Hello sir,

my wife just apply for the cr1 visa for me and my international passport is going to expire next month march, I will make a renewal of my passport. I want to ask if I can use the new renewed passport if the petition is approve soon sir.

why am asking is because they said passport must be up to 6months before using for visa application , please sir tell me what to do if my passport expire before my file get here sir.

Sir, I really appreciate all your response sir. can you tell me the maximum duration of the CR1 petition we are about to apply for. how long will it take for the USCIS to approve it. why I ask is that, the k1 petition took about a year and this is what we are trying to run away from sir. please is there any way we can make the CR1 petition move faster.

but I still want to ask sir, can the USCIS change the status of the k1 to CR1 visa. why i ask this question is because my wife as already wrote a letter and send to the USCIS at Texas just to let them know we are legally married now. so I want to know if the k1 fiance visa can change to Cr1 by them, or we should just go ahead and apply for a new cr1 visa.

so why do they approoved it at the first place, they knew we have not met. they approoved it for us to waste money right. this is too bad.

thank you for your respond sir, but the uscis knows we have not met in person due to her health condition and they approoved the case at first place.

this is an hardship case, but should incase the case is reaffirm and send back, would my visa be granted to me.

good morning sir, my case as being sent to the uscis and the uscis just informed us.
sir please kindly let know. if the case is reaffirm and send back to the embassy. would my visa be issue out to me. the doctor still saying my fiance can not travel yet, due to her health condition. and that as make us not have met each other in person. and this is the reason why my visa is not issued to me on my previous interview. and now sir, the case as being return to the uscis and the uscis as contacted my fiance over there in the U.S but the doctor still confirm us that she cant travel.

if by any means the uscis review the case and send it back. can the consular reconsider me to go and meet my fiance and get married to her immediately.

I have been pretty clear about this so this will be the last time I address your question -
U.S. law requires that you meet in person before the K-1 petition is filed. If you file a CR-1 marriage petition, it must be submitted to USCIS for approval before they send it to us for the interview. No exceptions.

Thank you sir, I really appreciat your good work. She would have really love to come to me so tht we can meet before the petition takes place but she was really sick of breast cancer and she went through kimo terrapy and after kimo terrapy , she went through sugery on her breast and because of all this treatment she was not able to travel by then and the uscis demand for so many proove from her doctor before the file was finally being approved but the lagos embassy still demand we should have met, after I made a good explaination to the consular, this is why she want to come now that the file is still open here in the embassy, I want to know if they can reconsider us and give me the visa when we both go to the consular and she will explain her self to them why we can not met before she file the petition.

Sir , please advise if they can reconsider us. We have suppose to be together now and filing another petition will take long time to be approve again that is why we want to go pleed with the consular.

Sure, they can go in and speak with American Citizens Services. This does not, however, influence or speed up your immigrant visa petition.

Thank you sir, we are planing to get married before going to meet with the consular at the lagos embassy, but she find out that the k1 file is still open there at the embassy and as the consular only demand that me and my fiance should meet before the petition started, and she is coming to meet me now, my question is, can me and she go to them since file is still open.
