He may have died of cardiac arrest or other cardiovascular complications but, one thing I am sure of is that, it was precipitated by the phobia of facing the panel. Our people are very funny, they don't quiver when they are eating fat from the national revenue but, the moment they are surmoned to come and explain, they start fidgeting or even slump and die of phobia. Rip to him. Immediately I heard about his death I know the public will not disappoint to have an opinion of him being guilty of a fraud. This is not the first time he will be going for such defence. He merely appeared before the Public Account Committee of the NASS to report the performance of NCS in terms of its core mandate which is revenue generation for the period under consideration. If you know how digitalized the whole customs operation have been you will not be thinking that he's being guilty of any financial misdemeanor. These are direct payments into the CBN account. |

I just hope that this is the truth just so he can spend the rest of his life in jail for being so STUPID.
Lots of IDIOOOTS go about pranking people to "creat contents". This one would be a lesson. They should provide a coverage then....but that will still not prevent them from serving jail term |

Yadid: Granted that they are suffering, the question now is, are they actually suffering because the agencies are not funded enough by government or because there are some "ogas at the top" who are siphoning the money meant for the agencies? For your information, I know some of the civil servants in these agencies. call them out, let's drag them |
Politics › Re: How FIRS, Customs, NUPRC Received More Allocation Than States – Agora Policy by Blessedarethepe(m): 3:22pm On Jun 12, 2024 |
Yadid: I understand your point, and I am well aware of the percentage of money they take as running cost. However, the percentage increase of their collection cost is rising faster than the percentage increase of their gross revenue. Let us not pretend as if we don't know what happens in most government agencies in this country. Civil servants working in these agencies are suffering can't you you see for yourself |

What is FIRS doing with such money that is bigger that state allocation? The word to describe what they are doing with our money hasn't been invented. Have you seen the budget that goes to Nass, your state house of assembly and even your governors, and what ratio of money they spend to the public despite the fact that they still steal from it ?? |

Politics › Re: How FIRS, Customs, NUPRC Received More Allocation Than States – Agora Policy by Blessedarethepe(m): 12:35pm On Jun 12, 2024 |
Yadid: The only problem, I think, is their cost of collection rising to over 400 percent while gross revenue is just above 200 percent. That means they are spending more money than they are making. That is bad business. Dig into it now, and you will realise that corruption is at the very root of that anomaly. it is 7% of revenue generated that is given to them to finance their operations. While the 93% goes to Federation account for your politicians to steal. If these agencies are not well maintained I can't predict the woes that will befall Nigeria. Do you realise the impact of smuggling in the country at all? Do you know how much customs pay for maintenance for its effective performance? |
