The consular officer didn’t even ask of any receipt or referral from the hospital. He just gave us the blue slip and said that we are ineligible. No document(s) tendered to know the validity of the claim.

Expedite appointment based on what reason?

It’s based on medical grounds for my son who is supposed to be having a surgery on the 30th of May 2023. So that’s the reason why I’m going to be making an expedited appointment. Besides, the consular officer didn’t even ask if there are any supporting documents to back up our claims, like the letter that was addressed to the embassy from the hospital in the United States. Thanks 😊

You can reapply right away. For visa applicants who required a visa interview , the visa interview appointment wait time in Lagos right now is more than a year. If you apply now, your appointment will be around mid-2024.
 

You mean I can reapply immediately? even after we have been turned away the first time just yesterday the 4th of April, 2023. I made an expedited appointment which was approved and that was why we got an earlier date. If I reapply, I will also make an expedited appointment and would my status have changed yet to be able to get a new date? Thanks 😊

Me: I gave it to him
V.O: any traveling experience?
Me: No
V.O: where are you going to
Me: Miami Florida and I told him what’s taking us there
V.O: what do you do

V.O: continued typing
V.O: sorry you are ineligible at this time and I don’t have anything to tell u about it. Then handed over a blue paper to us.


Pls how long before one can reapply because we met all the criteria that he told us that we aren’t eligible about.

The V.O was mean and sort of rude. I pray anyone on here doesn’t meet that kinda man.

Pls help! I have an appointment scheduled for the 4th of April 2023 (next week Tuesday) with my family wife and a son. The question that I want to ask is that:
1. Do I and my family( wife and son) need to update my DS-160 form as it’s been like over 9 months since I applied for the USA visa interview?

2. During the course of the waiting on the appointment date, my wife gave birth to another child about 2 weeks ago. Do I need to get a passport for the child or he can be attached to the mom’s since he is just a baby.
