A) who in their right minds (apart from desperate illegal immigrants) works 7 days a week for the rest of their lives?
B) better yet, how can a family of 4 survive on £1500 monthly (£18K per year) in a place like London (for example)? if you have a family of 4 and earn £1500 monthly (£18K per yr) in London, you are POOR!
C) comparing wages in the UK with its equivalent in Naira, is one of the reason why you will always fail in this issue. LONDON IS NOT LAGOS...dont get it twisted. in London with £18K per yr, by the time you finish paying rent/housing/food/transport, you will barely have money to pay for clothing/schooling/healthcare. just your monthly travel card will take no less than10-30% of your monthly salary (depending on how far away your work is).

for your information, travel card zone 1-2 cost £150, zone 1-9 cost £400 ...if you live/work in zone 1-2 then your rent price will kill you!!!!

So you are trying to tell me in a whole family only one person is wotking abi others are handicap. Besides you have two different jobs. Most ppl who leave in uk have no reason to complain unless u chose to do nothing

again, thats because you dont understand the point here... many have families/children/homes/bills to pay and can only get these yeye £8/hr jobs (especially if laid off at +40yrs old)...do you think you can feed a whole family with children with such salary?! wouldnt you consider such person POOR? you yourself, do you think that with your £8/hr as a single man you were not poor (simply because you could pay your school and small chop)?! do you think that someone who receive benefits from the gov aint poor? poverty aint just making money, its about NOT being able to afford basic needs such as food/Shelter/clothing/healthcare etc. many in the UK dont have that luxury. just because you are sharing a flat with 15people, and can afford indomie 3 times daily does not mean you aint poor. many are just an accident away from requesting a hospital stay that they cant afford, many are a paycheck away from being homeless, many are a paycheck away from being hungry. just because you go to the UK and manage to SURVIVE, does not mean there aint no poverty in the UK.

i guess in your mind, the 15% poverty line in the UK is a myth then... there is some much abundant jobs for everybody in the UK and immigrants like you taking up jobs left right and center is irrelevant to the poverty in the uk, right?! i guess the people lining up for work in jobcenters are rich people who are too lazy to work, yeah?

Mind you this is the least of jobs that can pay such amount. Ok lets do the math lets say you get paid 8p/hr and you work 7hrs daily. 8×7 =56pound a day. Multiply 56 by 1week, 56×7 = 392pound. After working for a month 392×4 = 1568pounds. Wait you call this peanut. 1568 by 750 in todays black market is 1.1million? This is one of the lowest you can earn like why do you think some nigerians take two jobs overseas? Do you know how much they are making? Talk more more of office jobs you can get higher pay

A) lack of parking?! drive long distance? i guess in your world, every single person in the US has a car, thus why they dont catch public transport abi? lol! just in New York, which has 3 major airports; 55% of households in NYC (aka 5 boroughs) dont own a car.
B) many people who live paycheck to paycheck in the US own a car and are still broke (thanls to car notes)!
C) as for you saying that there is no poverty in US/Europe (unless by choice)... you sir dont know what you are talking about. many people in US/Europe are poor because they can barely survive their paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. some cant even afford a home in places like NY/LA etc close to 40millions americans are poor, and immigration (legal/illegal) aint helping the numbers go down. same as Europe where poverty line is about 15% of the population (especially in places like France, UK, Spain, Italy)

there is poverty EVERYWHERE in the world...the difference is the percentage...in Africa its about the majority of population, in the US/UK its around 15/20% depending on where you look. i am talking people who cant even get money for food nor shelter. go to any of these trailer park in the US, thats where you will see real poverty with no drugs or anything affecting them.

Bro lemme clear in case you think you are talking to someone who is a novice to foreign land. When i was in the United Kingdom its by choice to be poor. You can easily get a job you want that can pay at least 8 pounds per hour. There are so many africans who work pay there school fees and still got to school. Being poor in uk is by choice.

Lemme be frank with you, you can travel anywhere you want just for 1 pound a day and that is very cheap. If you like you do a week plan or a month or a year, they call it student oyster. Dont let anyone deceive you that people are poor overseas.

Of course. That's what they did. Removal of fuel subsidy was important in 2012. It was when subsidy should have been removed.

Tinubu, the parties that would later become the APC, the NLC, etc mobilized to protest against the pertinent economic policy that was designed to reduce Nigeria's debt burden and channel decent allocation of resources to sectors of the economy that can hasten our development as a nation.

It is the very problem of democracy. The opposition does not protest because the policy will be bad for the Nation. They protest and counter genuine and wonderful policies to make citizens hate the incumbent government while planning to utilize the distrust in the next elections.

We can't remain stagnant because of politics. Tinubu was wrong in 2012 to lead the protest against the removal of subsidy. Today's opposition cannot do the wrong thing because Tinubu did it back then.

We're headed towards Venezuela's destination and things will get worse in the next 4 years if fuel subsidy doesn't go completely.

Because for a fact, I know that sectors like health and education, those areas are poorly funded by your state & Local Government?

The answer your question. What’s the difference between Jonathan, Tinubu or Buhari better look beyond all the political and tribal shenanigans.It should have been taken off 2012. But we all took the wrong approach then. It can be corrected in 2023.

The problem i have is if tinubu will actually use that money in different sectors like health and education because those areas where poorly funded. So we have to take a look at his budget and see if theres an improvement.
