He did not claim to be one thing and speak a different variant of Igbo language.

Abia state has different ways Igbo is spoken depending on what part you are from but he matched his claim with his words.

Any other tribe claiming Igbo would speak central Igbo but he spoke the Igbo from his own specific part of Abia.
