Knowing God's will and not doing them is very dangerous (2 Peter 2:20-21, Luke 12:47).This is because the punishment of disobedience is according to the privileges available to each sinner (Luke 12:41-48,John 9:41,John 15:22). What are these privileges? They are the things you know about God,holiness, judgement etc. They are God's commandments (instruction) given to you through the Bible and the Holy Spirit (1 Timothy 3:16).Other means include: words from your brethren (pastors, teachers, parents, etc),Christian articles,Christian movies, gospel songs etc. How will you know if these other means are of God (1 John 4:1)? It's easy,God will never contradict His Word. Therefore, study the Holy Bible and pray for the help of the Holy Spirit. Now that you know the will of God,what do you think the future holds in store for you or that unrepentant member of your family.HARDEN NOT YOUR HEART,the destruction is sudden and without remedy (Proverbs 29:1). Remember, you have no inkling of what will happen next. If you find it difficult to obey God,pray to God in faith and discipline yourself (Psalm 119:101).God is faithful,He will make way for you (1 Corinthians 10:13). The word “modesty” has been overused that a majority (Christians unfortunately) have lost its flavour: Even though some have meant it to be limited only to outward dressing which is a critical part, they haven’t adhered to its principles either. It’s a shame what you see today amongst the believers under the cover of “grace” and “thou shall not judge” type of ideology; yet we preach it to young people expecting them to cover up,but we never applied it to our lives consistently. How come? Some synonyms for the word “Modesty” is: “unpretentiousness” and “self-consciousness”. When the Spirit of God truly dwells in you,you understand that you are His ambassador representing Him in EVERYTHING you do (Col 1:27b “Christ in you, the hope of glory”). This includes the thoughts of your heart that generate the words you speak (Matth 12:34,“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”); it also includes the decisions you make, your outlook, the way you treat other people when they are not the same with you,the way you comport yourself both in Church and in public places (dressing included),and the way you treat your spouse and children at home. This is modesty! Don’t let us meant it to be one but ignoring the other because you can still have that outward garment on without a clean heart or good attitude. In the first place, why do you want to dress to expose that sensitive part of your body? To who’s glory, when the bible says you are His temple? Modesty is from the inside out and it is expected of all.Modesty applies to both men and women. You may not have a complete understanding of what I’m talking about here but I pray God will grant you understanding and His grace. If you don’t have Jesus I use this opportunity to invite you to come to Him today for salvation.Let Him in your world today, and He promised to give you His Spirit who will teach you “all things”. He will accept you as you call on Him in repentance of your sins. https://wetrainchristians./2016/03/14/modesty Phil 4:5 “Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand” I Cor. 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” I Tim 2:9 “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;” Prov 31:30 “Favour [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain: [but] a woman [that] feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” Matthew 5:28 “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” |

If our body is the temple of God’s spirit, then we had better give him a healthy temple. Our attitude and health can affect our service to others and to the Kingdom. The little things we miss hold great value on how we live and even view life.Let’s break it down.Remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19).This body is not our own we were bought with a price(vs 20).Therefore honour GOD in your bodies.Would you go and pollute a place of worship? We do this when we pick up bad habits in our health and attitudes.Sometimes these habits and comforts are coming in place of going to GOD for rest and comfort. When we choose “comfort” foods saturated in high fats and sugar will increase our risks of diabetes, cholesterol and many other diseases. When we choose to eat junk we get a “high” from the comfort and then left feeling sluggish and unmotivated.Often which leads to a restless night from the caffeine and sugars. Then go about the day with little energy heading towards a crash.Ask yourself “Am i really taking care of my body and watching my attitude?” ***Spiritual health also includes nourishing yourself with the word of GOD daily. 1) How do you feel about your body,do you view it as a temple of the Holy Spirit? Do you over indulge in foods? One girl joked “I have metal filling in my teeth. My refrigerator magnets keep pulling me into the kitchen and that’s why I can’t lose weight!!!” Temptation plays a big part in our spiritual life just like it does our health life. 2) what is your attitude toward exercise? Do you make excuses to keep from working out? If so this means you are not disciplined. And being disciplined is vital to our spiritual growth.Fasting Spiritually would then be an added bonus.I encourage all to study scriptures on Spiritual fasting. 3) Do you agree that GOD’s spirit lives in you? If you believe in Christ then you are sealed for the day of redemption.Remember the spirit sees what you see and feels what you feel.Be well and allow yourself to be used well in the kingdom of GOD.March on Soldier! Treat your body like a holy temple not like a trash can. God bless. https://wetrainchristians./2015/07/17/health-and-attitude-check/ |
Look at the ravens, they don’t plant, harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! (Luke 12:24) Stock markets crash, jobs are lost and homes are turned over. Each of these events can be devastating and alter the course of our lives. But if our identity is wrapped up in each of them,we can lose our faith in God.Don’t let these earthly events cause you to worry or doubt your Heavenly Father.Your identity rests as a child of God. Remember the raven, who is far less cherished but to whom God is still faithful. https://wetrainchristians./2015/08/25/look-at-the-ravens/ |

We are a generation that has perverted the name of Love by ignoring the Love and the power of the name of Jesus. We think that if it feels good,it's love.We think that if it's what we want, then it's love and if we think it's right in things that we support such as same sex marriage or immorality. And when trying to correct these thoughts that go against God's words,it's said that it is judgmental and an act of hate but true love corrects with mercy and a motivation for change and for God's glory. To ignore sin and support sin and not lead people to the cross is sin itself. Correction must be done wisely and based on GOD'S word, without quarrelsome, and done gently (See 2 Timothy 2:23-26). We must understand that sex is not love based on a feeling.Sex is a gift only given to one man and one woman joined together in Holy Matrimony.Anything done outside of that is considered immoral (fornication) and has a wage of death (Romans 6:23). Making love doesn't make it love.God is love, and anything that dishonours God's holy word is lust.Searching for anything outside of HIS word is Lust.Be careful what you seek and what you call love that it is not truly lust.Don't go outside of GOD to get something you want because you will have to stay outside of GOD to keep it. True Love wants whats best for the other person, while lust wants what's best for self.We must decrease of ourselves and increase in Christ (John 3:30),in doing this we put on the like-minded attitude of Christ and allow the Spirit to create a new heart in us; a servant heart.Love grows slowly with patience.Love is kind and does not boast (1 Corinthians 13:4- while lust seeks to please self no matter the cost or thought of what harm it may do to others or your own spiritual growth. This is when the deception of sin creeps in as it did in the Garden of Eden with the fruit being appealing to the eyes wrapped in the promises of the world, but inside rotten to the core. With just one bit of promised pleasure comes the curse and consequences that bring a lifetime of fallout from one wrong decision made in the flesh rather than walking in the spirit. "For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world." (1 John 2:16).Any relationship that focuses on the outside more on the inside and spiritual growth with Jesus at the center is a relationship rooted in lust rather than love. This will cause endless cycles of chaos, fights, jealousy, lack of trust, etc. While a relationship rooted in Christ is a relationship with stability, even though moments of testing and trial will still come,Love will always preserve and never fail.Source: https://wetrainchristians./2016/02/14/are-you-in-love-or-in-lust/ |

In Matthew 18:1-5,the disciples wanted to know who was the greatest in the Kingdom. It's just like us in the world to always want to know who is doing and looking better than everyone else in the world. We're eager to get ahead of everyone else, and we don't realize in our push to get ahead we are passing by people who need our help.Jesus' response shows why there is a Kingdom and that we all have a role to play.Jesus has in mind the humility and humbleness of a child who does not seek social approval or opinion. We must seek the Kingdom first even when others tell us we are no longer to pray, or say "merry Christmas" or talk about GOD or read our bibles. ***In Christ you have the same blessings as Abraham (Galatians 3:6-29).You have the Faith and obedience of Noah (Hebrews 11:7).The Faith of Daniel who opened his window to pray when secular law decreed it to be illegal and act against the King,Daniel refused to stop worshiping GOD (Daniel 6:10).You have the same strength of Samson within you (Judges 14:6).You have the same courage and boldness of Peter (Acts 2:14 ;Acts 4:13).Peter once denied Jesus (John 18:15-27)- Just as you once walked in darkness but now proclaims boldly shows that GOD will use anyone and no matter your past you are equipped with greatness as you are being transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:49).You have been equipped for a purpose (Ephesians 4:12-16) ; commissioned to live and preach the Kingdom life. What is stopping you from acting out boldly? Overflow with love and truth until sickness responds, until family responds, until friends who once refused Jesus come to know him, because they know you.Until Nations respond and until you mouth no longer Physically opens because you refuse to keep quiet. Meditating on the Word of God day and night WITHOUT CEASING.This is the KINGDOM LIFE! |
Greatness hinges on how you maximise what you have.Maximise that little thing today! |
