox: Hmnnnn, slimy very slimy. It’s a wonder he has come this far.
“Blessing: really can’t place her”.

Eddie also rated Isaac second after Tunde. Nancy passed similar comment about Isaac and Eunice even in last episode could not hide her respect for Isaac. That guy for me, is so tactful I have a strong feeling he will win. Tunde is right. Leader is about people and not achievement. Some achievement can be bought. It is what you do with your titles that matters, not the titles.
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 1:48am On May 29, 2008
McDreamy:

Eunice - has practically gotten on my nerves since the 1st episode. She has made it a sort of personal vendetta thing. You know naming names & saying the people she wants to get rid of openly without fear. From her CV yeah she is talented & intelligent but she has not brought that to the fore (or i havent seen it).The CEO has also emboldened her by showing his admiration and she has been ruthless in the boardroom. She might also be a feminist bcus she does not want to get rid of female competition (or maybe its just her close friends namely Kathleen & Ble ble bcus she kicked Nancy's butt out of the show. But I must say that she has been mellow in the last 2 episodes & particularly in the last one brought her better side to the table.

Blessing - talented, intelligent Igbo lady. She is always about the leadership and has also proved her leadership skills whenever she was PM. Shrewd, spendthrift I would love to see a showdown between her and Eunice. Catfight! Can be a bit petty at times

Deox - Strong, silent leader. Has been PM 3 times, has won 3 times. Personally acknowledged by the CEO himself. I don't know if he has the ability to fight dirty cus he looks like a gentleman.

Isaac - I give him kudos for coming this far. I wouldnt have placed him in the last 8!He has been silent & i think he learns a lot from observing his environs which is what he has utilized to keep him this long. I loved the way he was factual and accurate in his assessment about Kathleen which led to her demise & kept Eunice quiet (for once). He may not be able to fight dirty but he will be able to marshal his points.

@MForest, I am glad Tunde gave up a good fight but the odds were stacked against him. I knew he was going to be fired from the comments of his teammates

So lets see how it goes!

I share most of your opinion about the candidates. However, there is one thing everybody is overlooking. Eunice and Blessing are popular because they have both been to the board room several times. That doesn't make the strong players because if all the time, your PMs thinks you are the weakest link in the team and drag you to the boardroom, it aint a good thing. I remember before Nancy was fired, the CEO counted the number of times, Eunice and Blessing had being to the boardroom, which was 3 and 4 respectively at that time (now it should be 5 and 6 respenctively).

Isaac and Deox on the other hand have been very impressive. Especially Isaac. No PM has ever taken him to the boardroom as the weakest link. WHY? Food for thought. The only time he was there was when lost for the first time as PM and we all saw how he axed Kathleen.

I will go for Isaac and Blessing or Eunice. I just can't wait for next week.

With the boardroom inconsistency, i concur. How come Nnamdi was fired for advicing a low price to sell more, where the PM-Eunice was left untouched for taking the advice in addition to over spending, but then, Regina was fired for not taking Blessings advice? The CEO has a lot to explain i think.

One wrong judgement makes a right judgement wrong.
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 10:28pm On May 27, 2008
Deox is very mean. How can he say Tunde should just bow out. This show is for $200,000. With the kind of synergy in Matrix now, they will trash Zulu for sure. The Zulu guys especially Deox and Blessing spent time complaining about their team whiles in Matrix, it was compliments. Hmmmm. Its getting interesting.
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 7:09am On May 27, 2008
@MForest, you are not consistent with Isaac. I just read your first postings where you stated how aggressive Isaac can be when he took out Kathleen and you sad he is as "bad" as Eunice. Now what??. However i just need to tell you that aggressiveness doesn't mean being mean and cockatoo. It doesn't mean being arrogant. One need to be aggressive on the job not shout in the boardroom. That is why i described Isaac's axing of Kathleen as tactful. It was without strong words and  unfounded accusation. He didn't shift blames because he sold more than the two ladies and as to Kathleen's behavior, we all saw it. Well lets see how it goes. For me, a sleeping lion is dangerous than a noise making dog.

Please go back to Leadership 101 and make sure you understand issues. Eunice has no place in this competition. It will definately be Tunde and Isaac finals. We wait to see.

MForest:

I hope Zulu loses in episode 14—there will be blood all over the boardroom. Tunde stated that he would take out both Deox and Blessing—yea right!  I bet you Blessing would nail his coffin!!! With him out of the way, the only people that make the show worth watching are Blessing, Eunice, and Deox. ….hhhhhmmmm---I don’t know about Isaac, he definitely needs to be more aggressive; if not more assertive. Everyone knows if you want to make it to the top, you need to have those qualities; otherwise step aside. Being aggressive can definitely be an asset for a good leader—they teach you that in leadership 101 at school. If Matrix loses—na wa o, there should be an ambulance outside the boardroom to take Isaac home. I don’t even think I could let my kids see that episode; who knows how much Isaac may cry…
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 4:42pm On May 26, 2008
It was unfortunate Tunde lost his first task as PM if my memory serves me right. He did remarkably well in his second task as PM and he will put himself in a very good position if he's able to lead his team to victory. Should Zulu lose, it will become difficult for him to survive and where he survives, it will diminish he chances. Deox will definately not be fired after leading his team to three wins. Blessing might be a victim.  Tunde-Blessing war will be interesting

Matrix will be an interesting team to watch. Isaac though calm, shown last episode he knows how to put his points across well. Eunice as we all know, is aggressive. Should Matrix lose, i bet Eunice will go. She would have lead as PM three times with one win against Isaac's three to two wins.
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 12:01am On May 25, 2008
Hello Buddies,
This forum is too quiet. I was just watching Episode 13 again and guys, face, I think Isaac is very matured in his acts. I just noticed that, he has been so tactful through out the show. He doesn't attack people at their backs and alway is optimistic. Whiles people are talking about who they r going to take or wish exited from the show, he said we pray for the best.

I think he is the one to axe out poisonous Eunice and I hope they lose the next task. That will be Aggressiveness vs Tactfulness, hahahaha. All the same, Tunde, go boy. It will be a finals between Tunde and Isaac.
Sports / Mourinho Sends Text To Essien by BlackPrez: 6:58pm On May 24, 2008
Mourinho's Inter text to Essien

Saturday 24 May, 2008

Former Chelsea Coach Jose Mourinho has allegedly sent Blues midfielder Michael Essien a text message, saying he will be Inter’s new boss.

The Portuguese left Stamford Bridge in September and has been repeatedly linked with the Nerazzurri.

Reports in Italy suggest the 45-year-old “Special One” ‘texted’ Essien after Chelsea lost the Champions League final on Wednesday night.

“Michael,” it read. “You have been great. On Monday I am going to Milan to sign a contract with Inter. I hope that, one day, you will be at Inter too.”

The future of current Nerazzurri boss Roberto Mancini has been in doubt for months despite last weekend’s Scudetto win.

Mancini infamously resigned after Inter were knocked out of the Champions League in March only to retract his decision and stay at San Siro.

The former Lazio and Fiorentina tactician will contest the Coppa Italia final against Roma this evening and end the season with the Nerazzurri.

Inter have targeted a number of Chelsea players in recent weeks, most notably Frank Lampard, seemingly in anticipation of Mourinho’s arrival.

Drogba is stupid. He should go.

John T, what a pitty. He slipped. Man U do juju hmmmmm
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 9:49pm On May 21, 2008
Its getting hotter. I bet you, all the 5 guys left are tough. This will be interesting. Should Matrix lose the next task, it will be very interesting how Isaac and Eunice pitch for better record in the competition. Isaac has a better record against Eunice by all standards and the guy is tactful. However should Zulu lose, i bet my last penny Deox will go.

Its looking very much like Isaac-Tunde finals
Just can't wait for next week.
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by BlackPrez: 4:38pm On May 17, 2008
Hi People,
One unmarked candidate is Isaac. There is little to fault him with. Though he has never being to the boardroom, I think he is a strong candidate. Do you remember last week when they lost, he was very articulate, calm but very biting. Eunice realizing that guy could get her out, excempted him. She actually acknowledged his roll in minimizing cost.

You see, we are judging potential winning candidates as those who go to the boardroom. That is dangerous. Remember Randal of Donald Trump version? Sean? Bill? All these guys were not controvertial but yet they won. I wouldn't be surprise at all if Isaac, Tunde or Deox wins
