kettykings: A single anti igbo policy can wipe out in a few days all the gains that Nnewi has made since the end of the Civil War.
If igbos give heed to my saying then government policies will not affect their business.
Part of the problem I had with obasanjo regime was his closing igbo businesses and seizing their assets, this can be mitigated when igbos have core businesses in igbo land and leave the peripheral businesses in Abuja and Lagos and port Harcourt Do you know that the Nnewis industrialization activity is helping to insulate and strengthen the SE economy Pls watch the documentary The Men Who Built America |

mapet: Now this is some of the weirdest thinking I have ever seen. Please explain how you can "Insulate" eastern economy from Nigeria's policies. The eastern economy is at the bottom pedestal on the based on some recent analysis. Majority of Easterners are transacting business outside the east, Natural resources from the east contribute near zilch to the national treasury........ You are very funny Have you not seen Rich and Poor Regions within the same country |

benuejosh: msugh! Upandeve is evening. Well I guess the tivs are more than the ijaws. Even in political sphere the tiv are in more positions than the Ijaws however that is not my basis or justification. Let's talk of populations and lands occupied. We have in benue, kwara, taraba, nasarrawa and they also make up majorities in this states. though minorities in some states in nigeria. And on records even. Now if we decide to go on positions occupied since independence, the Tivs have been on the helm of affairs in the country even before the ijaws. As it is currently the Tiv still own much positions than the ijaws. Define the words Population Density US Russia Canada Brazil are bigger than China in land size but vice versa in population Gwaris are found in more states than Igbos Ibibios Binis but we have more population than them Think well like one who saw the 4 walls of an elementary school. |

kettykings: How really can he marginalised igbos, by denying them fair share of projects or killing their businesses.
If igbos can form a think thank that can insulate the eastern economy from Nigeria policies apart from that I don't see much buhari can do to the igbos.
Igbos should warm up for the worst and prepare for the best just in case. We don't need a think tank to insulate the Eastern economy from Nigeria policies All we need to do is to encourage those parts of Igboland who are not industrial conscious to start thinking as industrialists just like the Nnewis If every Igbo community strive towards industrialization like the Nnewis, we will build a technological Biafra within the Nigerian State So my dear the steps you and I should take are 1) Educate our people towards industrialization 2) Encourage Micro financing that has low interest and long term(7yrs) loans 3) Community infrastructural projects 4 ) You and other people can add more |

Whynotthetruth: You mean FG and all other state's debt put together ... Mind you, APC tops the list of debtors... I keep saying it here that Anambra template as instituted by Peter Obi and sustained now by Obiano shows how a sincere government can run the state leaving behind great infrastructure projects, development, increased salaries etc without a single debt even in the midst of so-called scarcity or reduced allocation; while less developed states with more allocation than them are wallowing in debts with nothing on ground to show for it except lies and propaganda... Gbam True talk |

That's not going to happen, their leadership is preparing to run a collect and share "allocation process". 2.3million barrels of crude oil is all they know. Rawani: No doubt, I agree. Nigeria however in its current state is not sustainable practicing FF. Putting the cart in the correct order entails complete diversification of the economy is first pursued and attained with a sustainable framework for exploitation of each regions resources such that there will be no necessity for the "special fund" the OP recommended for struggling states, and there will be healthy economic competition among regions. The fastest way to diversify the economy strengthen the economy Etc is through Fiscal Federalism |

Whynotthetruth: I am for good governance not blackmail like you do mostly here hence I pointed out your hypocrisy to you...Rochas of Imo state, Aregbesola of osun state etc has messed up the state treasuries notwithstanding Rochas huge allocation while aregbesola gets a modest allocation as compared to states in their cadre like Anambra which isn't an oil producing state yet but doing far better than these APC states with no single debt and is even increasing salary of its workforce by 15% more in the midst of so-called scarcity...
When these APC states mess up, instead of the masses holding them accountable as grassroot government, they shift the blame to FG to hide their lack of leadership and sincerity to electorates...To me, What reason has Rivers state to borrow and even owe workers Lagos state has no reason borrowing as much as it is doing now with nothing to show for it eg $1Billion loan for light rail whose delivery date was July 2013. Till now, there's nothing to show for it and the loan is there to be repaired...But APC and its minions can't see such...they only see Jonathan...ndonu Perfect God bless you |

Rawani: What do you think was the problem with the NDDC & co? The name or the characters within? Until the SS stops to glorify thugs, militants, bunkerers and looters like Tompolo, Orubebe,,Dokubo etc. as regional leaders, the looting, impunity and mismanagement that has plagued and ruined these interventionist agencies will still manifest in whatever fiscal structure you desire. Be sincere for once If Awolowo had rule Western Nigeria on the present fiscal system , do you think he would have achieve anything . True federalism is better |

Where leaders will embezzle most of the money and tell you the money is not enough because other states are sharing it with you. You guys should insist on good governance for once. These governors are too corrupt to effect any development in their states even with 100% derivation Why didn't Awolowo embezzle the cocoa wealth of Western Nigeria It is better the blame goes to the son of the soil than it goes to an outsider Do you know why.?
