Do you know that one major factor that handicapped Biafra was Ojukwu's financial adviser who failed to convert the 20million Nigerian pounds in the account of Eastern region to dollar. If Ojukwu's finance minister had done that, Awo's policy of changing the Nigerian pounds wont have made our 20million pounds worthless depriving us a means to finance the war.


Nigeria needs to preserve as many dollar as possible in case of any problem.

At times I don't understand NA strategy of "WAIT TO BE ATTACK," . Boko Haram attack Damaturu from Gujuba LGA, and this same Gujuba was captured from NA two months ago, and its just 50km to Damaturu. You don't need a Rocket Scientist to tell you Boko Haram intend to use Gujuba as a launching base to attack Damaturu. But yet, the NA instead of recaputuring Gujuba at all cost to create a kinda of Buffer zone, they just stood and wait for Boko Haram to attack them, while they scramble to fight back.

Ghana Navy adjudged best in West Africa

Ghana Navy has been adjudged the best navy
in the West Africa sub-region by a renowned
international security agency, World Security
Watch.
The Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral
Geoffery Mawuli Biekro, who disclosed this,
said the achievement was based on discipline,
hard work and commitment exhibited by the
personnel who also as provided quality
surveillance on the country’s maritime domain.
He therefore entreated the personnel not to
rest on their oars but rather, strive for higher
successes in the coming years to enhance the
maritime security of the country for
accelerated national development.
Rear Admiral Biekro made this known at this
year’s Administrative Inspection parade by the
Western Naval Command in Sekondi on Friday.
The event was aimed at assessing the
operational readiness and performance of the
Command, as well as to take stock of its
challenges and plan the way forward.
Rear Admiral Biekro reviewed the parade that
comprised 188 ratings and 60 officers, who
displayed matching skills and drills with
dexterity, to the admiration of the civilian
population that thronged the Sekondi Naval
Base to witness the biennial ceremony.
He advised the officers who had just retired
from the Service to exercise extreme caution
when investing their monies in any venture to
avoid being defrauded or short changed.
He urged the retirees to seek sound financial
advice from financial experts so as to
safeguard their investments.
The Chief of the Naval Staff indicated that 368
housing units would be allocated to the Navy
when the Ministry of Works, Housing and
Water Resources completes its housing project,
to improve acute accommodation situation
faced by the military.
He gave the assurance that a number of
projects are being executed by the government
to improve on the operational, administrative
and welfare of personnel, saying “a healthy
mind lives in a healthy body”.
According to him, an electronic security
surveillance device had been secured by the
navy, to improve surveillance of the country’s
territorial waters, to halt illicit drug trading,
piracy, bunkering and any other illegal
activities being undertaken on the high seas.
He commended the Western Naval Command
for judicious use of resources and providing
excellent security over the years and,
therefore, charged them to maintain the
momentum.
Rear Admiral Biekro on behalf of the naval
headquarters presented four buses to the
Command for its operational and
administrative purposes.
The Flag Officer Commanding the Western
Naval Command, Commodore Godson Kwablay
Zowonoo, assured that the Command would
provide proper maintenance of the buses to
prolong their life span.
Some naval personnel who distinguished
themselves in line of duty were rewarded.

They momentarily got rid of Biafra with empty promises to outside powers and criminals. When it got to 'paycheck' time the powers were greeted with a monumental scam in the name of Indigenization policy. Britain lost a chunk of her investments, Russia got no foothold, Arab Egypt and Sudan eventually got OIC, and the rest of Nigeria got 40 year born-to-rule hegemony. But in life there's always a second chance, and for those powers that chance is now.

Yesterday Gowon was saying America was not Nigeria's friend and ally because they refused to sell Nigeria fighter jets durin the civil war to 'chase Biafra's B25's away' from Nigeria's air space. He said, "we were not asking to shoot it down but to chase it away. we wanted to stop it from throwing bombs and killing innocent people, that's why we want to chase it away but America refused to sell us fighters." Story for the gods! Ironically, this same Gowon who said he didn't want to shoot down a jet, just merely chasing it away, was ok with Nigerian jets strafing and blasting innocent women and children in markets, schools, and hospitals on the Biafran side.

Sometimes I wonder if these people realized we're many and alive in Nigeria. It seems when they talk about what they did to our fathers and our homeland, they assume no single 'Biafran' is alive so let's justify and heap all atrocities on dead Biafrans - the dead can't hear so what a heck! Too bad Gowon, you didn't get everyone, so we can hear you loud and clear. We know what happened and someday Biafra's time will come. But until then, we leave Nigeria with the Repo man for Gowon's overdue and unpaid fees.

I believe God is keeping Gowon alive to punish him for his hypocrisy and lies he had held unto for 40yrs.
