If he show face peren!! Na there e go kpai trutharena: |
The subsidy removal is not the main issue, it was the blind devaluation of naira. I have posted this many times here. People are focused on the wrong thing. Currently, the government is even subsidising the fuel or petrol, hence you can buy at 850/900...landing cost is about 1500 due to the currency devaluation. Ikaeniyan0: |
Wjen insee fools like the poster bekow advocating fir Regional government as a solution to all Nigeriasproblems, it clearly shows that the people are so gullible. The question is, those that will run the Regional governments are they saints or angels from heaven ? Goodvibes007: |
He will survive this, for sure.....his coming back in 2027 is no longer a given....as it were some weeks back chiiraq802: |
With just one year, everyone has seen that the so called "strategist" actually has nothing upstairs. It is now clearer that the same "builder of Lagos" is suddenly clueless, the "Lion" of Borrdillion actually is cowardly, going by the recent "shaking" due to the looming protest. The man that has been working towards getting the job for more than 20 years only to become senile and befuddled when he got the job. The "creator of Lagos prosperity" has turned Nigeriaa prospering economy to one of the worst performing in Africa with an unprecedented inflation rate, devalued currency and losing its 1st place as Africa's largest, ti a shaming 4th place in less than 1 year. Things are getting terribly worse and he seems not to have any solution. I do not think his government can survive this, if at all it does, with the number of antagonists swelling up everyday and the incresding difficulty of defending him by even his ardent supporters, I don't think he can come back again. The antecedent is there. The only givernment that faced this much criticism in its early days and for which antagonists increased on a daiky basis due to incompetence, corruption and cluelessness was Jonathan's...he never survived it. Incidentally, Tinubu was one of the arrowheads of Jonathan's fall. Tinubu's failures are his arrant arrogation of intelligence to himself(what we know he lacks) , brazen fondness for gaffes and inability to take all things into consideration before making stupid decisions. He rushed to take some very poorly thought economic decisions all in the bid to claim a "bold reformer" He should have been smart to see that the subsidy and currency devaluation issues were big traps that the previous administrations managed and set up for him....unfortunately he was not intelligent or sophisticated enough to see...despite all the nonsense catchy titles they arrogated to his name The people that killed his administration In my view are the ones who advised him to devalue the currency. The genesis of his problem came from that and not the fuel subsidy removal(that is back anyways). He can't recover from that lai lai.... His economic treatment is completely confused now. He shoukd never have listened to those who told him naira was overvalued.....and if they devalued it, naira will prevaricate to 700/800(Edun and Cardoso). They have gone quiet because they are lost.....economically, his government is clueless.....going...going The stars are aligned for him to either be the first leader in Nigeria to be chased out of government or he faces Jonathan's fate. I don't see him coming back in 2027. His government is gone...from what I can see.. He may survive this...but 2027 is no longer a given.. as it were some months back |
What mess?? A lot of you are dafts...you just swallow the nonsense pushed out by the Government as the gospel truth. Government removes subsidy because they can't fund it for the masses but have enough of borrowed money on behalf of same masses to buy yatch, private jets, news Mercedes maybach for his wife, lots of suvs for his aides, new house for the VP, etc. Philipponzaghi: |
Lol...Oponu is still blaming Buhari...when Tinubu is the true definition of incompetence stonemasonn: |
Arrest for what? You are too dense For calling him an associate of drug dealers?? Which is in the open. They can't try that.. the government will lose the case and it will end up exposing Tinubu the more Ola9ja23: |
Weyrey |
Not sure this one read the post....gibberish! Chinkoalhaji34: |
Lol....the difference? Northerners killed Nkrtherners....let Tinubu kill Northerners like that and lets see what will happen? DeOTR: |
Not in the name of protesting against Tinubu. They can be killing themselves but kill them in the name of one kafir from the south....lol saxywale1: |
Laughable personal conjecture Protest cannot remove Tinubu, we all knew that, but can certainly damage his chances of reelection. The only other government that suffered this huge national resistance was Jonathan...he never survived it. Mark this post. Talking about his useless inner caucus of security heads...most coups/revolutions are no carried out by Security heads, they are done by middle ranking officers and other revolutionaries...his inner caucus is useless if anything wants to happen. Read enough history and jettison your nonsense about security heads in his inner causcus...they are sitting ducks when their junior officers, rank and file mean business. Tinubu does not care if the country breaks?? This beats me. Why is he panicky and restless then, over si simple protests that faceless Nigerians want to embark on??. As daft as he is, he knows that if this gains momentum, international acknowledgement(like that of Kenya) and it turns violent, he is a goner. He used the same tactics before, he is not as daft as thinking that he doesn't care if the country breaks. That is too simpleton, bro. Even if the protest does not achieve anything,it has successfully increased the number of those who now detest his leadership and would swell the camp of those who want him out....good will gone too soon, in less than 1 yesr.... his administration is dogged already. Certainly its now clear to everyone that he is completely clueless and not the "strategist" nonsense they sold out to the public. He is also surprisingky unintelligent, going by the way he fell into the some trap set for him by the preceding administration. His loquaciousness and penchant for compulsive decions have doomed his administration. Either ways, 2027 is no longer certain. Lets see what unfolds in coming days. I pray he fall into the trap that is being g set up for him in the North...let them kill some people there. Tflex01: |
Tinubu is jittery |
If e sure for you...pray make sem shoot or kill northern protesters in Kano..... You go understand why Tinubu dey shake where he is now.....Northern votes put him in power because we all know him to be corrupt and clueless down south Tflex01: |
What people don't realise is that the Northern youths don't need all these treacherous and back stabbing Union leaders...... These protests emanated from the North, if it spreads there in the North and the government dares make a mistake of turning it violent....Tinubu is gone. He may not be removed eventually but second term is gone!! Mark this post. |
In fact, my prayer is that the government make that huge mistake of killing the northern youths.....May God lead them to do that blunder....I pray so fevertly dragunov: |
He has written nonsense. Buhari was a far more pragmatic president compared to this looter called Tinubu The two things he need to do to reverse the downward trajectory if his givernment are: 1. Reverse the devaluation of naira 2. Release subsidy gradually. Unless that two, especially the first one.....inflation will hit 300% |
This is an oponu omor yoruba.....some people are using the wealth of your future generation to take of their own enjoyment today by using g your scarce resources to import fuel, but here you are fighting the person that can help improve local production while you are supporting thieves just because he is from your tribe. I am from the southwest too but i know clearly that Tinubu is corrupt and a bloody thief.. he needs to be booted out. SensualMan: |
The real demonstration and protest is in yhe North, these ones are just using NANS name to cash out. Like I have said, Tinubu must pray for 2 things 1. That the protest does not gain momentum and spread in the core North 2. That the security men do not become overzealous to turn ot into a violent one If these two above happen, Tinubu is gone!! |
Eleriburuku |
Whether this protest succeeds or not, I am happy. This administration will live with the consequence till the end of this term.. Mind you, no government or administration in Nigeria, having faced so much criticism and independent opposition from the masses like this, early in its life, comes back for a second term. Jonathan's is an example. Coming back of this fake "strategist" ....e go hard!! |
That attachment by jaypaul on your quote get sense. There are 2 things Tinubu must now pray for 1. That the protest does not gain ground or acceptability in the core North 2. That the security forces do not turn it violent and resort to killing people. If those 2 above happen, his government is gone....gone...gone!!! Even if the protest does not get massive support, the damage to his presidency is capital and the stupid folklore around him being an "intelligent strategist" have been completely demystified....nobody can sell us that giberrish anymore.....he is shaking as he is and his second term is not yet conclusive. papyjaypaul: |
My prayers for this protest are 1. It gains massive support and spread in the core North 2. It turns violent and the Security forces mishandle it and resort to killing people With the 2 above, Tinubu's administration will be doomed and 2nd term chances forgone. If people are thinking the SW will gibe him votes, the apathy from the electorates due to bad governance would discourage anyone. Just like he did to Jonathan's govt, his is going...going... |
...they are using the oro people after giving them some change....but these oro people are stupid...their religion is not even recognised by the states...but whenever they want to use their religion for dirty jobs..they call on them...and the foolishly agree after some thousands of naira is paid to them...imagine ![]() |
I have read a lot of daft comments on the economy on nairaland, some bordering on pure imbecility and ignorance, I have to say this one below ranks atop all of those. Just imagine all the nonsense, lies, incongruence and ludicrous misconception all polled into one post. UK/US devalue their currency ![]() Exchange rate is not a measure of well being...for a country who imports more than 2/3rds of it GDP and import dependent? Exchange rate a tool to help a country increase her productivity ?...at this point I stopped readingFreetech: |
Spot on!! Just like Fashola was found out to be loud and empty...all the noises of building lagos...strategist...brilliant accountant....na wash. Mindsetmindset: |
....Naira was floated ....No, it was not fully floated, see excerpt from LinkedIn to confirm it was floated but not fully floated ....No,it was fully floated but later action from the government was to balance things .....No currency is fully floated .....oh, Government is borrowing to defend Naira(but it is still floated) ....bla bla bla.... Oponu!! Go to school, they will not hear..se his life outside DaddyCoool: |
....and this is somebody's father/husband/brother/boyfriend/girlfriend![]() ![]() ....if only someone in your household coukd do you a favour by taking the phone off you or wipe off your data so you stop disgracing yourself and them in public like this.....by dancing in circles and contradicting yourself.... Assuming it is not even fully floated and let us follow your warped sense of reasoning....is is not more sinister to claim you no longer fix an exchange rate but you borrow at exorbitant rates and unfavourable terms against the future oil production to keep the naira at a rate tgat is even killing your economy the more all in the bame of flaoting I shudder at the level of reasoning of some these Tinubu supporters online. It's like they went to quranic schools instead of proper schools. Something must be wrong with you genetically. I believe so. DaddyCoool: |
