He's a technocrat, no doubt, but his background is mainly in business or public administration, and banking. He seems more suited to running a Ministry or a government agency, and not the CBN. He could have been made the Finance Minister instead, as he has experience in Economic planning and Budgeting. But, in my opinion, a CBN governor should be a through-bred Economist. Anyway, let's hope he performs well. Sanusi Lamido, with his background in banking, remains arguably one of the best CBN Governor we have had. The middle belt, south south the ones wey no get voice. Dem follow us come count bridge.
A leader and drug lord are parallel lines.
Seriously na now I understand wetin obj do as president.
Balanced equation Well he fought the war. He understands and holds no grudge
Buhari a failure even in war front Failed as military head of state and failed as a democratic head of state. Tinubu never knew what war was. He was doing drugs.
So they just dey help military dey prepare for take over.
Funny part is na young military officers dey collect government and not the old cargo generals.
But must we reach that level to know that this is not good for a united Nigeria. |

Family › Re: Should Nigeria Limit Children Born Into Each Family In This Economy? by Blessed4sure: 9:20am On Aug 28, 2023 |
You are right. It becomes worse when people give birth to children they cannot afford to care for. As Tthe bible also says' "if any provide not for his house, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel." 1 Tim 5:8. Puss360: Long overdue..... Very long over do...
But we are being hindered by two main reasons..
- 1- RELIGION - According to Christian Bible, Gen 1 Vs 28, "Be fruitful and multiply, Subdue the earth and conquer it" was God's word to man.. Again, Psam 127 vs 3-5 " Children are heritage from the lord....................... Blessed is the man who filled his quiver with them"
According to Islam Quran "Sura 4 (An-nisa) Ayah 3, talks about a man marrying more than one wife....
2- LEGISLATURE The vast majority of our house of assembly are made of Islamic members.. So it is really hard to pass such a very delicate law....
But on a long run it will be beneficial to our economy |

Thanks so much for your advice. I really appreciate. I didn't intend lying about it though. Just wanted to know if I should be silent about it unless the interviewer brings it up. Jahard: If you’re on F2, and intend converting to F1, I think you’d still have to come back to Nigeria for an interview (I stand to be corrected). I don’t think there’s a reason to lie about your wife’s F1 status, she probably filled in your details on her Ds 160 when she was applying for F1. You’d have to come up with very strong home ties. |

Please, I have the following question regarding the Skilled Worker's Program:
If a principal applicant gets admitted into Canada, can the dependent stay and work in Canada where the principal is in another country.
I'm asking for someone who is in Nigeria but his wife is studying in the USA until year 2026, and they intend to use the wife's profile for the application as she stands a better chance.
Can the lady go back to the USA while the man stays and looks for a job in Canada?

And why would Nigerians not want subsidy, when the minimum wage is #30,000? seunmsg: The part in bold is wrong. Very wrong. Government is not paying subsidy because we import petrol. Government pay subsidy because Nigerians don’t want to buy petrol at market determined price. We want to buy petrol at a price regulated below the cost of production and profit margin of petrol importers and refiners. Let’s understand this and not confuse each other, please. |

But an Igbo man who is resident in Lagos and is in fact the NBA chair in Lagos, can be appointed in the east right? It's the governor's business to appoint who he deems competent to move the state forward. But sorry, that argument you gave holds no water. Anyway, Nigeria as a whole has a long way to go in this regards. Lagos is mainly the only south west state that appoints some non-Yorubas. Nwanna2588: The Yorubas should learn to travel and eke out an existence in Igbo land if they want an appointment in Igbo land. The reason why Igbos are getting an appointment in Yoruba land and other places is that they predominate the place. A Yoruba man cannot stay in Yoruba land and expect an offer in Igbo land. People of the same ethnicity settling in the same neighbourhoods is the reason why we have places like Ama Awusa in Aba and many others but there are no such places like the Yoruba quarter in Igbo land. So join the traveller's bandwagon and get what you are yearning for. Even though you deny them appointment offers what about elective positions in area like Oshodi Isolo? |

Never mind, dude. You have won. But don't spend all your life on Nairaland, try to check out forums like quora and see what people's mentality is, who are not Nigerians. Perhaps you'll be able to see that asking simple questions doesn't correlate to bad belle and finding loopholes. My first comment was just to correct someone else's mistake, not even the OP's. Until you carried it on your head like gala. I initially thought it was someone I could exchange words with, in a decent conversation. Knowing how to calculate 2023 - 2016 is now the definition of maturity. Oshey, calculator, wey no dey make mistake. Karleb: I don’t care whether your life is better than mine. Bad belle?, because it adds anything to my pocket, right? Granted I made a mistake with the duration, but it's not your business to tell me to grow up. And there's no assurance your life is in any way better than mine. My first comment was not even to disprove the guy's assertion. I only pointed out that the business started at least five years ago. And I gave allowance in my first comment to you, by saying it's possible POS business could have started in Lagos by then. I was even throwing banters with you. It's a pity many Nigerians can't have decent and intelligent conversations without being abusive. Please stay off my mentions and get a life too. Nobody must question anything. Asking simple questions must be bad belle. No wonder the country is like this. One begins to wonder whether na low IQ things ,or the frustrating economic situation. Karleb: Bro, is 2016 5 years ago? POS was popular in AAUA especially in 2018. Even student did it as the business was very fast.

Take it easy before pouring out bile on others. You can simply explain. Or are you the OP using another account? It can be deduced from the writeup that he started the POS business about five years ago. He claimed he started the business when his fiancee who is now 25, was 20 years.
