US President Donald Trump has decided to temporarily suspend raids on farms, hotels and restaurants, according a media report. The US government has ordered immigration officials to pause raids and arrests on farms, hotels and restaurants, according to a report by the New York Times. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were sent a directive asking that they refrain from heading to such establishments, which also include meatpacking plants and aquaculture. This decision was communicated through an official email sent last Thursday, according to information confirmed by three US officials who spoke to the Times. Peter Obi is not a team player, he is a failure - Kenneth Okonkwo |
yyba:They have started saying Atiku because of the coalition that is not working |
1. Atiku Abubakar – A serial presidential contestant and habitual political defector. He has long faced allegations of misappropriating funds from the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) and is widely criticized for selling off national assets to his associates during the privatization era. Atiku’s frequent party switches raise concerns about his ideological commitment, consistency, and sincerity in public service. 2. Rotimi Amaechi– Former Governor of Rivers State and ex-Minister of Transportation. He has been repeatedly accused of mismanaging public funds, including controversial sales of state assets during his governorship. As Minister, allegations of inflated rail contracts and lack of accountability persisted. His leadership has been criticized for fostering a culture of impunity and political strong-arming. 3. Nasir El-Rufai – Former Minister of the FCT and ex-Governor of Kaduna State. Known for his authoritarian style, El-Rufai has been accused of deepening ethno-religious divisions in Kaduna. His tenure as FCT Minister was marred by allegations of selective demolition and land allocation scandals. His controversial governance tactics and divisive rhetoric have drawn national and international criticism. He is currently facing charges against him for corruption 4. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso – Former Governor of Kano State and former Minister of Defence. Accusations include diverting public funds through questionable scholarship programs and promoting a patronage system that enriched loyalists at the expense of the public. His populist style is viewed by critics as a cover for political favoritism and administrative opacity. 5. Peter Obi– Former Governor of Anambra State, accused of diverting state resources to support his private business interests. He refused to conduct Local Government elections for seven years, raising questions about his commitment to democracy. Obi has also faced allegations of human rights violations and Ezu River killing during his tenure, political inconsistency, blame-shifting, and offering no concrete vision or actionable developmental blueprint. He has no visible legacy project. 6. Bala Mohammed – Governor of Bauchi State and former FCT Minister, frequently linked to corruption allegations, including irregular land allocations in Abuja and misuse of public funds. Accused of nepotism and weak governance, Bala’s leadership has been questioned for prioritizing personal and political interests over institutional integrity. 7. Seyi Makinde– Governor of Oyo State, under scrutiny for non-transparent contract awards and concentration of state projects among close associates. Allegations also include poor handling of education and healthcare sectors, as well as questionable financial practices before and during his tenure in office. |

Governor Alex Otti speaks on President Tinubu economic policies after yesterday's late night meeting with Senator Uzor Kalu (APC) “When you talk about supporting President Tinubu, the President and I are very good friends and our friendship predates party politics and current positions; we agree on so many issues, and as it is natural, we know where we disagree. But, when you talk about the economy, what Mr. President is doing has always been my position for a long time,” the Governor asserted, urging people to go back and read his columns at the back of Thisday Newspaper, some years back, especially during the Covid-19, where he said that it was time to remove fuel subsidy when off-takers were rejecting crude shipped to them, saying that they have no need for it. “So, it requires somebody with courage to remove that subsidy and I am in support of it. We have behaved in an irresponsible manner for a very long time. And, when you have years of irresponsible behavior, the correction would be tough, difficult, and painful. It is the correction that we are going through now; if we don’t lose faith, we will eventually get it right. “So, talking about supporting the President, it’s a no-brainer; I will continue to support him because it is the same administration https://x.com/iReporteronline/status/1931990480151036340

Babamide:Thanks for the clarification |
@CalebMutfwang I had the privilege of a heart-to-heart discussion with H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the state of our nation. I also expressed deep appreciation for directing accelerated design on the 4th Legacy Project of the Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi and Gombe corridor to enable procurement commence. This crucial corridor, which serves as a gateway to the North East, will stimulate economic activities and uplift living standards. I equally commended the Federal Government for the swift reconstruction of the collapsed bridge linking Shendam LGA to surrounding communities and Taraba State. We are working towards sustained improvement in road infrastructure, citizen welfare, and national security.

President Donald Trump on Saturday said there would be “serious consequences” if tech mogul Elon Musk funds Democratic candidates to run against Republicans who vote in favor of the GOP’s sweeping budget bill, NBC News reports. Said Trump: “If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that.” “The president also said he has no desire to repair his relationship with Musk after a feud between the two men erupted into public view earlier this week.” https://politicalwire.com/2025/06/07/trump-says-hell-punish-musk-if-he-helps-democrats/ |
