And yes, the Christian religion emphatically states that there are laws which no longer apply today. And that's why the bible has an "old testament", and a "new testament". Most of the laws of the old testament no longer applies to Christians because they have been "fulfilled" in Christ. For example, Christians no longer shed the blood of animals to receive forgiveness of sins, as commanded in the old testament.

Another example is that, in the new testament, Christians are now commanded to love their enemies and not kill them as in some religions.
