“And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.”
(1 Samuel 1: 11)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Elkanah embarked on a journey year by year. This journey involved sacrifice; it was also a chance for Hannah to pray. Year after year, Hannah probably prayed the same prayers; her desire was to have her own child; she kept praying for the same miracle to happen.

Hannah’s prayers were not immediately answered, but she definitely soaked in enough prayers into her ‘Samuel’s project’ that when the child eventually arrived, he was not an ordinary child; Hannah's prayers, though not immediately answered, seemed to be building an unimaginable future.

Friend, your consistent prayers today will build an unimaginable future. When you are praying consistently and persistently on the same issue and it seems God is not yet showing up, just maybe, your prayers are helping to work out a greater result than you intended. Just like some physical items take long periods of time to produce, there are things God might want to package for you, and instead of taking simple prayers, they might take long term prayers.

The fact that your prayers have not received divine attention does not mean that God is not listening or He forgot about your answers. Whenever you pray, God hears, and possibly adds something new to the answer He already designed for you. Whenever you pray, be certain that your prayers are never wasted.

When Hannah’s prayers were answered, the result did not look like something that came out of a single session of prayers. Her son was a man-child. Pray on even when it seems that God is yet to respond. Your prayers today will build an unimaginable future.

Prayer: Lord, may my prayers work out an unimaginable future for me, in Jesus’ name! Amen

Praise the Lord!!!

I want to appreciate the name of our Lord Jesus for His protection over my life.

Yesterday, a loaded bus with failed break hit my car from behind and damage the car, I want to give God all the glory for saving my life.

Also, today I discovered I was having back pain, I had my bath and ready to go out but I couldn't back my baby due to the excruciating pain I was having, I managed to drop him, I discovered I couldn't stand nor seat or even lie down, I couldn't even lift my baby no matter how hard I tried, no one to call for help cos I was all alone with my little children, I didn't know when I started crying and prayed for God's mercies and healing.

Right now to the glory of God alone, the pain has really subsided, I can easily bent down and pick anything I want, I can attend to my kids with ease all to the glory of God alone.

I thank the Almighty God, the I am that I am, the father of the fatherless for His mighty touch. May His mighty name be praise forever. Amen!

God has did it for me again!

I swear to God I have been experiencing changes in my life since I started following this page. Here's my testimony again and it happen today just few hours ago


There's this job I applied March this year. Few days later they called me to come for interview. immediately after the interview they told me that they'd test me for 3days to see if I can handle the job.

After the 3days test. they said, "fine, we'll get back to you, expect our call anyday anytime ". Well, I haven't heard from them since then. Although, I called the HR twice to greet him as reminder.

Amazingly! today Wednesday 1st of June, he called me that I should come to meet him in the office. Joyfully, I went to the office, he told me that they are satisfied with the way I handle the job so they hired me I should resume work tomorrow, I'm so happy right now, thank you God.
