In this century where technological advancement is the order of the day, this is what a student of Auchi polytechnic innovated.

Many countries are
looking for a way of moving automobile engine out of their highway but this is what we are busy doing in Nigeria.

Who do we blame for this backwardness, government or ourselves?

Education / Top 10 Best Education Courses You Can Study by blogbuilder: 6:03pm On Oct 21, 2017
Edu is the clip form for education. Edu as it is normally refer to by many, is the compound name for any education related course. These courses are offered in most universities and colleges of education in Nigeria.
The graduate of any of these courses will be awarded B. Ed (university) or NCE (college) at the completion of the program.

The mindset of many Nigerian admission seekers and undergraduates is that education related courses are reserved for people with middle or low IQ. But this is wrong simply because education courses are design mainly to train teachers and researchers. The best teachers so far are the edu graduates

Why you must study Education related course

Employment : According to statistics conducted by Nigeria bureau of statistics in 2009, education sector employs 29% of the total workforce in Nigeria. Therefore, education graduates have 90% chances of being employed in Nigeria.

Working experience : Unlike other sectors such as technical or oil and gas where 4-5years working experience is required, education graduate requires less working experience .

Less working hours: The working period for most of the lecturers and teachers is very minimal compare to other sectors.

Best education courses

Computer science and education : ICT related courses are the best when it comes to studying education. The reason for this is that you will be trained as a computer scientist and at the same time a teacher .This is an edge for you over others because you will become an hot cake after graduation, provided you equipped yourself with the required skills.
Your chances of being employed are very high.

Technical and vocational education :We all know that in Nigeria now ,it's not easy to make it focusing on only one source of income. If you study technical courses such as automobile, bricklaying and ceramics etc, you will be able to combine your job + the vocation you learn while in school.

Agricultural science and education :Since agriculture is still the most profitable venture one can embark on in Nigeria, studying agric science will equip you with the necessary skills you need to start up your own farming business while you are working. This will also make you a consultant in the field of agriculture.

Accounting :Studying education and accounting will give you two certification at the same time, that is, degree and education.
If you graduate with degree in accounting and education, you can apply for ICAN and become a chartered accountant while retaining the status quo. I know many of my lecturers that have these type of degrees and they are auditors in the other side. This gave them many source of income.

Entrepreneurship and education :This is one of the most valuable course in the developed countries such as USA. The reason for this is because many of the graduates with this degree start up their own business and become employers of labour after graduation .

Fishery: This is being ridiculed by many due to their ignorance about the course. Fishery is one of the most profitable aspect of agriculture. This subject has lesser teachers in schools across Nigeria. Therefore, it increases your chances of being employed. Remember, fishery is now a compulsory subject in the SSCE. Therefore, it's a very good course to study. Another added advantage is that you can practice fish farming while working and also become a constant.

Note:Its better to research and apply for a course that is employable in Nigeria rather than applying for already filled up course.
Above all, equip yourself with the necessary skills so as to make you employable and self reliant

If there's any of these courses I forgot to mention, you can add yours .......

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has faulted the impression being created in the media that his administration would be probed by the committee set up by the House of Representatives to look into how the budget allocated to the State House Medical Centre since 2015 was spent .
He said he had nothing to do with the 2015 Budget before he handed over power to President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29 of the same year.
He therefore said there was no way his administration would be included in the expected probe of allocations to the clinic .
Jonathan stated this in a statement signed by his Media Aide , Mr . Ikechukwu Eze, in Abuja on Saturday .
The statement read , “The House of representatives resolved Thursday 12 October, 2015 , to probe 2015- 2017 allocations to Aso Rock Clinic and some media reports are needlessly dragging the name of former President Goodluck Jonathan into it.
“We had thought that the media should be the first to remind Nigerians that since Jonathan left office on May 29 , 2015 , he had absolutely nothing to do with the implementation of the budget for that year .
“For emphasis , the 2015 Appropriation Bill which was passed by the parliament in April was signed into law in May , 2015 .
“And since the procurement process , based on the new procurement law , takes at least three months to complete , there was no way Jonathan would have had anything to do with the budget implementation for 2015, before vacating Aso Rock Villa on May 29 , 2015. ”
Eze said going by the way some people make insinuations on issues that bordered on the development in country , it would appear as if Jonathan had been in office since independence and probably still ruling .
“We expect media houses to always do proper investigations to avoid the convenient choice of always using Jonathan as the scapegoat for the misdeeds of others ,” he added .

Almost two months after he returned to the country from his medical trip to London , United Kingdom , President Muhammadu Buhari has yet to return to his office inside the Presidential Villa , Abuja .
But the Presidency says the situation has not in any way hindered the President from performing his duties.
Buhari , who arrived the country on August 19 to a wild jubilation by Nigerians after spending over 100 days abroad , has been operating from an office located inside his official residence and another one located inside the Presidential Banquet Hall .
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity , Garba Shehu , had said the President ’s office needed renovation because of its devastation by rodents during his long period of absence .
“Following the three -month period of disuse , rodents have caused a lot of damage to the furniture and the air conditioning units ,” he had said , explaining that it was impossible for the President to operate from the office in that condition .
Although he said he could not tell when the renovation would be completed , the presidential spokesperson had stated that the maintenance company had been asked to speed up its pace of work .
However , 56 days after the President ’s return to the country , he has yet to resume in his office .
His residence and the Presidential Banquet Hall , where he operates from are less than five minutes ’ walk from his office .
The President has been hosting meetings and other events in the two venues .
This week alone , he held separate meetings with some state governors and the nation ’ s security chiefs at the venues .

Information reaching me this evening has it that the students of federal polytechnic ,ado ekiti has taken the law into their hand by setting the school health center and other facilities on fire.
The aggressive protest follow the death of one of the student. The student blame the death of their colleague over the non challant attitude of the health center worker
It is worthy to note that this is not the first time that incident like this will be happening in Nigeria institution.

More update later........ ....
