regular Chinese SUV. Are you getting it brand new? If yes, enjoy during warranty period.
How do you mean regular SUV. Would you categorize it as strong or weak.

Boss. Happy Easter in Advance.

Please how strong is a GAC GS3 SUV. Like how durable or fragile is the car.

And what maintenance tips does one need to make the car last longer on Nigerian Roads.

Thanks

Below is the USA version..... The part number is very clear (pic) 1.......

Yours pic (2) ..... It is not very clear at all .. Try and match the exact part number to (pic 1)

Since yours is not USA spec .. The USA spec might not sit up well in the engine base ... The space might be too tight to sit .......

Like I said early on with a Hyundai Tucson that was bought brand new in Nigeria .... We were able to get a USA spec ... But when it was time to replace with the Nigerian bought Tucson , the space was too tight and the mechanic had to construct a space for it .. It worked well ..........

If you are willing to do it and give it a try . I can get it shipped for you under 200k ... I will be loading again in two weeks time ........

See new pics

Honestly, this job ain't for you.
Where is the part number location on the compressor in pic1?

After sniffing stuff you think the whole world revolves around your high yellow a*s**s and you can dabble into any profession and do well?

Hi. The numbers on the old compressor is very blurry. Seems like they never wanted anyone to know what was written.

Attached is a seeming clearer pic of the sticker and a picture of the old compressor.

I asked you earlier if your accent was a USA spec ... I didn't get a response ......

But after digging , I found out that it is not a USA spec .. It seems you bought it in Nigeria via Dana Motors.......

The USA spec is mainly a 1.6liter engine , very reliable and strong engine ....... While urs is a 1.4liter engine those engines are design for 3rd world market in my humble opinion .........

So in essence if I do end up buying the compressor from the USA it might not fit your spec ...........

For future reference when buying cars ... Always try sticking to USA spec .. They are usually built better and last longer .....

As you may have guessed, I did not buy the car. It's an Official vehicle. How do I know the exact part number for the compressor.

Attached is the sticker on the bad compressor.

The gods told him? Or he calculated it based on scientific means.

I do not know how he arrived at that oh. But he seemed like a professional and knew what he was saying. I would not use it for that long but at least it gives me sometime to save for the fix. Thank you

Thank you all for your contribution. I appreciate.

I actually called a friend who works in Stallion motors and he gave me a contact of one of their technician.

The guy visited my house, looked at the construction the Kazeem did and told me in the long run it may have an effect on the engine as already postulate. Be he said I could drive the car like that for like 4 months till like November, while I save up to change the compressor and all the welded pipes. He gave a budget of N250k for the compressor.

BTW, if anyone has a better option on price for the compressor I am open to look at it. I stay in Lagos but can pay delivery if the price is better. I no be Cubana oh. Make una help me get better deal. Peace.

When i had same AC issue, no seer told me before I ordered brand new Denso compressor from USA. Not even mechanic that repaired Woli Arole's car was able to convince me in switching to manual compressor...... Enjoying my money now to the fullest....
Rule no 1 in car maintenance: Run from kazeem that suggest manual compressor or direct fan connection
God bless dru23 and Mosbus wherever they are
Thank you all for your reply. I would remove it tomorrow. Please how can I order the compressor and how much is it. Do you have anyone available.

you messed your car up by using a wrong mechanic. Try and get a competent mechanic that will install the original automatic compressor for your car (you can buy online and ship down)
How do I know the original. I saw lots online and got confused. Also, do you know any trusted mechanic.

my 2017 Hyndai Accent 1.4 liter AC began to have faults. I felt it was just change of gas but when I went to an AC mechanic he said it was Compressor and Condenser damage and I had to change it.
He searched for the compressor and brought on compressor he said was manual type and fitted to the car using what looked like an Iron made slab as the base to make it hold onto the compressor space. After he change the condenser. I paid N90k for the service. But after test driving I found out the car draggs and began to consume much more fuel. Looked like a heavier size compressor was used.
I return it and he said he would change the compressor. He now used a second hand one that he said was removed from a Corolla to fit into the space with another iron locally constructed place as a base. But till now, the vehicle drives different. It seems like it's carry a heavy load and the engine sounds havier when I accelerate.
Please what can be the cause. The car I brand new and I have never had any issues outside routine service and it's frustrating.
Please can any one assist. Does anyone know the cost of a direct replacement of the compressor and if there is another solution.
The original one was a n automatic compressor this is manual. Is there any difference?
PS- I stay in Port Harcourt.
Thank

Get the original automatic if you like that engine. Never construct ac in a any car. Use the manufacturer specs as there is a solid and valid reason for that. Anything short of that will stress the engine.
Please do you know where I can get the original compressor and the cost. I could not fine it here.
