The age of consent in those American states only applies to teenage girls and boys. If an adult man or woman has sex with a child they will be sentenced to jail for the offence known as Statutory Rape. What happens in the North is very different. A 50 year old man can marry a 6 year old in the North because of Islamic law which allows this. Unfortunately for Speed, he will be judged by higher moral standards than what applies in the North CommonSense1967: Pedophile.
Ojuwkwu and Obi married underage girls, but you love to cry out about these Northerners as if it doesn't happen in your area too. You can marry underage girls in many countries, even in the US.. In some States, the parents just have to give consent. You cannot have sex with an underage girl whom you have not married. That is considered RAPE.
Dr. Ben Carson's mother, Sonya Carson, was 13 years old when she married his father, Robert Solomon Carson Jr. Till this very day, in some States in the US, you can marry an underage girl with the consent of the parents.
These states technically do not have a lower age limit, although they require parental consent and/or judicial approval for minors to marry: California Mississippi New Mexico Oklahoma States with a Minimum Age of 15 Hawaii Kansas States with a Minimum Age of 16 Many states have a minimum age of 16 for marriage with parental consent.
These criminals are always looking for excuses once they are caught. This guy should be locked up for RAPE. |

South African Mom who sold daughter, 6, so her eyes and skin could be cut out and used for 'medicine' gets life in prison
A mom who sold her 6-year-old daughter so her skin and eyes could be cut out and used by a “traditional healer” had been sentenced to life in prison in South Africa.
Racquel “Kelly” Smith, her boyfriend Jacquen Appollis, and their friend Steveno van Rhyn were all handed life sentences more than a year after the mysterious disappearance of Joshlin Smith from outside her home near Cape Town.
When Joshlin first disappeared, her mother was a figure of sympathy, and pictures of the girl’s striking green eyes, pigtails and broad smile were shared across the country.
https://www.hostpic.org/images/2505292149190113.jpg
6-year-old Joshlin Smith mysteriously vanished from outside her home near Cape Town last year.
Smith showed no emotion as her sentence was handed down, bringing an end to an eight-week trial that had to be moved to a local stadium so horrified members of the community could bear witness.
She admitted to selling her daughter to a traditional healer, or sangoma, for 20,000 rand ($1,100), and said the girl was desired for her “eyes and skin,” a witness told the court.
Joshlin’s body has still not been found despite an extensive nationwide search since she went missing in February 2024.
The trio are believed to have sold the little girl to the healer to fund their drug addictions, the court heard.
Mom-of-three Smith was described as manipulative and had shown “no indication of remorse” or concern over her daughter’s disappearance, Judge Nathan Erasmus said in court.
All three were also sentenced to a concurrent 10 years imprisonment for kidnapping.
“I am also ordering the entry of your names to the child protection register. There is nothing that I can find that is redeeming and deserving of a lesser sentence than the harshest I can impose,” Judge Erasmus told the defendants.
There were cheers in the courtroom as the verdict was read out.
Joshlin’s distraught grandmother, Amanda Smith Daniels, was present in court for the verdict, wearing a white shirt emblazoned with images of her granddaughter.
During the initial search for the girl, one government minister offered a one-million-rand reward ($54,000) for Joshlin’s safe return.
The girl was desired for her “eyes and skin,” a witness told the court.
But sympathy for Smith evaporated when prosecutors first alleged that she had sold her daughter to a healer.
Since the start of the trial in March, witnesses, including the girl’s former teacher and a pastor, said that Smith had told them of the planned sale of her child as far back as 2023.
The ongoing search for Joshlin has now been extended beyond South Africa’s borders, police said on Thursday.
South Africa has one of the highest crime rates in the world, with soaring rates of child kidnapping.
In the last year, the Rainbow Nation saw more than 17,000 kidnappings, an 11% increase on the previous year, according to police statistics. https://nypost.com/2025/05/29/world-news/south-african-mom-kelly-smith-sentenced-to-life-in-prison-for-trafficking-6-year-old-daughter-joshlin-smith/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=nypost

Politics › Only 19% Of Nigerians Pay Taxes, Says FIRS Boss by BlackViper(op): 2:28pm On May 29, 2025 |
Zacch Adedeji, the executive chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), says studies have shown that only 19 percent of Nigerians pay tax.
Adedeji spoke on Tuesday at the launch of a book, titled ‘Taxation: Essential Knowledge for Nigerian Children by the FIRS’.
The FIRS chairman was represented by Aisha Mahmoud, his special adviser on research and statistics.
He said the book, written by Aderonke Atoyebi and Ejura Haruna, was fully supported by the FIRS to help educate the younger generation on the importance of tax payment.
“First of all, I want to say that we have run a couple of studies and we have found out that tax compliance is positively correlated with tax education,” he said.
“When children are educated, they grow up to become responsible people, pay their taxes and do what is right. We have carried out studies and we have found out that only 19 percent of Nigerians pay taxes.
“Other studies have shown that only 10 percent of people pay taxes. Because we rely so much on research and investigations, some have shown that only 10–15 percent of citizens pay taxes.
“We think that this is decimally low compared to other countries, even in Africa. We have come up with the initiative to ensure that we partner with other government institutions, individuals, like this one, to propagate, encourage, educate, and create awareness for our younger ones.
“Why? Because it is easier to make younger children to become tax compliant when they grow up than reform tax-dodging adults.
“That is why we support anywhere that there are initiatives to publish books like we have done today.”
Adedeji said building a generation of tax-compliant citizens would lead to greater demand for accountability and ensure public funds are used transparently and responsibly.
“When they are taught and they are subjects on taxation from the primary level, especially, and the secondary school level, when they reach the university, they have already known about that civil duty,” the FIRS boss said.
“It is not only the students of accounting that should know about taxation, a lot of people are not aware of tax issues, and that is why they dodge and that is why they evade paying taxes.”
The taxman said including tax education in primary and secondary school curricula would shape children’s mindset towards responsible citizenship and tax compliance.
60,000 COPIES TO BE DISTRIBUTED NATIONWIDE’
Atoyebi, the book’s co-author and technical assistant on broadcast media to the chairman, said 60,000 copies, produced free of charge, will be distributed across the six geopolitical zones with support from the FIRS and Sprezzatura Publishing.
She said the book was designed to bridge the gap between citizens and tax authorities by helping children understand the purpose and benefits of taxation.
“They always say that nobody wants to pay tax. This is why we’re catching them young, to let them know that some of the social amenities they have access to, some of the infrastructural facilities we have in the nation today are being funded via revenue generated,” Atoyebi said.
“We are teaching them about taking civic responsibility. The book addresses civic responsibility, governance, how to be a serious adult. The importance of that position. What are we using taxes for? Taxes do not go to personal accounts. It goes to government accounts. In return, the government uses it to fund infrastructure, social amenities, to give us a good life.”
On education tax, she said some of the revenue collected goes to education, “especially TETFund”.
She added that the book used comic illustrations and simple language to make tax education easy and enjoyable for children by breaking down technical terms into basic English. https://www.thecable.ng/icymi-only-19-of-nigerians-pay-taxes-says-firs-boss/

Science/Technology › 3 Killer Asteroids Could Hit Earth In A Few Weeks by BlackViper(op): 11:51am On May 29, 2025 |
3 Killer asteroids could strike Earth within weeks — generating a million times more energy than Hiroshima atomic bomb
Good things don’t come in threes.
Venus is concealing at least three city-killer asteroids that could strike Earth in weeks without warning, potentially wreaking havoc upon our planet before we can react.
“Twenty co-orbital asteroids [space rocks in the orbit of two celestial bodies] of Venus are currently known,” the authors warned in the arockcalyptic study, which was published in the journal “Astronomy & Astrophysics.”
The international research team, led by Valerio Carruba of São Paulo University in Brazil, wrote that at least three of the asteroids — 2020 SB, 524522 and 2020 CL1 — that circle the sun in tandem with our twin planet have unstable orbits that take them dangerously close to Earth, the Daily Mail reported.
If this shaky trajectory is shifted only slightly by a small gravitational change or other force, the asteroids could be set on a collision course with our planet, per the study.
“Co-orbital status protects these asteroids from close approaches to Venus, but it does not protect them from encountering Earth,” the researchers warned, according to the Daily Galaxy.
Carruba & Co. came to this conclusion by using imitation space rocks to simulate a range of possible outcomes over 36,000 years, finding that there is a sizable population of low-eccentricity asteroids — those previously thought to be harmless — that could be propelled toward Earth via gravitational shifts and other factors.
To make matters worse, the aforementioned cosmic rocks’ orbits make them almost invisible to Earthly detection devices.
While scientists at NASA and other space agencies routinely track potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids, the telescopes can’t spot rocks in a suborbital path with Venus due to the sun’s glare, which shields them like a cosmic cloaking device, WION reported.
Due to this interstellar blind spot, the Rubin Observatory in Chile would have only two to four weeks to spot deadly asteroids, leaving us little time if they were on a collision course.
For reference, a mission to engineer something that could deflect a killer space rock generally takes years to formulate.
“Low-e [low eccentricity] Venus co-orbitals pose a unique challenge, because of the difficulties in detecting and following these objects from Earth,” the authors wrote in their conclusion.
It would be bad news if one of these intergalactic gravelstones hit home.
Asteroids 2020 SB, 524522 and 2020 CL1 measure between 330 and 1,300 feet in diameter, making each one capable of destroying entire cities and causing massive fires and tsunamis, the Daily Mail reported.
An impact would leave a crater over two miles wide and generate 1 million times more energy than the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, in 1945.
Unfortunately, due to the constraints of terrestrial monitoring equipment, we may have to look to the stars for a solution.
“We believe that only a dedicated observational campaign from a space-based mission near Venus could potentially map and discover all the still ‘invisible’ PHA [potentially hazardous asteroids] among Venus’ co-orbital asteroids,” the authors wrote.
However, the powers that be better hurry, as researchers predict that co-orbital asteroids’ orbits could become unpredictable in just more than 150 years — a blip in the interstellar timescale. https://nypost.com/2025/05/28/science/3-city-killing-asteroids-could-strike-earth-within-weeks-generating-a-million-times-more-energy-than-hiroshima-atomic-bomb/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=nypost

Hamas leader Mohammad Sinwar killed in Gaza after Israel airstrikes – 7 months after his brother also eliminated
The Israeli Prime Minister said on Wednesday that one of the terror group's most wanted figures and younger brother of infamous Yahya Sinwar had been killed.
Netanyahu told parliament while reading a list of Hamas leaders killed in Israeli blitzes: "We eliminated Mohammad Sinwar."
It comes after reports that the chief, who was also one of the October 7 masterminds, had likely been killed in an Israeli airstrike on May 13.
Israel appears to have successfully eliminated Sinwar Jr by bombing what it said was Hamas' command centre under the European Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip.
The IDF is believed to have used bunker-busting bombs to target the underground complex.
Hamas said at least 40 people had been injured in the attack.
It reportedly targeted the exits of the subterranean compound with the aim of preventing the escape of any survivors.
Defence Minister Israel Katz reportedly revealed earlier this month that the body of Mohammad Sinwar had been discovered in a tunnel in Khan Younis.
Sinwar took command from his older brother Yahya Sinwar, the main architect of the October 7 attacks, after the boss was killed by the IDF in October 2024.
While speaking to parliament, Netanyahu said: "We eliminated tens of thousands of terrorists, Mohammad Deif, Hassan Nasrallah, Yahya Sinwar, Mohammad Sinwar, and seized the Rafah and Morag crossings.
"In the last two days, we've been executing a dramatic plan toward the complete defeat of Hamas.
Israel targets Hamas leader ‘The Shadow’ in strike on HQ after he took command from his slain brother ‘Gaza’s Bin Laden’
He added: "We're taking control of their food distribution and money machine. This is what destroys their governing capabilities.
"That's what we promised."
According to the Wall Street Journal, Israeli minister Israel Katz told a closed-door parliamentary meeting on May 18 that Sinwar was dead "beyond all indications".
Now that the terror leader's death has been confirmed, it leaves a power vacuum at the head of Hamas.
Experts fear a power struggle between its military and political wings.
Sinwar took command of Hamas' military wing after Mohammad Deif was killed last July and later took over the entire terror group after his brother was killed.
He was believed to have been behind the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in 2006 - which eventually led to the release of his brother in a prisoner swap.
He was also named by experts as Hamas's most senior commander in Gaza alongside Izz al-Din Haddad.
According to Israeli officials, Izz al-Din Haddad and Sinwar hold the most influence when it comes to the negotiating the release of the hostages.
There are 58 remaining Israeli hostages being held by Hamas, around 21 of which are believed to still be alive.
Who was Muhammad Sinwar?
Mohammad Sinwar was the leader of the Hamas terror group in Gaza that continues to hold Israeli hostages.
He was believed to be around 50 years old and has been operating largely behind the scenes, earning him the nickname "The Shadow".
Like his older brother, he joined Hamas at an early age and was considered close to the head of the group's armed wing, Mohammed Deif.
Mohammad was also believed to have been behind the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in 2006 which eventually led to the release of his brother in a prisoner swap.
He was named by political analysts as Hamas's most senior commander in Gaza alongside Izz al-Din Haddad - and according to Israeli officials they have the final say in the ongoing hostage negotiations.
The older Sinwar was dubbed Gaza's Osama bin Laden after he carved out a bloody reputation for killing his enemies with his bare hands.
It comes after harrowing footage showed the moment thousands of Gazans overran a US and Israel-backed aid site just hours after it opened.
Citizens desperate for food are said to have broken through the fences of the compound to reach the humanitarian aid, with shots reportedly fired.
The US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) said the sheer number of people seeking aid at its distribution site was so great, its team had to pull back so people could "take aid safely and dissipate". https://www.the-sun.com/news/14342177/hamas-leader-muhammad-sinwar-eliminated-gaza/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sunyoutubestories

Politics › Proposed Lagos-Abidjan Highway Corridor To Cost $15 Billion-ADB by BlackViper(op): 11:43am On May 28, 2025 |
The African Development Bank (AfDB) has confirmed plans to invest $15 billion into the long-anticipated Lagos-Abidjan Highway Corridor, an infrastructure project expected to boost regional trade and mobility across five West African nations.
The announcement was made during the formal opening ceremony of the 2025 Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank Group, held in Abidjan. In a keynote address by Dr Akinwumi A. Adesina, the President of the AfDB Group emphasised the strategic importance of the corridor and its potential to transform West Africa’s economic landscape. He also expressed gratitude as he bowed out of the AfDB presidency: "As I complete my two five-year terms as President of the African Development Bank, I am proud of the legacy we are leaving behind for my successor, for the Bank, and for Africa," he stated. "The Bank supported the Noor Ouarzazate solar complex in Morocco, which was the world’s largest concentrated solar power plant at the time of its completion." "We launched the Lagos to Abidjan highway corridor for which the African Development Bank is supporting the feasibility studies, and we have mobilised $15billion in investment interests," Adesina stated. "In Nigeria, we are implementing the development of special agro-industrial processing zones in 8 States and the FCT and have mobilized $2.9 billion to support the establishment of these zones in 28 more States of Nigeria." He added: "We have stood by countries that were under sanctions to clear their debt arrears to the Bank, including Somalia and Sudan." "Over the 10-year period under my presidency, the African Development Bank would have provided a total of $102 billion in support to Africa. This represents 46% of all the financing of the Bank since its establishment in 1964." "The African Development Bank financed over $55 billion in support of infrastructure, from roads, rails, airports, seaports, digital and communications, health, water and sanitation." Stretching approximately 1028 kilometers, the Lagos-Abidjan Highway Corridor will traverse Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire, connecting major urban and economic hubs along the West African coast. Once completed, the highway is expected to catalyse commerce across the ECOWAS region, reduce travel times, lower logistics costs, and enhance regional integration in line with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) goals. Dr. Adesina’s announcement came as he reflected on a decade of leadership at the helm of the AfDB, during which the Bank delivered $102billion in support to African nations — representing nearly half of the institution’s total financing since its founding in 1964. "We accelerated regional integration with massive support for infrastructure to support the African Continental Free Trade Area," Adesina noted, highlighting the Bank’s investments in railways, roads, ports, and energy systems across the continent. Among the major transport corridors supported by the AfDB are: "The Addis Ababa–Nairobi–Mombasa corridor, which reduced travel time from three days to one. "Tanzania’s $3.2 billion standard gauge railway project." "The Senegambia Bridge linking Senegal and The Gambia, which slashed travel time from two days to under ten minutes." Adesina pointed to tangible improvements in the lives of over 565 million Africans due to the Bank’s interventions in energy access, health, sanitation, ICT, food security, and infrastructure. The AfDB’s infrastructure investments alone totalled over $55 billion in the past ten years. In Côte d’Ivoire, the host country of the 2025 Annual Meetings, the Bank’s financial support grew by 500% over the last decade, contributing to flagship projects like the Henri Konan Bédié Bridge and the iconic 4th Bridge in Abidjan. Dr. Adesina also acknowledged strong support from African leaders, including Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, for approving the $500 million replenishment of the Nigeria Trust Fund for another 15 years. As his presidency nears its conclusion, Dr. Adesina reaffirmed his commitment to the continent: "I am extremely proud of the work we have done and the incredible impact the Bank has had on the daily lives of millions of Africans... I will continue to serve Africa today and well into the future by God’s grace." The African Development Bank also launched a $750 million hybrid capital offering on the global capital market in 2024, becoming the first multilateral financial institution in the world to do so and opening up a new asset class for investors globally. He further noted: "The African Development Bank spearheaded (together with the Inter-American Development Bank) the framework to allow the re-channeling of the IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) to multilateral development banks, which we can leverage by 4–8 times to provide much-needed concessional financing at scale." "As my mandate as President of the Bank draws to a close, I am extremely proud of the work we have done and the incredible impact the Bank has had on the daily lives of millions of Africans. This has been a collaborative effort that we can all take great pride in." https://saharareporters.com/2025/05/28/african-development-bank-confirms-plan-spend-15billion-lagos-abidjan-highway-corridorMynd44 Lalasticlala Nlfpmod |
Politics › Wife Of Ex-Army Chief Faruk Yahaya Detains Soldier Over Missing $50,000 by BlackViper(op): 5:44pm On May 27, 2025 |
Nigerian Army Keeps Mum As Wife Of Ex-Chief Faruk Yahaya Detains Soldier For Weeks Over 'Missing $50,000'
The Nigerian Army has kept a disturbing silence over the illegal detention and alleged torture of a young female soldier, Amina Sani Maidoki, who has been locked away for over six weeks on the orders of Salamatu Faruk Yahaya, wife of the immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya (retd).
The 25-year-old soldier, who served as an aide-de-camp (ADC) to Mrs. Yahaya, was accused of stealing $50,000 from the ex-army chief’s residence in Abuja and has since been held incommunicado, without trial, access to legal representation, or any formal charge.
Despite growing outrage, the Nigerian Army has continued to look the other way.
When SaharaReporters contacted the army spokesperson, Lt Col Onyinyechi Anele, earlier this month, she claimed ignorance of the matter and promised to investigate.
Since then, she has neither responded to further inquiries nor issued any official comment.
Family members now say they are facing threats and harassment for demanding justice.
A family source added: “They stop everybody from visiting her. No trial even in the military way. The woman is just doing it unofficially.”
“She is still under illegal detention,” a relative told SaharaReporters.
“Her brother was there a few weeks ago because he was invited by them. They asked him to bring his bank statements and they saw nothing implicating there.”
“They invited him because they thought he helped Amina to steal the money, but they saw nothing to that effect.”
“But now, they’ve told us not to come again. The family has stopped visiting her entirely because of threats from the Nigerian Army,” the source added.
The situation has sparked fears of an orchestrated effort to scapegoat Amina for a crime no court has heard, no police authority has investigated, and for which no evidence has been made public.
A SaharaReporters' investigation had previously exposed how the young sergeant was summarily arrested from her duty post on April 3, 2025, and taken straight into custody on the orders of Mrs. Yahaya.
Sources said she was first detained at the former army chief’s residence before being moved to the guardroom at General Yakubu Gowon Barracks, Abuja.
“She was taken from their house straight into detention and later moved to a military facility where they torture her every day to force a confession,” a family member said.
“They’ve seized her belongings and insisted she must repay the money before she’s released.”
SaharaReporters also learnt that Salamatu Yahaya had warned soldiers around her not to allow the issue to "get to social media."
But as pressure mounts and hopes for justice dwindle, Amina’s relatives say they have been left with no choice but to speak out.
“Our daughter is being abused, her rights violated, and no one is saying anything,” a source close to the family said. “Even if they think she stole the money, why not charge her to court? Why torture her and hold her like a criminal without any proof?”
SaharaReporters saw that the army has neither issued a formal statement on the matter nor launched any transparent investigation.
Instead, it appears to be shielding the former first lady of the barracks, while a low-ranking female soldier bears the brunt of unlawful detention and cruel treatment.
Efforts by the family to seek legal redress have also hit a brick wall as they have been denied access to Amina and kept in the dark about her condition. https://saharareporters.com/2025/05/27/nigerian-army-keeps-mum-wife-ex-chief-faruk-yahaya-detains-soldier-weeks-over-missing

You're right about Yoruba Muslims, although I think that in their case, they weren’t always like this. In the past (in the 1960s, 70s, 80s etc) Yoruba Muslims didn't mix religion with politics. Even when MKO Abiola ran for the presidency in 1993 with Babagana Kingibe as his running mate, only a few people were worried about the implications of having a Muslim-Muslim presidency because everyone knew the kind of man Abiola was and they knew that he wasn't a religious fanatic. But that is no longer the case. In the 1990s, people like MURIC would have been laughed out of the Yoruba political space, but now, not only are they accommodated, they are obeyed. Like I said in my earlier post, the only man who understood what to do with Northern Nigeria was the late Gideon Orkar and with everyday that has passed since they murdered him, his prophecy about what will happen to Nigeria if the North was not thrown out of Nigeria, has continued to come true. Zooposki: He should have included South West Muslims too. South West Muslims and Fulani/Hausa Muslims should be in one country. I'm also tempted to include Biafrans too.
South West muslims and Fulani/Hausa Muslims in one country. What a glorious country it will be. |

Boko Haram means "education is a sin"
I have always said that Boko Haram already existed in Northern Nigeria as a core part of Northern Nigerian identity, long before it was weaponised and became a military insurgency.
Everything this man has said is true, but greedy Southern and Middle Belt politicians have betrayed their people in pursuance of their own selfish interests.
Gideon Orkar was the only man who truly understood how to get Nigeria to work. |
