supreme Court did not empowered the court to issue subpoenas. the US Constitution empowers the house to issue subpoenas. there was a lengthy court battle between the executive and legislature whether the judiciary can issue subpoenas. the court only recognized Congress right to issue subpoenas as enshrined in the Constitution.

Court subpoenas are supreme and the presidency cannot exercise executive privileges over them. when there is a disagreement between the executive and legislature, it is the judiciary that is supposed to give orders.

The Chairman of the Committee is a former National Union of Road Transport (NURTW), chairman in the state, Alhaji Lamidi Mukaila Auxillary, and the Secretary is Alhaji Tajudeen.

It is public knowledge that Alhaji Lamidi Mukaila Auxillary was sentenced to six years imprisonment for conspiracy to murder.

Auxiliary was sentenced by Justice Eni Esan of the Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan. Also jailed were Saidi Kareem, Abu Kareem and Kazeem Kayode.
